All right lads, I'm a long time lurker and I have some stuff I want to share.

So I left the UK as a boy and have lived in New Zealand ever since. The thing is, I never felt at home here, I was always wanting to "go home". As an adult every time I read about all the shit happing there I get so mad. Added to that is a desire to help my family, especially my nan and my auntie.

So I've decided to save up as much as possible and move back. Any advice on how to re-integrate into British life? What shit should I be ready for when I arrive?

Anyway, if you lived here as a boy you presumably have citizenship? If not, you won't get in as a white non-euro.

If you want to actually live among Brits, avoid London, Birmingham, Luton, and Bradford. Plenty other areas are borderline so do some research on demographics.

I did notice that, just wanted to break the mould.

I was born in the the UK as were my parents, grandparents and so on and so forth. I already have a British passport.

I'm from Chester, and from I can tell it's still majority British there.

>Any advice on how to re-integrate into British life?

We're mostly trying to integrate into British life ourselves, a large number of us have never had jobs, have no friends, never had a girlfriend, and are living almost entirely in our bedrooms at our mum's houses.

>What shit should I be ready for when I arrive?

I would be very careful that you don't contract clinical depression the moment you step off the plane. This is not a joke, I'm dead serious.

Do you ever get long stretches of gloomy, cold, wet, grey days down where you are?

Could you handle the summer what you call winter I guess only having about 2 weeks worth of sunshine a year?

Would being surrounded by things like pics related everyday of your life negatively impact your mood? Because that's a rough idea of what the areas you'll be moving to will look like.

I sincerely urge you to reconsider whether moving here would be a good idea for you or not, I don't want you coming over here with hopes and dreams, only to be thinking of killing yourself on your first night here.

Don't come here.

You have no idea how good you have it.

The best advice I could give you is come for a holiday first, see if you like it and scout around a few locations, like Chester. Half of my family is from Chester. It's really nice round there. I don't live there now and I imagine parts of it are quite expensive. For me it would be anyway. Also start familiarize yourself with the job market here. You can do that online and if you visit.

Also try Indeed

Don't let those pictures put you off. Those are some of the worst places in Britain. It's quite beautiful round my area. It really depends where you want to go obviously. It's possible you might love it here. It's strange but I've met a number expat Americans who live in my area and they seem to love it here.

Pic is just down my street.

Personally though I'd kill to be allowed to live in New Zealand and wonder why you'd want to leave

I figured that, I sort of meant getting used to the way things are done over there, punds vs. dollars where to shop etc.

I prefer colder weather actually it's one of the reasons I want to move back. One of the others is those pictures you posted - I want to try and do something about that. Luckily I'm not from an estate or any of those concrete monstrosities in photo 2.

I know the UK is pretty messed up, but I feel it is where I belong and I want to fight for it.

In my experience NZ isn't all it's made out to be. The prices for everything are far too expensive, the summers are too hot and long for my liking. There are a whole host of other reasons I think NZ is nice, but not as great as it seems from the outside - certainly not as great as many New Zealanders think it is.

>>34567

As I said above I wouldn't be living in an estate or a rundown street ( or at least I don't plan to). I want to move back to help look after my nan and also to do something towards making Britain Great again (to steal a phrase). But more than that, I feel a deep and abiding connection to, and love for Britain, in spite of all the problems there.

Why do you britfags post everything in a single thread? What's the point in that?
