When the dog comes back to its vomit is a sign of where his heart is, in the filth, in the garbage that controls his spirit.

http://prophecy.org.il/0079-prophecy/

Jesus said to flee from sin, that sin is crouching at the door and you must overcome it, faith without works is dead. If you're not going to get serious with God, He's not going to get serious with you. It's a good sign that you feel some sorrow for your sin which is why you posted, but you need to take real action on a daily basis. Tomorrow, you might die and then what? It's a sobering thought. When I was younger, I went through a serious phase where I cut off all contact from the outside world and read the Bible in a short time. Not saying you have to do the same, maybe you do, but Jesus was serious when He said either cut off you arm or go to Hell. I'd watch some YouTube videos in NDEs of Hell, like Mary Baxter, or whatever you find to get some grip on yourself. Don't let the Devil lie and deceive you, it may take you 50 or a hundred times but you need to TRY and earnestly PRAY, the flesh is weak but the Spirit is strong as said in the Word of God so you need to put on your armor soldier and FIGHT. READ the Bible. PRAY. Take Daily Communion. It's time to get serious now or never.

Just like masturbation is a habit, so too is NoFap. You have to bite your teeth together and not do it. Don't touch your d— except for washing. No PMO - No Porn, No Masturbation, No Orgasm. Cross days out on this NoFap calender if you want a sense of achievement.

I suppose this is the new nofap general now. It was full of my posts of reaction images and song lyrics and little desperate poems and dumb cries for help, as I dumbed myself down with dumb things and sin, but times change.. I was never not like a child wailing, and never have I not been recieved back in the utmost mercy, even when the nature of my sins surely surpass any living man who would be in my position.

Recently, my actions have changed following the mortal sin and total destruction of masturbation, almost as if culminating. I had begun to weep following every time, pray for an hour straight, fall to the ground in discomfort with my posture etc, and pray longingly, almost bitterly. But this surely can be no habit; and no substitute for simply abstaining from sin, fleeing from it.

only today, when I fell again, I felt no such thing. My tears were few and arguably forced, my feelings were only of dread. I had began to pray differently, realising I was addressing God, Creator, Himself. However, now, in the face of having sin on my conscience, I had to face the fact I had committed this crime against God Himself, and then as now, no word, no cry, no view, beam of light or sound could be just enough to reflect the base of dread and fear which is then

It can't.. be too late for me, can it brothers? I have feared every time - what if now, I've crossed the line, why should I deserve to breathe now. It would be better if I fell ill; it would be better if I gave my life in taking it back, but no. Still, why have even the security of waking up the next day. Yes, I have often felt it. But now, I fear most, as every sin compounds; the truthfulness of these fears do as well. For years, for years I've sinned, for years nothing has changed. I have learned so much; I have been given so much, and I have turned my back on Christ and now I breathe but do not draw life into my body, and I have yet to serve any penance. My question is not whether or not Christ may forgive me, if God will forgive me… It is whether or not I will stop sinning, because I will not have talk of nofap, PMO, etc anymore… no more streaks; they do not last… I can't take it anymore, I want to be off, I want it dead, I never want to sin again. Am I a reprobate. Am I to stop. It cannot be another way, yet how from here.

And I cry out of of knowledge, no feeling; for I have desolated myself. I have prayed for Him to break my heart and let me so, but no tears have left me, no penance I've spent. I've been crying for years, but I've never repented in my life. Previously, I have always went on with my life, and laughed, and did things, etc… but now, how could I?

It's not easy, but I think of the damage it not only causes myself.. but those in the industry itself. There are countless stories that you can find on a Google search. Both male and female porn workers. It doesn't matter.

Also; let me remind you that though we know of torture of Christians in regards to martyrdom etc and the sheer force of penance this represents, let me remind you there exist other forms of torture, and this one is no less bloody. Think of your enduring martyrdom instead, if you could do it. When reflecting upon the seriosity of these things, the demons attacking you will as well, and, well, I hope it will help you…

Aside from this you may focus on the sheer

destruction of beauty in God's creation on a cellular level, all the literal death you are invoking, all the sin which you are becoming co-arbitor of, and all the work, beauty and biology of your body which you are making unclean, let alone that of spiritual kind… Then of course there is praying, using a prayer rope if you are cathodox, using a prayer rope if you are not cathodox, and praying, praying, praying… It will be very hard then to cease one for the other.

Truth be told, I cannot control the latter fully, nor even the former, but it's much better now. We're all human, even David was undone by Bathsheba, but any sincere effort at control is better than nothing. I used to watch porn every day, but it was what I watched that concerned me more.

What works is a combination of acceptance and striving and patience. It took a year to fix everything I had done, everything I told myself. All of it was very uncomfortable, but in the end it was God's gracious words that told me that I was normal. I found it difficult to admit even to God that I masturbated or watched porn. It sounds silly, but when you wish you didn't do something so much you don't think straight. There's no manual to how to do this, your heart needs to be open though, and you can't be afraid of being embarrassed, you can't trick yourself out of this. You have to reveal the cause of your shame, and be re-accepted and forgiven by God, yourself, and by those you may have hurt.

It's not easy at all, which is why there are so many nofap threads filled with people complaining and not doing. However, this is not strictly true, because even confessing anonymously is a step in the right direction.

Anyway, farbeit from me to say that I'm righteous in this cause, because I'm not. God said I'm normal, not perfect.

For me looking at porn had become a nearly involuntary response to boredom. I would find myself idly browsing porn without ever having thought about it, this of course would eventually lead to masturbation. Using ublock to block porn sites has helped since I can no longer just stumble into porn sites absent mindedly typed by muscle memory (a warning to /g/tards: vim keys everywhere might allow you to use your computer at the speed of thought, but it also allows you to do habitual things before you get the chance to think.). I still stumble now and then, but at least now it's a conscious decision, which amplifies the guilt before/during and the shame afterward, helping me do it less and less. This has also some what re-sensitized me to sexual imagery so that when I find myself delving into depravity, at least I only skim the surface instead of needing to dive to the depths to get my rocks off. Side benefit: I'm getting a lot more work done. It's true what they say about idle hands.

Some things that have helped me are:

>Daily mass

Not every day, but on one or two weekdays (and of course Sunday). When unclean images pop into my head, I think about the church I was in during the week, the images on the walls and ceilings, and it helps keep my head clear.

>Eucharistic adoration

- Same as above, sometimes just going to an empty church and sitting in front of a tabernacle for 10-15 minutes will have a profound effect on a person and will give you a mental image to call upon if the devil puts unclean images in your head.

>Confession

- The shame, guilt, and humility of confessing this to someone who went his whole life without sex is a pretty heavy burden

>Lots of engagement with Christian content

- This is easier for a Catholic, but viewing lots of Christian art and writings throughout the day keep your mind holy.

>Marriage

- Obvious reasons

Most importantly

>FLEE sexual immorality.

- Emphasis on the word "flee." Paul did not chose it by accident. RUN from it, don't move an inch in the wrong direction. Put porn blockers on your computer. Don't say "I just want to take a quick look at…" because you'll fall into a pit. E.g. if a video game has lewdly dressed women don't even play it at all. E.g. if women's wrestling turns you on don't watch any pro wrestling even if it's just men. E.g. if stuff you see on /pol/ causes you to stumble then it's time to humble yourself and use reddit.

I've found going to Confession and Mass regularly, developing a prayer routine, keeping myself busy with work, and having healthy social interactions with women (mostly at work) to be very effective lately.

<Confession and Mass

If you abstain from Confession and carry on in your day-to-day life in a state of mortal sin, even if you attend Mass regularly, you will inevitably drift away from God… and you likely won't realize it until you get yourself back into the confessional.

>prayer routine

Something I've been sorely lacking in lately, however this is a highly underrated way of keeping your mind focused on God. You cannot pray and engage in sinful acts at the same time - one will eventually overpower the other.

>work

With few exceptions, this is another great way of keeping yourself busy and accountable to others, even if only for part of your day. If you find yourself unoccupied before, after, or even during work, then pray.

>socializing with women

This isn't very beneficial or doable in some career fields obviously (construction, industrial, etc.), but in other careers you'll inevitably interact with women. Even though most of the women at my new job (healthcare) are secularists, I've noticed some positives…

>women make up 3/4ths of the staff

>many of the women are young, warm, and friendly, some coming off as flirtatious

>the men are mostly old and/or numales

…which prove to be beneficial to one's chastity…

>so many available women provide a renewed sense of hope for the struggling Christian man

>women wanting to interact with you is a huge confidence booster

>if you're a self-respecting Christian man in a sea of old or effeminate men, you become that much more attractive

Of course, you have to be careful of not falling into lust or sinful relations, but otherwise in the right work environment, interacting with friendly and (semi-)attractive women does wonders in undoing the detrimental effects porn and masturbation have on the mind, even if most of those women aren't marriage material.

Please pray for me, I am unable to get of this addiction alone, it's the hardest one and the darkest one for me. I have been in it's gasp for the past 10 years at minimum, and I am winnie the pooh 22. It is everywhere, and the worst part is I've been blessed with ability to deal with computer stuff so any (even advanced) blocking I do is circumvented just by the help of the devil and usage of my knowledge how to revert, and Satan even dares to use the virtue of patience given to my by God to circumvent any limits I put through.

Then even images in my mind sometimes are more than enough, and I pray 5 times a day in Latin, and each prayer I say the Actus Contritionis just to say those words, and realise their power and Lord's mercy. Sometimes saying couple of Ave Marias helps, but usually it is still not enough to fap less then 5-10 times a week. To make stuff worse, I study philosophy in a degenerate city, so the pressure in environment is for the Satan's sake. Probs the only blessing I will have is lower libido later, but I want to stop this sin as quickly as possible, as it was able to destroy so much, and despite I have with the help of God rebuild so much to wellness. But with each of regurgitation the darkness returns, and it destroys everything.

I also would say studying (post)modern philosophy is like giving devil a stronghold in your head, and it can be used as a prison, but also it can be used to control you and be dominant. I just wish to forget, and never come back. But then, the blessing of fine memory is again abused by Lucifer to made leaving sinfulness behind.

I think we should talk more about Saints who struggled with impurity like St. Mary of Egypt, or St. Augustine. I really recommend reading Saint Alphonsus text on the vice of impurity:

https://andamazinggrace.blogspot.com/2013/07/on-vice-of-impurity-by-st-alphonsus.html

It is probably the vice which is the harder for me, and every time I even think I conquered it (which is for extremely short) I tumble again. Position of the current pope on that, and considering it lesser sin makes it even easier, as if Satan wanted us to have this interpretation.

I honestly don't know. If I don't commit the venial sin of 3d fake pornography in a stupid game of Sims 4 of no one in particular except some figment of my imagination, I will notice the immodestly dressed girls at my daughter's High school, which is more towards the mortal sin category because they're real people.

They say wet dreams are not a sin, but … damn. How do you forget them?

Maybe I should do as Saint Francis, and roll around in the thorn bushes.

>How do you bros avoid the sin of pornography/masturbation?

You and all the posters in this thead; Matthew 22:29-30

>Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

>For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

You need to understand what marriage is. First of all turn to Matthew 19:2-9

>And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

>And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

>And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

>Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

>They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

>He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

>And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

So divorce, putting away a wife, and then marrying another is forbidden except for this vauge not yet defined word 'fornication'. Ok so what else? In Genesis 1:26-27 we get the story of "made them at the beginning".

>And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

>So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

So God created as stated in Genesis 5:1-2

>THIS is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

>Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

So Adam and Eve, male and female, were called Adam in the day when they were created. So here's the interesting part, they/Adam/Eve still being together since God hadn't taken Adam's rib out just yet were ordered in Genesis 1:28

>And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

So Adam with Eve still inside, "them", were ordered to be fruitful and multiply. Which must not have been impossible as God ordered them to do so in the day Adam/them were created. This is quite similar to God Himself as God can create/birth spirits as stated in Hebrews 12:9

>Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

and of course check 1 corinthians 15:38,44. Well God doesn't need a wife to be fruitful as He is complete and can just create as He wants. Same with Adam in the day they were created. Adam was expected to be fruitful and multiply with Eve still inside him as a rib. That is the image of God, being fruitful as a single unit instead of with wife. No one except Adam and God/Jesus Himself were in the image of God like this. Jesus of course as stated in 1 corinthians 12:12

>For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Ephesians 5:22-33

>Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

>For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

>Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

>Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

>That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

>That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

>So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

>For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

>For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

>For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

>This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

>Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

So Christians who are members of the body of Christ are going to marry Christ at the end of the world see Revelation 19:7. So us many members are all marrying Christ and yet are one body. See 1 Corinthians 6:15-17

>Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

>What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

>But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

So is a wife serving her husband. Many wives/Christians may fill as members of the body serving their husband/Christ. But a women/Christians can not serve more then one husband because of Luke 16:13

>No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Ok now that we established what marriage is lets get back to one part of your question.

<How do you bros avoid the sin of masturbation?

You don't seem to quite understand what marriage is just yet, so turn to 1 Corinthians 7:1-5

>NOW concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

>Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

>Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

>The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

>Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

Biblically speaking, since a man/Christ and his/His body/wife/wives would be one body. AND since "It is good for a man not to touch a woman" how do you have sex with your wife Biblically speaking since you must touch her for sex? Marriage! Since marriage makes you one body, in the eyes of God you are touching yourself. And Biblically speaking there is absolutely nothing wrong with touching yourself. To say otherwise would be to put asunder what marriage is, making a man and a wife one body.

Now your other question

<How do you bros avoid the sin of pornography?

There is no word "pornography" in the Bible, KJV specifically. But if you are talking about lust then see the next post.

Now we need to define our words first. Turn to James 1:13-14

>Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

>But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed

Temptation, being drawn of your own lust and enticed, is not sin. Jesus was drawn away of His own lusts and enticed 40 days and 40 nights in Matthew chapter 4 and is without sin. So when is lust or rather temptation a sin? See James 1:15

>Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

When lust "hath conceived" it is sin. What does it mean to "conceived" lust? Well in Romans 7:7

>What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Covetousness is a sin as thou shalt not covet. But lust is not always a sin because of the definition of temptation. When is temptation/lust a sin? When it conceives which is to say when it becomes covetousness. To covet it, to intentionally take action towards a thing not in the faith. Such as eating manna from heaven or quail and you are out of control being obese or coveting the quail over serving God. But to take it one step further the Bible says in 1 corinthians 10:5-6

>But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

>Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

So it was sin to the isrealites to decide to go after these things, even if they didn't obtain them such as the melons, leeks, and so on in Numbers 11:5.

Now most people would ignorantly quote this verse below and then condem Jesus for having been drawn away of his own lusts and enticed looking at a naked women later in the book of John.

Matthew 5:28

>But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

But Jesus would not look upon that women to decide to covet her, to lust after her. So there is absolutely nothing wrong with seeing a beautiful women/man naked. The problem comes in when you decide to take action to go after that beautiful man/women to have sex with them unmarried/unable to marry. Even if you don't have sex its still adultery to you having decided to go after those melons/leeks/garlick like the isrealites did in Numbers 11:5 yet not obtain.

Any more Bible verses to add to these in mention? I am strictly using the Authorized KJV here otherwise what I am quoting gets a even longer explanation as to why it is the way it is. But this answers OP's quesiton.

Also since I mentioned the vauge and undefined term "fornication" let me show you its definition in the Bible, turn to 1 corinthians 10:7-9

>Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

>Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

>Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents

So this list seems almost chronological of the events of the Isrealites in the books of the old testament. Well the "sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play" verse is in Exodus 32:6 where they made the golden calf. The destroyed of serpents is in numbers 21:6. So the fornication must be in between those. It is contained within Numbers 16 & 17: suffice it to say Korah rebelled with 250 people and his/their families in Numbers 16 and was killed by God with an earthquake and fire. They rebelled plain and simple but in chapter 17 a similar number to 1 corinthians 10:8 died total of a plauge sent by God for also rebelling. But they didn't just rebel for the sake of rebelling in numbers 17, they rebelled because of Korah sinning and thereby sinning against all of Isreal in causing them to sin. This is known as fornication, a sin against the body of Christ see Proverbs 8:1-4,13-18,22-36 specially verse 36 as the rest is context to who the speaker is. Also see 1 corinthians 6:18-20. Causing a member to sin is sinning against yourself as you are supposed to be one body, that is fornication. Now whether you accomplish that through tempting in rebelling or causing a member to commit adultry is irrelevent. Romans 14:10-23 is relevant as there is a difference in an offense that causes your brother to stumble in Christ, so sinning against Christ thereby and the being offended at Christ offense of 1 Peter 2:1-8

>WHEREFORE laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

>As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

>If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

>To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

>Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

>Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

>Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

>And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Isaiah 8:14-15

>And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

>And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

No one is as unclean as me, noone from so far, who has such gifts graced upon them? Who dreams of such lights? Who floats through golden, eminating winds? Who can see droplets of his blood floating among them and unto the sky like an offering? And yet who delves so far into the earth to seem and hurry to be amongst the dead in a world which requires life of him, who has been in the depth of the valley and smiled, also? Who has been content there, also? Who is a proven athlete of sin, and one who walks the street the next day with pride in their stride? I am such a person; and I have told myself never again too many times not to ask; when will I cooperate? I, given the greatest of all insights, yet hurts himself into the years, and fails even the smallest penance; how will I serve the one I deserve? How will I get it through my being - no more? How will I turn my back to the path I am on right now where I can not breathe - and back to His? I am scared, bros.

I f*cked up lads.

I am going through hard times (no job, rejection, severe health issue). The urges always become unbearable when I'm at my weakest. The devil is smart enough to know it, and always attacks me during those times. I try to turn myself to God instead but the tiredness always get the better of me. I become too lazy to keep praying, and I end up lusting in thoughts. I also looked at depraved pictures this afternoon, and ended up having an orgasm. I need something that I can do to prevent this, even when I'm very tired, or very stressed out. Now that I think about it, I could've said the rosary, that's easy enough.

I know it will get much easier when my problems are behind me, but there's always gonna be more problems in life, so I must be prepared.

Do you guys have something that you do when you're at your lowest, to avoid sinning? Anyone with similar experience?

Look up stories of ex-pornstars. Or not even just that: Look up stories of drama and tragedy in the porn world (one antiporn advocate group is "Fight the New Drug". I posted some vids from them above awhile back. https://fightthenewdrug.org/). You can look up industry insiders. Like this guy "Mike South" who runs a blog of porn industry news (but beware, he often has porn images in his ads and articles). Learning about the humans (not sex objects) involved in all of this will make you "limp" pretty quick… if you have any empathy at least (and I assume you do).

I was going to make a new thread but I have this problem with hookers, I got exposed to this world when I was in the military. I lost my virginity to a hooker and I've had sex with countless hookers since then, I was raised christian but I spent most of my time alone and with no female contact whatsoever. On top of seeking the company of prostitutes, I also fell into alcoholism and drug abuse, I was in a relationship with a born again girl that quickly fell apart when we started getting stoned and having sex. I have a hard time connecting with people outside of the friends I made in the military. How do I end the devils hold over me like this? I want to be whole as a single Christian man, I cannot be in a relationship with a good christian woman while I live with this sin like this.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The devil is tricky. He knows our weak points better than ourselves.

It's no secret that loneliness and despair can be used to tempt humans into empty fillers of the flesh. You hold the power of change by truly allowing Christ into your being through your actions and thoughts.

What I did whenever I feel the urge to relapse into substance use, I like to clutch my prayer tags and try to notice every blessing God has given me through my senses. The bird's chirp; the tree's sway in the breeze; even something as simple as the smell of good coffee in the morning before church are everyday blessings.

Notice and appreciate the blessings - then you'll be more likely to share them, and others with you.

You could also try to pick up a creative hobby. God gave you the ability of creation in art and labour to express sorrow in a way that allows growth and connection with the divine, and fellow man.

We're in a similar struggle anon. I'll pray for your strength. You aren't alone.

The Jesus prayer helps in times of immediate need. It is the sword and shield of the believer; use it.

Long-term, I think it helps to understand that our desires are not bad The desire for a woman is the natural inclination of man. God gave us this desire as a blessing. The problem comes when the desire becomes our master, rather than our tool. Meditate (in times of calm, when you're unoppressed) on true beauty. The God-glorifying beauty of femininity, of marriage, of the Theotokos and her obedience to the will of God.

Nature abhors a vacuum. If you cut out a bad habit but don't replace it with a good habit then you're toiling as did Sisyphus. Build a habit of prayer. Pray that God renews your mind to see the holiness of beauty, and the beauty of holiness. And of course, go to confession. This is hard right now due to a certain virus but don't let it be an excuse when church doors open up again.

You are in my prayers, brother. We fight this fight together. Blessings.

When I see His face in icons or by name, I want to burn in a fire. Twice now in the past two days and not in a "nice" way, no… I've developed two seperate nervous tics over the last few months, lasting one week at most and I've still not been baptized.

It's really getting heavy to breathe, figuratively speaking. The fruit tastes less sweet, the periods of introspection and calm shorter. I want to get rid of this horrible person I carry as soon as possible, and wake up one day anew, finally having something of a right to the things in life again. I've only this to look forward to.

I literally made a vow to God that I would NEVER watch porn again. Specifically, I could not (purposely) visit porn sites, red boards, or google/YouTube anything pornographic (nudity, kissing, etc.) It’s been 5 months and I’ve upheld the vow. There are still exceptions. For example, I can still run across erotic images or webms on certain boards. But still, I’ve cut a lot of it out. I later made a vow to not search for erotic literature either.

As for masturbation, I haven’t used any vows for it. However, I did make a rule just recently that if I masturbated, then I could not visit 4chan within the next 7 days. In the future I plan to make similar vows, though I can’t really think of any specific activities that I indulge in to abstain from as a punishment. Maybe cut out all mindless browsing or watching videos that are for entertainment only.

First you have to be aware of the desire before it grows into a wildfire, it's much easier to put out a spark than an inferno.

Second remind yourself of the times you masturbated, it's literally a 10second dopamine rush that's over before you know it. Then you go back to normal and forget about it completely….what's the point?

Third act as if you just masturbated, you got the 10second rush, it's over. Now what are you gonna do? Read a book, do some work, cook, exercise? Go do what you would do after jerking off….act as if you just masturbated.

This makes no sense lol but it works for me. Yesterday I felt the urge and I immediately told myself "ok I just masturbated, it's over, done, now what???" I just stood up, said a short prayer and started cleaning my house.

As for porn, that's different, you have to go cold turkey and watch your gaze very carefully. Avoid any lewdness as much as possible, even swimsuit type pictures…

> So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

> Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

> Treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

> But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.

> For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

> Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,

> For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.

> But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

My journey with impurity has a long track record like many of you. I used to be the dude who'd edge for hours to the most depraved loli rape porn I could find. Also got into traps, beastiality, and cuck stuff. That being said I'm now over 8 months without beating off and living so much of a better life because of it. I've found a girlfriend who is total wife material and a career ahead of me and my life started actually taking shape once I eliminated this impurity.

This begs the question of how did I do it? I think it comes to the mental battle and the physical battle. For the physical aspect I merely cut out any and all stimulating material. This obviously meant no more porn, but also no questionably young chicks gyrating on tiktok, not looking at stories involving sexual themes, and even striving to avoid potentially stimulating conversations with women. Frankly what I tended to do was go to every Church thing I could during afternoons to fill my nights. I knew if I was busy for most of the week I'd only have to go it alone one or two days of the week.

Then the next part is truly accepting what impurity is: an addiction. You could try sex addicts anonymous, but I cannot endorse it as it wasn't my thing. But importantly you need to realize that beating off and pornography is an addiction. Addictions are things that stem back to your childhood: good homes don't produce addicts. I for instance started remembering a lot of rather inappropriate repressed memories with neighborhood kids or whatever growing up that prematurely exposed me to sexuality. Either way knowing that this is an addiction all we can do is take it day by day. I could go at least one day without beating off, and so can you. If you can merely go one single day without beating off then you can go today without beating off. Every day is today so do not worry about yesterday or tomorrow, for it is said to let tomorrow worry about itself(Matt 6:34).

The next aspect is the mental battle one has with this. It is to take the reigns of your brain and to steer it away from impure things. The big thought I had early on was to make myself okay with knowing I will never masturbate again. In some respects I was kind of bummed that I might never get to feel those feelings again. As time went on this feeling waned and even now I find myself gaining a new kind of habits to consciously not look at well-endowed chicks who are jogging on the side of the road or when some chick bends over. A year ago I could have never even imagined this.

Truly I tell you this walk is hard. Get connected with people in your church, I did this with merely God and me alone. Don't try and do this by yourself, for it was a miracle I was able to crawl out of that pit with no brothers in Christ to help pull me out.

Masturbation falls under the category of "sexual immorality". It is always possible, whatever words the Scripture uses, for anyone to find some Talmudic hair-splitting explanation based on arguing that any particular rule doesn't cover some particular case. (E.g. "Show me where it says 'Thou shalt not lie with robots'" or just look up any justification of homosexuality.)

Now, self-defilement with a picture of your lover (why not spouse? this is already sounding suspect) is almost word for word the same thing as what Onan got smited for when he used his brother's widow for pleasure without children. That ought to be enough for us.

The way of Christianity is the way of the Cross. We are to pick it up and bear it. We are to renounce the things of the world and the flesh. Yes, married life is a positive good. But we cannot live as slaves of our passions. We must fast. (Yes, we really must. Mt. 9:15.) We're all sinners here. Let's try to change that by the Grace of God.

And do please read the Church Fathers instead of insisting on sola scriptura. I too was raised Protestant but it makes no sense to dismiss them. These are not "traditions of men" (cough*Talmud*cough) reinterpreting Scripture to get around having to obey (Mt 15:2-6) but the writings of those who compiled the scriptures, those who knew the apostles in person, those who laid down their lives for Christ in the arena. (2 Thess 2:15, Jn 21:25, 1 Cor 11:2) To dismiss their interpretations is, besides the above, a violation of 2 Pet 1:20.

I can't speak much on your reference to Onan but I will mark that in my notes when I come to that in my studies.

But I've always felt that there wasn't a spiritual cleanliness I felt after masturbating. Even though I've largely eliminated porn from my life and gain my sexual pleasure from natural sources (my gf; future fiance), I still can feel the guilt after the quick dirty hit of dopamine. Now wether or not that guilt is the result of the Holy Spirit talking to me, or it could be the religious guilt instilled at such an early age. Anyway I will make a note of this idea, thanks.

When I read this, it sounds awfully similar, word for word, the teaching of Buddha. When I was studying under Buddhism. In fact, most spiritual traditions emphasize the dangers of sensual pleasure. Fleeting but just as quick to destroy one's spiritual strength. Except the buddhist idea was very light, some would say empty, of dogmatic authority.

> The way of Christianity is the way of the Cross. We are to pick it up and bear it. We are to renounce the things of the world and the flesh. Yes, married life is a positive good. Again, I can't speak for what I don't know. SO I will mark these verses down with your notes.

But I do know the Scripture is the final authority, and not the drastic reinterpretations and sometimes blatantly adding on to the Word of God.

I believe the farther we get away from the Source, the more the truth or the message is distorted or loss. Heck, we have social media, where knowledge is digitalized and concrete and thing still get spun or fragmented as it passes through other minds. Now imagine a tradition that largely came about from oral transmission… you see what I mean.

If you wanna get real technical and literal, no, there's nothing in the Bible that says masturbation, or even pornography for that matter, is a sin. However, if you took at the passages that speak of sexual deviancy, it's clear that God doesn't approve of sexual acts that don't allow for procreation. Furthermore, we're told to avoid the pleasures of the flesh, and this is obviously one of them.

Honestly, I think the fap/porn plague that's befallen our modern societies has its roots in feminism. Feminism promoted the liberation of women. Women now have the power of divorce and are sexually promiscuous. Because of this, many men don't get married and become literal cumbrains addicted to porn since they either can't get a woman or have no desire to. Thus, there's no way to relieve that sexual pressure that you normally would by babymaking. Just my personal take. I'm not one of those mgtow, woman hating types. I just there's a clear link between all these issues.

one of the worst and most overlooked effects of feminism is that is now virtually impossible for men to marry a young wife. Girls are made to believe they can be like men, and so they go to school, are expected to get a job (an effect of a society that values economic growth over the value of humanity), and in the process they usually have sex with tons of guys before finally “settling down.” It’s disgusting. It seems clear to me that the most feminine, most beautiful, most graceful girls these days are “underage” according to the law. I don’t know how society has been brainwashed into thinking that a teenage girl being married to an older man is one of the worst things on the planet. Then again, this type of relationship has been made difficult since girls aren’t expected to mature as fast as they did throughout most of history, and they’re expected to get an education and all that. Modern society is desperately trying to erase the important differences between the male and the female that God has established. It’s no wonder why the divorce rates are so high, why promiscuity is high, why men aren’t so encouraged to improve themselves for a girl.

I disagree with that image.

When Archbishop Sheen argues that men have to become worthy of a woman that he loves, I believe he is implying that the woman is the one that will determine whether or not the man is worthy of her. I believe this to be a misinterpretation of reality and I believe it to be toxic to the health of a man's masculinity.

To strive to become worthy of a woman in the eyes of that woman i.e. to seek her approval I think is a critical weakness for a man to harbour. When a man is dependent on a woman's approval, he will be willing to compromise on his values for her sake. A man's sense of self-worth should come from his success with his endeavours. It should not come from how well he gets along with his wife.

Ultimately, the great tragedy with the approval-seeking "man" is that his wife, seeing his dependence upon her, will deem him spineless. Rather than harbour feelings of respect for him as the superior she's chosen to submit to, she will instead love him in the same way she might love a pet and that's if she loves him at all. Women have a great ability to detect weakness in a man and they despise it. They lose the ability to feel sincere feelings of sexual attraction towards a man once he is deemed weak. Once this occurs, she will be vulnerable to feeling desire for other men she deems to be more masculine. In marriages between atheists, this is typically when the wife will request to "open" the relationship.

I believe what was happening is not that the man was seeking the woman's approval but rather, the approval of the woman's father. It was the father who would act as the gatekeeper to the woman. He would ultimately determine whether or not the man could be a good husband to his daughter and a good father to her children. Adding on to this, a man's primary concern should not be that of his value by women but rather his own standing in the male social hierarchy since this is what will ultimately determine the quality of his life, his opportunities and room for upwards mobility and even the quality of women that are accessible to him.

If one observes the phrasing of Venerable Archbishop Sheen's words, I believe it's possible that Ven. Archbishop Sheen was aware of this reality and was merely commenting on the fact that men had to prove themselves in order to obtain a good woman as part of his overall argument that women could be seen as indicators of a society's health. My concern arises from the fact that Ven. Archbishop Sheen makes no mention of the woman's father and so it seems as though, in the eyes of this Archbishop, that the man is in submission to the woman herself. This is something I felt could not be left unaddressed.

I feel that that the imagery in your version of the image is more sexually enticing. I do not think it's necessary to expose people to this sexually enticing imagery when the original makes the same point with similar effectiveness and no lewdness. Even if the women in the original are not behaving in an explicitly sexual manner, I believe one would still view them as crass and to be people who most likely engage in promiscuous activities. Their dress and behaviour communicates this without exposing the viewer to any lewdness. Since your version unnecessarily exposes the viewer to lewdness, I believe it should not be used.

I think I'm a bit of an odd case.

I think that, due to childhood neglect, I developed an issue called "maladaptive daydreaming" which basically means that I'm obsessed with daydreaming. It has been so severe in the past, it has actually interfered with my ability to get work done on time. The reason I bring this up is because I want to say that when I feel lustful, I typically engage in sexual daydreaming.

What this means is that on one hand, it's easy for me to avoid pursuing pornography and masturbation since the desire for these things is naturally never intense enough for me to pursue them however this is most likely because I release my lustful desires, when they arise, through sexual daydreaming/fantasising. I used to believe my ability to disregard porn and masturbation was due to me having low-testosterone but, while that is possibly true (I'm 300lbs), it's also true that I'm relieving myself through my daydreaming.

Typing all of this up has given me a new insight. I believe it's possible that one could argue that I too am addicted to pornography, it's just that I mentally generate my own pornography.

Based off of the saying that one should not "bite off more than they can chew", my plan is to tackle my prideful daydreaming rather than my lustful daydreaming. My hope is that by tackling my habit of prideful daydreaming, my habit of sexual daydreaming will be easier to tackle. My attack on my habit of prideful daydreaming consists of praying the Litany of Humility every day and perhaps making use of the rosary. I can only hope I'm able to resolve all of this before it's time for me to be judged.

The Bible is clear on what’s a serious sin for a Christian. Every Christian must physically abstain from Fornication, idolatry, and murder. What you do in your mind is not a sin. It’s the very definition of being imperfect. God helps every Christian to perfectly stay away from doing these three things. When we watch a violent film full of murder we are not committing murder, we are imagining it. When we watch porn or masturbate we are not fornicating, we are imagining it, when we watch superhero movies and see someone possessed with demonic superpowers, we are not engaged in idolatry, we are imagining it. The Bible is very clear on what’s a sin, it’s what you do not what you do in your mind. The very definition of being imperfect is sining in your mind. Masturbation is not touched on in the Bible, not even once. That’s your proof that it’s not a sin. The Bible clearly outlines what’s a sin. It has no problem telling you what your not allowed to do. Although masturbation is a physical activity it’s not considered fornication. Fornication requires two people minimum. If you masturbate somebody else it’s fornication, that’s a sexual act involving two individuals minimum.

Pornography is the stimulation of the mind and does not count as a serious sin. Watching two people sin in a video or pic is not sinning. It’s sinning in your mind, which we all do in some form or another, and will never stop doing until perfection is given to us by God.

The Bible says that Gods laws are not burdensome. They can be followed. As someone who struggles with both these things for many years I can tell you I’ve never fornicated once. God has given all men and women sexual desire, he has also given us three clear laws through the Holy Spirit. He never once wrote about masturbation in the Bible. If it was that serious, it would be in there. Having sex with yourself is not sex.

When Christ was given a trick question by a group of ‘holier then thou’ Pharisees he said something to the tune of “anyone looking at another with desire who is not his spouse has already sinned in his mind” he was trying to highlight the fact in public that these Pharisees are not perfect, in front of everyone to humiliate them. He was basically saying “listen, we all know you guys jerk off. That makes you guys imperfect, stop telling people your perfect. You are not perfect!” This one account has been used to lead people astray and make them feel hopeless. It is impossible to go your entire life without jerking off. But not impossible to go your entire life without fornication, idolatry, and murder. In fact it is quite easy for a Christian to stay away from those three things, because Gods laws are not burdensome. Jesus’ words require context and understanding of the type of people he was talking to.

If you keep all that sexual desire pent up it often leads to worse sexual desires, you might find yourself attracted to things a Christian should never be attracted to, homosexual desires are just one example.

This happens because as you go no fap the body stores an insane amount of spiritual power and this power attracts demons and with the combination of guilt they get a foothold on your mind. It also makes it very hard to not actually commit real fornication when the devil temps you with some whore that’s shakes her tail at you. It serves to weaken your defenses. God never told us to not touch ourselves. How do you guys clean your junk properly a week into it when just taking a proper shower can cause you to be in serious sin. You’ve never been sinning, stop adding to Gods laws.

Granted I’m not proud of my porn habit. But God knew when he inspired the Bible the situations of the last days. He said that if his people do not speak the truth the stones will speak the truth. All stones consist of silicone, carbon, and metals. The computer chip is made of silicone, carbon, and metal. God gave us the phones in our hands and computers to educated each other (modern day miracle). He knew the temptations we’d be in. He would have clearly said something. This idea that masturbation is a sin was created by unholy men who wanted their church goers to be pent up with sexual desire so they can be easier to defile. It’s nowhere in the Bible.

I hope you can all see the truth and stop hating yourselves and believing that God hates you for having urges. He put those urges in you, stop making it warped. Go to God in prayer in the name of Jesus like you always do, only this time tell him your ready to hear the truth no matter what it is. It might shock you so keep at it. You’ll find peace.

All that being said, I’m not proud of the habit. But this is what imperfection is. Keep it as clean as you can in your mind.

If you murder in your mind let it be for justice. If you have sex in your mind let it be with someone you don’t know personally.

If your possessed with supernatural powers in your mind let it be God’s power working for good.

Ever notice how a porn vid can be just two strangers having sex, later that same vid comes out with the title ‘father winnie the poohs daughter’. They’re not related. But the title speaks to a deeper mental sinner. Try your best to not be that sinner. But still don’t hate yourself if you are. It’s all in your mind. It has no bearing in the third dimension. And no one is allowed to judge you for what you do in your mind. GOD is allowed to, but he refuses to.

Brother… I was in the same position as you last year, seemingly unable to make any improvements in my badness. Through the reason He gave us I started to really analyze my thoughts and behavior, trying to figure out what triggered my temptations. I now see that there are so many weak spots in my virtue that I cannot will myself to quit without repairing these holes in the road while on my way to redemption. Every time before I mess up I’m lazy, bored, careless, gluttonous, feeling incompetent, building up ‘little’ sins all day. Over a long time I took notice of these weaknesses and now I’m learning how to avoid them by experience. Your mind is constantly being stimulated with destructive imagery and symbols it feels absolutely hopeless sometimes. At that moment of emptiness is when I succumb to evil… you must remain on alert for those periods of dark spots, which will come, and realize when you’re slipping before turning into that other part of yourself you hate so much before it’s too late. In preparation I try to say three basic morning, afternoon, and evening prayers and read some of the gospels/psalms. I started playing guitar which has also helped tremendously, if you don’t have some type of hobby that relaxes the left side of your brain, get one. From being mindful and aware I was able to go from masturbating daily to about 5 times a month, which isn’t great but is still a significant improvement I think. You obviously know this is tough to beat, so don’t torture yourself when you fail, it’ll only make it worse and you’ll become despondent. I always thank God for another day I beat this sewer addiction and for blessing me with the strength to overcome sensuality by mortification. Allow your buds to grow. And remember, God tests us to give us strength and will bless you when you trust in Christ!

God has written the law on everyone’s hearts. Isn’t one of the most shameful things you can experience is someone discovering your porn habit, or catching you masturbating? Also, simply imagine that God himself is watching you do these acts. Do you not feel shame? That is how you know you shouldn’t be doing it. You know it’s bad for you, cut it out.

What are you going to do when you get a wife? Don’t you know that porn and masturbation will harm your relationship? If you were to watch porn, then that would be adultery.

To 55084a: God’s not a pervert. He’s given us shame because there are things to be ashamed of. He already knows everything about us. And why should I be ashamed of Him. Shame is for men not God. We have shame so that we can keep things private from men. God built every atom in us. He produces the semen and the orgasm. You think our thoughts alone are not something to be ashamed of? What about the insults we give each other and the crafty ways we attack each other? You think God doesn’t see our true intentions? There are an infinite amount of things to be ashamed of before God. You’ve simply been obsessed with this one. All are naked before God. I don’t masturbate in front of people. I don’t squat in front of them as well. Going to the bathroom is not a sin, but of course I’de be ashamed to in a crowd. Even in front of one person. What your ashamed of is your imperfection. Be ashamed of wickedness instead. By the same logic couples have to be ashamed every time they have sex, a husband every time he gets a new idea in bed. Where do you think those ideas come from? God is a sensual God, he teaches us how to be as well. It’s part of being a Man. And Women are far more kinky. Your logic is not sound. I hope you can find healing. I’ll pray for you. I’ll pray for all of you. What you just said makes me filled with so much sorrow for everyone in this forum. Where are the Shepard’s? Father, how did your children become so lost? Make it a goal to not fap, but start small and eventually work your way up. Ie: I won't fap for a 7 days. Write your goal down. Reward yourself for said goal, like a steak dinner or something.

Make it a habit: Every day you don't fap, mark it down, like with the nofap calendar.

Further proof that the Bible’s manipulated by man and you’re absolutely gonna need the Holy Spirit to guide you through your spiritual maturity and journey.

Acts {15:28} For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; {15:29} That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

How many of you eat fast food? How much of the food you’ve ate in restaurant where strangled? Do you always watch your meat prepared in front of you? When you go to the market do you ask if your meats were strangled? Do Christians have their own version of kosher? Do you fully obstain from blood? How many of you have been breast fed? Are you not aware that breast milk contains a small about of the mother’s blood? Probably cows milk too, and all meats you cook as well? Do you not jump in excitement when a waitress brings you that thick steak you ordered? are you gonna let your loved ones die by not giving them a blood transfusion if ever that trial comes to your door (may God keep us all away from such calamity)? Are you gonna avoid the videos online of how all our foods are prepared in these industrial slaughterhouses? Are you gonna keep trying to follow every letter of law like the Pharisees, unsuccessfully, yet demand from your fellow man success?

It seems to me that I’ve given enough examples for a rational person to conclude that we have done many sins against God unknowingly. If you believe the Bible’s not tampered with then continue trying to lift the impossibly large stumbling stone set before you that your own priests refuse to even touch with a finger. Anyone trying to lift it will be scarred. How do you think your priests became twisted child molesters? They were just like you once. This burden your trying to carry turned them into the criminals they are today. How long will you say the Bible’s not tampered with? More importantly, how long will you say the word of God is written in our hearts and refuse to use that heart through the Holy Spirit? Pick one. Read the Bible with prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit and follow what your heart says. Or read the Bible and beat yourselves up to no end and hate God for his impossible rules. I though he was love? I thought his laws were not burdensome? We are all failures if the Bible’s not manipulated. Go! Run around in circles!

Mainly old king James but I also have the old new world translation and the one I use the leased is a 100 plus year old Bible called the pictorial Bible. I use the one hundred plus year old one for its references as well but it has more manipulations like removing the word grain and replacing it with corn. I believe this was done at a time where America was in an agricultural boom involving corn. But unfortunately, and I didn’t want to accept this but after these three days, I now think the old new world translation just might be the most accurate. And I hate saying that because I was in the JW cult once. But I never stick to one translation. It doesn’t matter now for me because the Holy Spirit voice is too loud for me to ignore.

Use a porn-filtering dns and install porn filtering ad-ons. Pray without ceasing, have at least one long daily devotional prayer, fast, scriptures, technology curfew, read more books, be in bed on time and don't stay up late. Religious items on display throughout the home can be beneficial -as when committing this sin, one will often try to block the thought of God out. Of course, unfollow all thots and on mixed platforms either switch adult content off if there is a setting or decide between giving the platform up entirely or trusting yourself to not go where you shouldn't. If having an accountablility partner works for you do it. And NEVER resolve to thinking you'll just plan out your sins then figuring you'll just ask for forgiveness after your act of treachery. Meditate on the epistle of Jude to see what I mean.

I resolve firmly to stop for at least a week, then when that week is over reward myself in such a manner with Biblical reading and films and the most beautiful chants I know, and I'd do good deeds then, etc, so that I'll make it further yet. Two days it takes for me to shed that damned veil, that mental fog, that malaise that we all know when we shove aside all reason and just give in to the senses. What senses… I don't need them. I'd get rid of them, this is more important.

But you know what I'm talking about. After a while everything becomes so clear, the proverbial fruit becomes sweet again. Things that clouded my demonic mind earlier with impure thoughts go by - judgements improves, everything. Feel like I can breathe for the first time in too long.

Then, relapse, and, nothing. I feel like I'm all matter, I feel like a mildly dissapointed ape. I sit here struggling but feel nothing. I just feel nothing. I just can't feel anything anymore, and now know I won't for the next however long it is days. I hate it, I can't feel my self, I can't identify myself, I can't feel my life. Is it this easy? It shouldn't be. Damn it, man, damn it.

I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?

He was married, he got sick and I doubt his wife was sleeping with him with all those puss-filled sores. He still had urges. He was the most holy of all on earth at the moment. He was expressing his inner relationship with God and the personal decisions he made with God. He had his imperfections too. We all are allowed to give God whatever luxuries we feel we can give him. I’m not telling people to just jerk off and watch porn to their heart’s content. On the contrary, all must strive to give God whatever luxuries they can and not hate themselves if they can’t. God demands Spiritual necessities, from every Christian (No fornication, no idolatry, no murder). You can give him whatever luxuries you wish. But beating yourself up by demanding more from yourself than God is willing to give each Christian power over is demanding from God perfection. You all are going ahead of yourselves. There are many that have conquered this problem, they are simply not here, and they conquered it after marriage. Some still struggle with masturbation after marriage but they think about their spouses during it, is that wrong too? No, it’s not (just in case that has to be said too). Everyone here has been dealing with this problem for years and is not succeeding. Many Christians never did until they got married and were given the tools of life to fix this problem, Job said what he said after his wife stopped going to bed with him. You can demand all you like from God but like I said in one other post this is just the one imperfection you are all obsessed with. In Gods eyes there are many imperfections that are equally bad. Again much of our food is strangled. And many of you will give your loved ones a blood transfusion when they need it. You are all being technical so if you are gonna be technical then be technical in all the laws and become Pharisees. Your priest and pastors are evil for not clarifying this for you. You are all demanding from God the removal of these thorns, and if you need to have this thorn to humble you then Gods gonna leave it in your side. The problem with most of you seems to be a haughtiness. I’m glad you mentioned Job. Because it shows that even the most spiritual man over all the surface of the earth at the time had this problem the moment he lost the ability to sleep with his wife, and all he said was he’s not gonna look attentively at a virgin, he didn’t say he’s not gonna jerk off to his wife. He was so spiritual that he was caught between God and satan. If he had this problem so will millions today. You all speak the language of the Pharisees. Ultimately it’s your spiritual leaders that will get the brunt of Gods wrath for causing you so much pain.

Let me tell you about a young man I know.

There is a young man in a kingdom hall out there somewhere who is a homosexual. Him and another gay he grew up with masturbated each other when they were younger. He repented the other young man left his hall and is now one of the gayest of the gays I have ever seen. The one that repented somehow moved to a Kingdom Hall with a closet gay elder(priest) in the elder group. Every time he touches himself he confesses to the closet gay priest the details of his masturbation. They have surprisingly found a way to sext each other under the guise of confession.

I really hope some of you are not in similar situations.

I’m not trying to sway anyone. In fact I’m tired of being here and truly don’t care about any of you. I’m not indifferent to your pain, but if tragedy befell any of you I would still be able to go on with my day and enjoy it. Not that I won’t pray for you, but you are strangers to me and I to you.

It is God that demands I be here. And I can’t disobey. I am here because He sent me. Very much like Jonah I don’t care for the people I am to warn. I care about not disobeying God in this particular matter. He told me ‘Here is the light you begged for in your depression, I will judge you for not placing it on a high place’. I am ultimately here for myself, for selfish reasons. It is God who can’t take your pain much longer. He wants me to show my gratitude by helping him carry the load. As an introvert, and one who is deeply disappointed in the body of Christ, I can’t possibly care about any of you. Although my heart goes out to the suicidal ones among you, and I know if I knew them personally I would weep for them. Again, I talk to God in my isolation, and he loves each and every one of you. I’m tired of him talking about all of you when we are together, frankly I’m a little jealous when he does it.

I'm doing well, I'm on Day 10. Thank you brother.

Last night I did saw my GF naked. But that's natural and not pornographic.

We didn't do anything and I retained my seed.

Let me tell you the first benefit I notice is a cleaner brighter skin. Mentally, not much, the temptation and the sexual thoughts are weaker but now they just pop up randomly.

I still get thoughts of sexually ravaging a woman I see wearing anything remotely lewd, but I never let it go far, I cut it as soon I see it.

My goal is 6 months of retention and no porn. Until I marry my wife I will refrain from forrnication.

Good luck to all of you. Remain strong in faith and walk in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Personally, I think one of the great benefits to learning Japanese would be the ability to post on more popular textboards. No images and due to their popularity, plenty of discussion about all sorts of topics.

For the time being, I must admit that English-speaking textboards are hard to find. I found one for programming that I think may be of use to me some day as I intend to take programming seriously at some point and I found this site:

To all on this forum, not just the orthodox.

Cmon. It’s like you haven’t ever even tried to go no fap. I use to be there. At some point something triggers it and it’s always random. Haven’t you realized this by now. The urges pop out of the most unforeseen places. You can’t live that way. Everyone that does becomes so odd that they abandon humanity and fear even stepping out of the house. In every job people do. In construction everyone’s talking about sex. In farming all the animals are mating. One can’t draw a picture or enjoy nature when they are trying to abstain from masurbation. There is nothing that you can successfully do to perfectly abstain from this. There are only things you can do to abstain for a short while. I don’t think anyone who says they are free from this imperfection is being honest. I have met no such person. God wants us to be ready to help people, you can’t expose yourself to people without having this problem. This notion that God requires something that I’ve never met a single person that can do is cruel. It is the height of Christian arrogance to suggest God’s laws are this burdensome. These scriptures many of you bring up are all taken out of context and your so brainwashed with different scriptures of the Bible out of context that all you see is proof that your right but clearly God is not that cruel. Has God abandoned those on earth? Is he so cruel that so few are able to meet his standards. If you could believe something is possible that no one you’ve ever met can prove to you they do, then how do you know it’s possible? Perfection can not be achieved in our imperfect bodies. The spirit is strong but the body is weak. Paul said he pummels his body and leads it down a path of righteousness (how do you know he wasn’t saying he masturbates in order to not commit fornication). Did he actually beat and bruise his body? Is self abuse required now by every Christian? You are making no sense. You do not know God personally. Did Jesus waste so much precious blood to only save such a ridiculously few amount of people? Again, no one I’ve ever met in my entire existence has been able to not masturbate. How do you know success in this problem? Do you consider it success to abstain for 1 year? 5 years? 10 years? No! You consider it a success if your able to do it till death. Anyone saying they conquered this problem is a liar. Since conquering it requires you to keep it till death. Anyone on this forum that says they have succeeded is counting their chicks before they hatch. The man that is abstaining completely from this problem is void of all civilization and useless to God in bringing people to him. You can’t be God’s soldier and not expose yourself to danger. Your tribulations are in your mind. It’s very selfish and evil to be alive and tell people you succeeded in abstaining from this imperfection. You all are lying. Millions of Christians listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit inside telling them that mastication is imperfection not fornication and they are simply not here. They humbled themselves and listened. Those who don’t will only be afflicted more by God himself till they accept that they are not, and can not, be perfect. You seek perfection and no one alive has ever been granted it, not even the apostles. No one ever, only Jesus was perfect. We are to strive to be like Jesus, that doesn’t mean it’s possible for man to be perfect.

You pain the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You are Holding your mental health and spirituality hostage, demanding from God perfection. Or what? What more will you do to yourself if God refuses to give you perfection?

Everyman I’ve ever known to use this tactic has not had the Holy Spirit in him. Every man. You just told me more about yourself than you can ever possibly understand. Thank you.

I’ve already discussed one of these scriptures and what it really means in this forum. Also, Picking up your cross means many things, it doesn’t mean ‘pick up the impossibly heavy stone’ of the Pharisees. You are very arrogant. I’m amazed that you used such a tactic. Take your time to understand what sinning in ‘the heart’ really means and how it differs from actual sin. Go up a few posts and read everything I’ve said then try to debunk what I’m saying. You poor soul, you are your worst enemy. Who can save you from you? Who can help you?

There's already great benefit in retaining your seed and not masturbating to artifical pleasures, WITHOUT the spiritual component.

You see things the way you trained yourself to see them. There are no physical benefits from Retaining seed for a prolonged period of time? It’s endlessly resupplied. The goals in this forum are not about the Benefits of seed retention. They are about release being a mortal sin. You are completely ignoring the weirdos people become when they fully go no fap. The way they can’t hold conversations with people. The way they can’t relate to their fellow man. The way they developed even worse fantasies. The way they can’t even look at anyone of the opposite sex without thinking about sex. Seed retention is good for very few things, but it’s not a healthy lifestyle when you consider the mentally debilitating state many who treat masturbation as a sin find themselves in. you look at one benefit and lie to yourselves about the several harms that it leads to. You lie to yourselves, worse, you tell others that it’s possible when you can’t fully abstain from it yourselves till your deaths. No fap for a week would help those who don’t seem to eject enough sperm to conceive a child. But a prolonged lifestyle of no fap creates mentally ill people. You just decide to see the stats you want to see. If you look at the whole picture it’s obvious it’s a dangerous lifestyle. The Bible doesn’t support such nonsense, it has been weaponized by many denominations to create a youth easily susceptible to real fornication and defilement both of the mind and body, spiritual defilement follows soon after. The truth is the opposite of what you’ve been taught. This lie of masturbation being a sin, It’s created priests who are both homosexuals and pedophiles. Priests who at a drop of a hat get a rush of sexual urges and defile even the young men around them who are equally as sexually frustrated and succumb to the opportunity. All healthy men and women masturbate. All who run from their urges get overcome by them. The stats are there you just pick and choose what you want to believe. None of you have succeeded in no fap. And how stupid you must be to think masturbating feels just as good as sex. Sex is on a different level entirely when mapping how much pleasure it gives. It is nowhere near masturbation. Many on this forum have never had sex, those who do quickly realize masturbation is nothing when it comes to pleasure. How many of you have actually had sex? And how many of you are spiritual leaders just trying to keep your youth weak to your advances, I wonder? How many priests, while in confession, touch themselves while listening to your confessions? How many go for a “bathroom break” after? This lifestyle of yours creates perverts. And a constant stream of victims of abuse, many without knowing. Don’t you ever wonder why your priests ask for details? Do you honestly think are Holy when asking such details? Maybe you already know. Maybe confession is your porn.

Your questions are getting more and more difficult to understand. They are proof you haven’t read the things I’ve said carefully. Why bother with “factual evidence” created by a world that doesn’t believe in God. The Bible is enough and you haven’t used it properly. The Bible says nothing about masturbation and the scriptures you’ve used are taken out of context while not full understood by you as well. That’s what’s causing the confusion. The simplest I can make it from here is this. Someone has handed you the “impossibly heavy stone set by the Pharisees” and convinced you it’s “the cross you must bear”. The definition of lust in your mind is false. The Bible has been manipulated and many translations of the same word used in different places. Lust is when you have absolutely no power of abstaining from whores, real fornication. Not having absolutely no power of abstaining from your imperfect urges that lead to masturbation. There is a language barrier between us. You’ve seemed to have mixed the words lust, passion, urges all into one. It’s at times like these you need to converse with God through the Holy Spirit. I can’t make things much simpler.

These aren’t demons. When I was surrounded by demons they wanted me dead. They wanted me to remain in a hateful agony against God or die. This Spirit residing in me pulled me back from suicide, it healed my hatred for God and replaced it with more love for Him than I ever had before. It removed evil people from my midst and made my very name something satan does not tolerate in his circles. It led me through my trials and helped me embarrass satan in the midst of his demons to a point that he’s now struggling with contempt toward himself by his own top demonic generals. We all have our successes and failures. If this spirit was from the devil, then all it had to do was keep its mouth shut and it would’ve been the end of me. I know what dwells within me, and I can’t take any credit for a single thing I did right in life nor a single success. None of it was me. This Spirit is my greatest treasure here on earth. Insult it if you wish. There will be no repercussions, because you say that not knowing God personally.

Christian men are basically screwed at this point.

>Masturbating/porn is a sin

>Having sex before marriage is a sin

>Having sex with a non-virgin is a sin (good luck finding any woman who is a virgin)

>Even if you somehow find someone that you believe is a virgin there's no way to really tell since women could easily still have anal sex, oral sex, and give out handjobs and either lie about it or just not count it as sex in their minds

>They could have even had vaginal sex before and claim their broken hymen was from some other physical activity

>Marriage itself is a death trap for men and you have a sword hanging above your head for the rest of your life

Personally I see no way out. For me, I'm tired of all this and short of some huge miracle I will probably end it with suicide one day. This world is trash.

Do you really feel like these people can help you? Have you not understood yet that their advice is empty. Some of the people here give bad advice but with love. Most of them, though, are liars and cold hearted to your pain. You can ignore whatever it is I’ve said. Keep trying to abstain from masturbation and if it’s really that important to God then you should be able to succeed. But, these last few posts are void of all love. Did you not already know what they said to you today? You keep asking for help on the matter so I know you take it seriously and are not here to waste your own time. Ignore everything I’ve said on this board for now and try your best to succeed. But, how is it that you keep failing when you are putting in the effort and seeking advice? This is not something a real sinner struggles with. This is something someone already abstaining from sex with another person struggles with. You have succeeded in not having sex at all with anyone of coarse, why else would you ask for advice on masturbation and pornography? The sin of fornication is not your problem. The state of being imperfect in your mind is your problem. That’s everyone’s problem as well, and the very definition of imperfection. Many here will never admit to it. But, if you still want to abstain from porn and masturbation then I hope someone can come along and give you proper advice, not these empty words.

Keep trying if you feel you must. I only stopped beating myself up about this after I knew I tried everything to stop the habit, maybe you need to get to that point yourself. Don’t think for a second everyone here cares about you, but some of us absolutely do, without a doubt. Even some here I don’t agree with truly care about you. Listen to them first. You can always fall back on my advice when everyone else’s fails first. Again, we all need to strive to give God whatever luxuries we can. But the necessities required to God by all Christians is to abstain from fornication (adultery, homosexuality, etc) in real life, murder in real life, idolotry in real life. If your doing these you don’t need to feel worthless. Be happy you abstain from these things and never do them. Now, whatever God blesses you with success in after these necessary things, thank him for it as well, but don’t beat yourself up over them. We are all imperfect. Most importantly, just pray for forgiveness whenever you fail, we all fail in being perfect every day. We must ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ who spilled blood for our sins. What we do in our minds is still a product of imperfection and we need to be forgiven still, but, it is not The same or as shameful as sinning in real life. God blesses us with success in the important things. He doesn’t bless us with perfection in the mind.

Again, Pray to God and try every last bit of good advice to succeed in what your trying to succeed in. If it all fails then pray to God again so he can show you His view on the matter. Maybe you can abstain from porn at least. Whatever God wants you to succeed in you will succeed in. But know that God doesn’t hate you, you are not even close to being the type of person He hates.

God is not the way you’ve been taught to believe. Don’t commit suicide. Suicide is the outcome of all these lies you’ve been told about Christianity. Read my posts in this thread. Better that then suicide. If your going to beat yourself up about every thing under the category of imperfection and sin you WILL end up committing suicide. God knows this. He never gave people the rules you’ve been taught. Men made those rules. Is it not better to masturbate and watch porn than commit suicide? Before you commit suicide maybe you should be easier on yourself and not assume everything you’ve been taught is true. Read my posts on this thread and pray to The Father for wisdom and understanding and pour out your heart and end it in Jesus’ name. I’m telling you your not a sinner in the sense that many want you to think you are. You are only imperfect, that is completely normal. You should feel happy as long as your not having sex with others, or murdering, or worshipping idols. That is all God wants from you. Everything else is a lie. After your keeping those important laws, everything else you want to do for God is up to you, but God’s not going to hate you for not being able to do more. Your probably already doing more than most people. Why did? Your succeeding in walking a Godly path already (as long as your not having physical premarital sex, physically murdering, physically worshipping idols). Be happy if your doing these things. Be sorry in prayer for not being perfect, but don’t be depressed and hate yourself. We all sin in our minds.

Every single thing you’ve mentioned on this list (except for marriage with a non-virgin being a sin) is a truth I’ve struggled with personally in the depths of my depression. It might be hard to believe but God will get us out of this. It’s in His hands and He’s only let it get this bad for men because there’s a miraculous event on the horizon. Yes our condition is hopeless from the standpoint of men, but God has preserved good gifts for His loved ones that He will give us in due time. The virgins have great gifts headed their way. You don’t need to trust humans. Just trust that God has good women stored up somewhere, and He will vouch for their virginity personally when He presents them to us. Will God lie to us? Of course not! All of these concerns you’ve listed are things God will let the virgin be a victim of, as long as we let Him decide the time we get the gifts waiting for us. Keep away from fornication (real fornication), murder (includes suicide), and idolatry until Christ arrives. None of us know when that will be. Personally I believe it to be anytime from now to two years. If your a virgin then you know virgins exist. God knows their exact locations. God knows who died a virgin in the past and when to resurrect them and who to pair them to. This gift we can’t work for, God will simply drop it in our laps after his final judgment on mankind. It’s not like we can protect such a gift in the current situation the world is in now.

I can’t find anything wrong with your post. Not even the PS part (most of the time my minds all over the place and I can’t shuffle through it to place it all in one post, but I’ll try).

As for the ‘if it’s important to God part’, I said that because my own personal experiences have proven that God makes certain things incredibly easy to abstain from. For instance, I have a porn problem but never do I struggle with fornication ( I’m talking about the actual act of sleeping with someone). It’s very easy for me to stay away from it, I never even have a fraction of a struggle with it. As for porn being a sin, we need to first clarify The types of sins. Yes all imperfection is a sin but the sins we are to absolutely abstain from are different than the ones in our minds. To make things simpler I call the sins in our minds ‘imperfection’, as well as small fights and angry bouts in life. What God considers a sin for a Christian is fornication, murder, idolotry. These things are forbidden for people with the Holy Spirit (True Christians). Overall God’s laws are not supposed to feel burdensome. Staying away from sexual material and masturbation as if they are the same as fornication, idolotry, and murder is actually a very heavy burden. It’s still a sin in God’s eyes, but not one that He judges our salvation on. God knows we are imperfect and doesn’t want us to feel burdened under every small law that shows us we are imperfect sinners. If one feels that God’s laws are burdensome it’s because they are not aware of what is a law for a Christian and what is an inevitable imperfection that your going to always need forgiveness over.

f97467  No.836920

When I listen to all the people on this thread going step by step on what must be done to avoid porn and masturbation I clearly see it’s a heavy burden that they are carrying, not the cross of Christ, but the immovable stone of the Pharisees. Overall everything we do right is not of our own strength but because God has given us the strength to succeed in abstaining from ‘real’ sin. It’s easy for me to stay away from fornication because God has made it easy, it’s not my own doing. I’ve had women practically throw themselves at me, I’ve had women stop there car while I’m out for a walk and told me to get in, it was always easy for me to say no. So easy I can’t credit myself for it. And this at a time where I hated God and heavily watched porn and was high on pot all day. All these factors and still fully abstaining from sex was very easy for me. But fully abstaining from pornography and masturbation remains something I’ve never been able to do. Because God didn’t promise us perfection. He promised us the ability to abstain from ‘sins’ not imperfections. What we have here is people miscatagorizing ‘sins’ and ‘imperfections’. Under mosaic law they are the same thing. But under Christian law they are not. God knows we are imperfect and gave us whatever perfection is necessary for a Christian to not grieve the Holy Spirit. We can never be perfect in all our works. Some people can stay away from porn, but their imperfection is in something else. But all Christians can stay away from fornication, idolotry, and murder. Many here consider fornicating in their minds as actual fornication, this is not so. If this was true then we are all also murderers and idolaters. Because there are many sins we do in our minds, not just fornication. I say this also because of my life experience. Personally my delving into porn did not effect my social life at all for the worst. I never think lustfully of women when I’m around them, I never masturbate to women I come across in real life. This is also something I’m able to avoid very easily. I’ve learned that everything that comes easy to me is easy because God gives me the powers needed to make it easy. I’de have to force myself to break these laws in order to actually do these sins. I’ve never felt any damages from watching porn that many here believe superstitiously. God’s laws for Christians, in my experience, have never been a burden. It’s when priests and organizations start to add their interpretations to Jesus’ teachings that create the feeling of burden. No matter how clean we make ourselves we will burst out in imperfection somewhere. For many that’s masturbation and porn. We never burst out in ‘sin’ (fonication, idolotry, murder). For our imperfections there is forgiveness through Jesus’ sacrifice. We can never work for perfection. If we’ve masturbated even once we have sinned through imperfection. Christ’s blood covers that. But God demands a few laws to never be broken ( 3 laws I mentioned) For the keeping of these three He gives us the full ability. Anything you can give Him other than that is welcomed but unnecessary, because no matter how much we stay away from it we have done it in the past and we are fallen already. You can’t forget doing it once is all it takes. Doesn’t matter that you don’t do it anymore. But when it comes to not doing these three things in real life, it can be done perfectly. Once someone accepts Christ as their savior, he now has the power to abstain from those three things indefinitely, with ease. You’d have to put effort in to actually commit those three things.

Pornography and masturbation can fall upon a person within half an hour without that person knowing it’s coming. No matter how spiritual you are. It’s too easy to fall into such an imperfection or even relapse into it. No matter how much I say this people only hear ‘porn is allowed for a Christian’. It’s as banned as anything else that makes us imperfect. But we do many things in a day that make us sinners in the eye of God. Christ wants us to worry about the three main laws. For everything else He has forgiveness for us when we inevitably act out our imperfection. But because He loves us, He’s made it very easy to keep the important three. Please ask me hypothetical questions to learn more about how I view the matter. If you must.

Those were either gays or cannibals, I think it’s fair to say they were gays. And I love ikea. I miss ikea. All I could do for you is pray bro. I hope for you the best. I totally messed this statement up because of a typo. I meant to say:

*All of these concerns you’ve listed are things God will NOT let the virgin be a victim of, as long as we let Him decide the time we get the gifts waiting for us.*

This must’ve been difficult to hear without that ‘not’. Sorry guys. God is better than my typo made Him sound. For sure He is. I’m glad I saw this.

Every time you're about to jack off or look at porn, don't.

A few things that help:

1. Sublimation. Change the energy into something constructive.

2. Remember that turning away from porn/masturbation is the first step to finding a spouse.

3. By watching porn, you're feeding a demon.

4. Make this image your background.

5. You win every time you resist. Every time you return to the right path from watching porn, you win again.

6. Each time you successfully resist, it gets easier to resist.

I remember a time where all these things you listed were said about masturbation. Then with the wave of porn that hit humanity through the internet people started to say this about porn mainly and give masturbation less of a focus. All throughout this time Christians everywhere kept fornicating before marriage and cheating on their spouses. All this focus on an imperfection that creeps up instantly out of nowhere makes so many Christians loose sight of how possible it is and how important it is to not actually engage in real fornication.

You'de be surprised how many people in your churches have cheated on their spouses and defiled several Christians in the dating process yet attack their youth for having a weakness that isn’t even on the same level as their serious sins.

The Jw’s keep files on all their members and their sins and confessions. When I first caught a glimpse of an open file cabinet with its tabs sticking out I saw one that was titled “adultery”. It was a very thick file. Then it hit me that many of the people their are cheating on their spouses. At the time I though to innocently of the brothers around me. Does your church constantly preach about forgiving your own brothers and sisters? Do they always preach about how God will bless the one who forgives? These are things to be preached every now and then but does your church focus on these things to a point that it’s their ‘cornerstone’ preaching?

>It might be hard to believe but God will get us out of this. It’s in His hands and He’s only let it get this bad for men because there’s a miraculous event on the horizon. Yes our condition is hopeless from the standpoint of men, but God has preserved good gifts for His loved ones that He will give us in due time. The virgins have great gifts headed their way. You don’t need to trust humans. Just trust that God has good women stored up somewhere, and He will vouch for their virginity personally when He presents them to us.

Pretty much none of this is true. Christians regularly starve to death, get stuck with horrid conditions and are tortured and murdered all quite regularly and God is more than willing to just let it happen. For those people there was no big miracle that saved them from it. If God is willing to let a Christian starve despite all their prayers, He is also willing to let men go insane from loneliness and lack of any suitable partner, and kill themselves.

>God knows who died a virgin in the past and when to resurrect them and who to pair them to.

Completely un-Biblical. Read Matthew 22:30.

Your wrong about who’s a Christian and who’s not. God clearly says He will provide for his children (True Christians). The people that these things happen to are not Christians in the eyes of God. Just in the eyes of men. God has always promised to take care of his children and has never failed. We all know many out there are fake Christians. Christians might starve for a day or two as a trial, but they will never go hungry till death. Christians might loose their homes as a trial, but there will always be a place for them to stay, even if it’s in their cars or RVs, and they will always get back on their feet. The righteous fall several times and get back up. The unrighteous fall once and shatter. Yes Christians go through trials, but always survive them. God has never allowed a righteous person to go hungry. And has always provided a roof over a righteous persons head. That is why one must always be in Gods favor by not grieving the Holy Spirit. The Christians that the things you mention have happened to are not Christians in Gods eyes. It’s easy to be a Christian in the eyes of men. God never failed His children, ever.

That's really, really, really bad just-world reasoning. That means that if someone successfully murders you, you weren't really a Christian. By that logic I guess Stephen wasn't a Christian either since God allowed him to get stoned to death. In fact no one who has ever been martyred must have really been Christian.

Mathew 22:30 is one of the most disgustingly misunderstood scriptures in the Bible. What Jesus is trying to say is ‘women will not be given in marriage and men will not need to go through the process of publicly declaring their marriage. They will be like angels in heaven who don’t lie and who’s yes means yes and no mean no’.

In Jesus’ days women were given in marriage, against their will most of the time, after the resurrection no one will be able to ‘give them off’. And for men, the public declaration of marriage would not be necessary because once a man chooses a woman his yes will mean yes and he won’t need a public marriage to keep him in check. After the resurrection people will be able to get married, they will not need to bind themselves with silly traditions created to publicly declare the oath between them. Since they will be perfect, once they unite they will no longer lie about their union and say it never happened. They will be as perfect as the angels in heaven. And women will not be forced to be given to the man they were married to before they died.

You have no context on the matter. I’m surprised you haven’t been offended by the concept of people not having a soul to spend their lives with after resurrection. If you were a clean soul internally, you should’ve been very offended by what you believe today about marriages in heaven. You should’ve been so offended that you read this scripture several times and knew of it’s context. All who accept the surface interpretations of these scriptures you’ve mentioned and don’t fight it are showing the world that they don’t really know God’s love. Do you really think God has better gifts in store for his children other than another soul to enjoy life with? No He doesn’t. There will never be a better gift than another by your side for eternity and a family created with that other. A silly little thing like death has no right to take that from us. If that was the case then death would be something to fear like no other fear. Death would have eternal power if what you believe is the case. satan’s damages to creation would last forever, as well as the memory of satan, if what you believe is true. You must be young.

Death is not a big deal. God has never starved His children to death. And no, no man can murder a Christian without God allowing it. If God allows it He has a good reason. Like He has for Stephen. God fed his prophets through miracles as well. Also God never uses rape as a trial, he’s never once allowed a rape of one of his followers. Every woman in the Bible who’s been raped (3 examples in the OT, zero in the NT) was due to her own foolishness. God is much better than what you’ve been taught to believe.

That’s only normal when speaking of what’s a trial and what’s not. Trials are for surviving. Death through martyrdom is not a trial but a victory. Overall, absolutely nothing happens without God’s permission. He never allows a trial to His Children without his approval (book of Job). If the enemy wants to ‘flip the board game over’ because he’s loosing by killing a child of God, then God will allow it knowing that satan will loose much ground in his battles. By being martyred, a child of God helps God take back much that is in the hands of the devil. Things that would not have been won otherwise. And that martyr will enjoy knowing, once he’s given his rewards by God, that his sacrifice did so much for Father. More than he would’ve ever accomplished by just dying of old age. That’s how fortunate Stephen and other real martyrs are.

I'm aware nothing happens without God's permission. That doesn't mean everything bad that happens to a Christian is God's will or part of a hugely detailed plan, all we know is that God allowed it. Pointless suffering exists, God often lets s— happen because that's just life. Most of the time the world plays out as it plays out, if God was always interfering then reality itself would never even be stable. You won't win the lottery just because you're Christian, you aren't immune to torture, natural disasters, disease, murder, mental illness, insanity or suicide just because you're a Christian. Just because a Christian suffers and dies without it achieving something, that doesn't mean they weren't a "true" Christian. That's winnie the pooh nonsensical.

Everything that happens has a purpose. No matter how insane or sick a Christian gets, if it’s a trial and he conquers it he’ll get out of it, or heal from it. I was once in a very deep depression, everyone though I was done for, I even thought I was done for. There was no possible way to get out. God brought me out of it because I completed the trial without grieving the Holy Spirit.

As for people with disabilities, God knows what we’re headed for and what disability will take us out of a certain situation that will befall us at a certain time that will inevitably destroy our faith. Like He did to me. It’s our own personality that puts us in danger and if there is no way of avoiding that danger then God will give us whatever burden He must to keep us from those dangers. Nothing at all happens without a purpose. Not even the smallest thing. Nothing is random at all. Once you accept this you can start learning how God thinks.

Not a single calamity has fallen on a single nation or person without God allowing it. And because He’s Holy, Just in all His ways, we have no one to blame for anything that happens but ourselves. This seems like it’s easy to say for me but I’ve been in the pit and I was personally shown why God allowed it to happen. Some of it was my fault, some of it was to keep me from the greater dangers I was surrounded by, and some of it was the cross I was meant to bear. Yes, there are things I never got back. Those things I now consider the cross I must bear, and we all have to bear one anyway so I’m in line with the lifestyle Jesus said a Christian will have. I’m not blessed with all the desires of my heart and that’s ok, non of us are. If I didn’t have the trials I have today I’de have different ones. So I don’t complain.

All I wanted to know was that God cares and doesn’t allow a single thing to go over His head. Now I know. I’m out of my depression and I have a line of communication with God that I didn’t have before. That’s more valuable to me than anything that I lost. In fact, I was probably going to loose those things anyway.

That’s how God works, perfectly. Once a Christian can accept he is his own reason for the trials and hardships he goes through he can now know to keep an eye on himself. By doing so a Christian can avoid further calamities.

Ultimately it’s satan that decides who he wants to risk his neck to destroy. It’s God who decides which one of His children can survive satan’s attacks. If we are in good standing with God satan thinks twice. If we show a weekends, and it’s impossible to hide them, satan might ask for God’s permission to attack. God never hands His children over to the devil as a scrap of meat. He allows the devil to mistakenly think he has a shot at destroying a child of God. If we remain faithful we can keep the devil busy and hold him off from attacking much weaker Christians, the devils power is limited, he can only attack so many people at a time. If we are chosen by God to keep a demon busy and strip it of time and victories, then we must consider it a high honor. God would not allow it if it’s impossible for us to win.

I went off on a complete tangent with this post. Any questions you have that will allow me to clarify my views on the matter?

I think it's my worst vice also, let me tell you what I've learned from 3 years of trying to stop, succeeding for some long streaks.

Porn and ejaculation are really two different habits, so separate them in your mind. Porn is the most common, darkest and most insidious temptation I know of. But before you can overcome it, you probably need to stop depleting your mind with ejaculation. Ejaculating 5-10 times weekly will make your mind so dull and drained of energy that you won't be able to think clearly enough to resist the temptation of porn when it strikes you.

Try separating porn watching from ejaculation. If you can reduce to one ejaculation a week, and then one a month, over a few months your mind will fortify and clear enough that you can also see past the temptation of porn. I know how hard it is, uncontrolled lust really debases us into animals, who can't even remember why we should keep self control.

Basically if you watch porn, don't necessarily ejaculate. Make it a game to your animal mind like you're 'training' for self control over ejaculation, to be able to walk away from having sex without cooming. You will be insanely horny and tempted, just try to go a few days without actually cumming to start with. The longer you go, the more your mind will clear and get stronger even if it's still being distracted by porn, beneath the distraction it will be getting clearer. Hope this helps.

Day 29 of No PMO

Two nights ago, after a rejection from a job I applied for, I felt an intense urge to look up the nastiest, dirtiest keywords on redd*t and phub.

I persevered brothers. I came close, but I retained.

In public, I keep my head up and I don't lust for women with big butts. They make it so hard when you're on semen retention, they intentionally want your attention. I don't pay thots, no mind, no attention.

The only woman that recieves my sexual attention and validation is my girlfriend. We don't winnie the pooh, and she agreed and encourages my semen retention journey. She knows, come december, the lion will be sufficiently hungry, and the passion that would ravage her would be immeasurable.

I plan to marry her in a year's time.

It's amazing in just 30 days, I nearly got my dream career, (top 3 - expert level), my anxiety has reduced, I'm more confident. My mind has never been more clear. My relationship with God is stronger - I pray every night and try to fast weekly.

Another plus - my little man looks more plump, chubbier, more "out there".

Let your little man breathe and he will restore himself to full glory.

I'm sorting my life out anons. And I feel good.

If you want to be in the top percentile of men, simply do what 99% won't do. And that is to stop cooming.

God bless.

I need help asap

I'm a few days in (I don't know, I don't really keep track) and every single time I attempt nofap and noporn it's the exact same scenario:

>I'm fine for a few days, extremely spiritual feelings I pray a ton and I'm super happy and productive

>one day urges hit like a truck, and MUCH MUCH worse ones than when I'm watching porn daily

>the fantasy itself is a lot more distorted than when I'm a regular porn watcher and if I fail (which I always eventually do), I fail by watching something so incredibly degenerate that I feel so guilty that I wanna die

Currently I'm feeling that horrible temptation and I don't know what to do. I always end up failing on this step after a while.

Does this ever go away??

Exact same scenario for me. When I would stop the fantasies would get much worse. They always came back with a vengeance. It never got easier for me, the urges never weakened, they only got stronger. You already know my advice so I’ll shut up now and refrain from adding onto your problems.

Don't know if it's any actual help but, personally the act has generally been something that became habitual–without any regard towards purposeful lust or desire

Either despite this or because of this, the followng is sufficient for me to not care: tiredness. In particular, mental tiredness. For some thinking about life, for others solving mathematical problems, in any case though, there comes a point where one, mentally, is too tired to get absorbed by lewd thoughts (even if they should appear). All the more so, one would be too tired to participate in the act of masturbaton.

That's just me though. For me the act has always been a before you go to bed type thing, hence, as long as I'm tired to the degree that I just want to actually rest my mind/sleep, it won't happen.

Temptations are part of the path.

Urges will come withiut a doubt.

But you will retain and perserve. Bring your focus to God and personal development. Fighting the urge is futile but realigning your focus To healthier habits and beneficial actions is much more effective (than supression)

I just keep failing this isn't working out.

No matter how much I try to pull through, the suffering of withdrawal is just too much to handle. I've been doing PMO since I was a pre-teen extremely regularly,

Is it an insult and a grave sin to attempt to quit gradually? (quit habitual fapping at first + extremely unconventional messed up porn, then quit fapping with videos, then quit fapping with any form of porn altogether then quit fapping for good)

I don't know what PMO is.

It is better to quit all of these evils and fail from time to time, than it would be to intentionally keep doing them. For certain the most important thing you must do is quit porn. Do not watch any porn. Do not watch the less severe stuff. Just don't. The stuff draws you in.

The advice of the Holy Fathers on avoiding sin and in particular carnal sin is most true. The point to start fighting is when the sin first enters your mind. You need to give it no consent. Do not fantasize about sex. Do not fantasize about women. Do not fantasize about getting a good Christian bride and having her. These are all demonic tricks to reel you in like an angler starting with something seemingly small and ending in the most horrid porn. You can get married and have a big family without falling for the fantasy trick. As you get into the habit of not fantasizing about sex you will start to break free.

And pray about it. A lot.

Your too hard on yourself friend. If all you got left is to try and quit gradually isn’t that better than not trying at all?

If you’ve tried everything else then what else can you do but try what hasn’t been tried. Personally I think you’ve been lied to about the human condition of imperfection and what serious sin really is. I was never able to accept the truth about this until I tried everything I can first.

You go ahead and give this goal of yours everything you got, while using everyone else’s advice. Maybe you will succeed. But as today’s daily reading forum points out, our ‘feet’ will at least always be dirty and Christ cleans it for us. We must keep everything else clean ourselves. But our ‘feet’ will always find a way to become dirty again. Yes everyone. I see what Christ said as heavily metaphorical.

I joined /r/nofap (despite it being, you know, reddit and all), but it's not really a "social" thing very much. I'd like to make some friends who are also on a journey to leave behind the empty pleasures of the flesh, because it seems like it would be harder to do alone. This place is nice, but it's kind of slow, and the anonymity (while useful for other things) makes it difficult to make bonds with people.

How do I ask for God's grace reconnect the ideas of love and sex in my head? I've been a porn addict for 12 years now and I just realized the main reason I've really sought out a relationship with a woman is because I've had so much porn readily at hand. It's also led me to look down on the Sacrament of Marriage as a sinful and degenerate necessity for procreation (along with dating and the like. Also, I wasn't putting it in the league of something like sodomy, but I still had a very low opinion of it) instead of a reflection of the life-giving love Christ gives us in the Eucharist. What prayers do I need to pray, which saints should I ask to intercede for me? These are all questions I need to know because after I went to Confession earlier today, I've never been so sure that God is calling me towards the vocation of married life (because frankly that's the only vocation that it seems I'm running towards rather than using it as a means to run away from another) and no woman should have to put up with a husband that objectifies her and loves her only for her body. I have to change my sinful ways and really start living out God's plan for not only me, but His universal plan for holiness right now and I can't do that mired in a pit of lust.

>How do I ask for God's grace to reconnect the ideas of love and sex in my head?

Pray to him, anon. Ask him to heal your mind. I've also been a porn addict for over 10 years. Ask him to give you a love for chastity and a love for the conjugal act.

>a reflection of the life-giving love Christ gives us in the Eucharist.

I'm glad you made that connection, anon. I always knew that marriage was a pure loving thing but my perception of it and the Eucharist was really enhanced when I learned that Christ gives himself over to us completely through it just as two souls give themselves to one another through the conjugal act.

>What prayers do I need to pray, which saints should I ask to intercede for me?

If you haven't already, read what the Catechism has to say on chastity and marriage (2231-2379~)

Here's a litany I used to use for chastity

http://www.chastitysf.com/litany_of_chastity.htm

Here's also a prayer which I modified from my Roman Missal

<Lord Jesus, give me a pure and chaste mind, heart, body, and soul.

As for saints, I would say St. Agnes or St. Gemma. It's easy to find saints of chastity but not really for marriage since most saints happened to be chaste.

Good luck anon

It's very difficult for someone as weak-willed as I am. Forgive the graphic details lads, but given the subject matter… I haven't looked at porn in over a week, which is progress I suppose, but that's only because I've been fapping to pictures or thoughts of my long-distance girlfriend, whom I've known for three months. The pictures aren't pornographic, mostly just selfies.

One thing that's concerning is our flirting as of late. Before it was just "love", "honey", "kisses", that sort of thing, but we started talking dirty to each other a week ago. Since then, I've gently suggested it might not be a good idea that we continue, but she disagrees, stating that it excites her and that we intend to marry, so therefore it is okay. She's a terrific girl and we're a near-perfect match, so I don't dare do anything rash (e.g. break up) over this. Rather, I think I'll do my best to redirect her attention whenever the conversation goes in a sexual direction.

To help curb my porn/masturbation addictions, I ordered a pair of handcuffs and got them in the mail today. I've never heard of it being tried before, but I've cuffed myself from the front, so there is a constant visual reminder of my efforts to stay chaste, as well as the physical limitation. I'll remove them to eat, lift, sleep, etc., but they'll go right back on afterwards, as long as I'm alone at home. It sounds silly I'm sure but, God willing, this will help me to stay chaste until marriage. We shall see.

I might as well vent for a little bit because I just failed again. was going ok holding back the demons for days 1-4 but 5 was a relentless assault. It wasn't holding back the sexual imagery that caused me to fail, but something else entirely wore on me until it just snapped and I gave in. This is another tick on my list of failures, and not even close to the longest run. Gonna need a new strategy, thinking of changing from going to confession last after I free myself from sin, instead I will go to confession first, abstain, then repeat if I fail. I have a feeling that's been shaking me, that my judgement is about to fall, like God is tiring of my weakness, wickedness, and faithlessness. Or worse, I'm condemned to a life of perpetual sin and die godless and damned.

We have a saying about the devil his temptations:

>always hide from the devil

>if you can't hide, run

>if you can't run, fight

You never start by fighting. In the case of lust, I would say that the first thing to do is to hide from all lewd imagery, i.e. browsing chans etc. It really goes a long way, but there will come a time when the temptation comes from within. Then you have to run, i.e. try to occupy your mind with something else asap. Get up from bed, take a walk, etc. And finally, at some point you won't be able to run. You could be stuck at home because of lockdown and run out of things to do for example. Then you have to fight. Take my example: a couple of months ago I had a surgery and lived with a urinary catheter for 17 days. This means even the slightest boner was painful.Of course there was no way for me to masturbate. It felt like the ultimate trial, but I managed to go through it thanks to God's grace. I prayed the rosary every day. It showed me that it could be done, and it was easier than I thought.

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm bragging, and that this helps you in some way.

God bless

>the desire sometimes burns hot enough that I can't think, move, or commit any energy to distract myself.

I think these are lies we tell ourselves (or the demon does). Satan will make you believe that you won't be able to do anything until you relapse. But it's wrong, you can always just go outside and walk, unless you have some serious handicap. I heard a priest on Sensus fidelium say "remove yourself from the situation you're currently in" or something like this. That means whatever you're doing, do something else. As for more practical ideas, here are some of mine:

>pray the rosary (better with mysteries)

>just walk outside, or drive

>HIT THE GYM

>running (even a 20 or 30 min session goes a long way)

>go to the mass, why not everyday?

>read (if possible not on your bed)

>work on a skill/take up a hobby, mine for ex is sculpting clay

>make a to do list (I recommend To Do by microsoft, unironically) to keep yourself busy

I've said it and I'll say it again, NEVER browse any board except this one. And ofc try to spend time with other people.

I almost only ever go on /o/. Granted it's very hard to quit. I try to see it this way: did our elders, or any of the saints, spent hours browsing boards every day ? Probably not.

My point is, browsing certain boards or websites must not be inherently sinful, since you are not going on these boards with the intention of doing evil.

When going outside you may see women dressed, acting and speaking immodestly. Should you not go outside at all then?

>I try to see it this way

What an idiotic idea. Did our elders or the saints spend time talking to people sharing a common interest? Probably.

I'm not saying one should spend hours every day doing this though.

But 4chins is mostly crap now anyway, so abstaining from boards from that place in particular is doing oneself a favour.>>848681

Well your point is retarded because it is actually sinful, since you are fully aware you're going to find nsfw stuff there. You are just lying to yourself otherwise. Moreover, you are forced to go outside because of work, duty and whatever, but nothing forces you to browse chans.

You seem to agree with me anyway

>abstaining from boards from that place in particular is doing oneself a favour

So I feel like you just want to argue for the sake of it. Made me reply/10

It is possible to find NSFW stuff in non-NSFW boards, but not common. You are not going there with the intention of seeing NSFW stuff. It is pointless to try to reduce the number of possibilities of temptation in this manner. You are tempted all the time in different ways. Right now arguing with me. When you look at people, talk to people, when you pray, when you sleep, when you eat, when you seek any sort of amusement or information you are open to temptation. According to your logic, these things are sinful. Fr. Ripperger mentioned once that Christians differ from Zen Buddhists in this aspect, not seeking total abstinence from all such things but practicing virtue. One may become obsessed with their temperance in one thing such as lust, or alcohol in excess, counting the days without committing that particular sin, and that can give a false sense of holiness, and make one's fall harder.

>You seem to agree with me anyway

I mean partial abstinence from certain imageboards, not complete abstinence from all imageboards.

Alright I'll reply out of charity, because your nonsense really isn't worth my time. But you must be struggling too, otherwise you wouldn't be here.

>You are not going there with the intention of seeing NSFW stuff.

And? If you keep falling because of it, isn't it your duty to use your intelligence and change your behavior?

>It is pointless to try to reduce the number of possibilities of temptation in this manner

Read your sentence out loud. I shouldn't try to reduce the occasions of temptations? You can't be serious.

>One may become obsessed with their temperance in one thing such as lust, or alcohol in excess, counting the days without committing that particular sin, and that can give a false sense of holiness, and make one's fall harder.

Projecting? I'd say the obsessed one is you, who would rather keep subjecting yourself to temptation rather than just go away. You are obsessed with your sin. I am not, because I know how weak I am, so I do everything I can to not have to deal with it. That requires humility though. If however you can manage to browse these boards and not give in to lust, good for you I guess, but please be charitable enough to understand that's not the case for everyone.

My 'nonsense' is based on Christian doctrine and you're thinking like a tigger, not even being able to discern what is particular from what is universal, thinking that I'm talking about me or you. Read again what I said and study more about the religion you supposedly follow, that is, if your Catholicism has any resemblance of Christianity.

What is ironic in the fact that I do not adhere to any church but study Christian doctrine?

What an effeminate tigger-like behaviour - thinking I have anything against you or Catholicism, even despite the fact that I mentioned a great well-known Catholic priest earlier.

My points still stand if you have any objection.

Job 31:1 I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.

Sirach 9:5-9 Don't look too intently at a virgin, or you may find yourself forced to pay a bride price. Don't give yourself to prostitutes, or you may lose everything you own. So don't go looking about in the streets or wandering around in the run-down parts of town. When you see a good-looking woman, look the other way; don't let your mind dwell on the beauty of any woman who is not your wife. Many men have been led astray by a woman's beauty. It kindles passion as if it were fire. Don't sit down to eat with another man's wife or join her for a drink. You may give in to the temptation of her charms and be destroyed by your passion.

Sirach 25:21 Never lose your head over a woman's beauty, and don't try to win a woman because she is wealthy.

Sirach 18:30-32 Don't be controlled by your lust; keep your passions in check. If you allow yourself to satisfy your every desire, you will be a joke to your enemies.

Sirach 23;4-6 O Lord, my Father, God of my life, keep me from being arrogant protect me from evil desires.Keep me from being overcome by greed or lust; do not leave me at the mercy of these shameless passions.

Wisdom 4;12 For the witchery of paltry things obscures what is right and the whirl of desire transforms the innocent mind.

>"…yet we are plainly taught by these words of Christ, that Satan views with deeper hatred, and attacks with greater fierceness and rage, those who have been rescued from his snares. Such an admonition, however, ought not to inspire us with terror, but to arouse us to keep diligent watch, and to put on the spiritual armor, that we may make a brave resistance."

This is in reference to Matthew 12:43-45, a passage that stood out to me today. This is only my first time going through the New Testament, but I think this can apply to our struggles.

>43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

>44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

>45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Do not let the unclean spirits find you empty, swept, and garnished. Your first battle with Satan will not be the last, and will only paint you as a future target to him. This means that we must always stay vigilant. Lust is an ongoing battle. Don't think that one victory is the end of it.

Give it to me straight, docs.

Are masturbation/pornography a mortal sin? I 100% agree to them being sinful in at least some manner, especially if you're married, but I can't fathom the idea of a single soul among the laity reaching Heaven or at least Purgatory if this act is a mortal sin and defiles the seventh commandment. I'm trying to perma nofap for lent, hoping I can keep the streak going past the Lenten season, but the thought that arguably 99% of the modern population is damned for this sin is keeping me up at night. Is this the brutal reality of this act? Am I just projecting my own insecurities in masturbation? I'll keep you all in my prayers, and I hope you do the same for me.
