When I was about 18 I had this pimple thing on my ass crack, I was terrified to go to the Dr about it because of anxiety issues, anyway it got really inflamed and caused me significant pain and I had no choice but to eventually go to the Dr, I thought I had ass cancer or something, the Dr was really cool about it, told me what it was instantly, a pilonidal sinus, basically an infected ingrown hair that causes a pimple/cavity thing in your ass crack and it's not life threatening at all.

It was extremely embarrassing, but my mind was at ease afterwards. I eventually had to have surgery and have it cut out of my ass and for what ever reason they can't stitch it back up and it has to heal naturally so I had to have a nurse come to my house every day for 6 months to clean and dress the wound while it healed.

I felt it was unsafe. The blokes I worked with were great. I'd work with them again. The management and induction to the site were pretty standard. I was going pretty well with the job itself but I wasn't quiet about my opinion of the structures and buildings. Someone mentioned doing a hazard report but I know that the management wouldn't have done anything but take a look and tell me to harden up. They say you can refuse if you feel unsafe but that just put's you at loggerheads with the job. The main thing was the heights, the rundown nature of the place, all the danger tape and tags didn't inspire confidence. Neither did the rust on the platforms and everything was old or not really engineered enough for me to feel like I could walk around my work area without feeling anxious. I've felt far safer underground at the other mine 1km under.

One downside to going to look for work if you get on an actual dsp (rather than youth - i don't remember how that worked) is that once you start you need to keep going.

I got a youth disability supplement with my youth allowance instead, I still have the obligations of going to these job cunts. I opted in to it. I've had a couple jobs but for various reasons I couldn't hack it o I thought a disability work provider could help. It helps in that I have a reason to go out on days when I otherwise wouldn't (sometimes dont want to).

Maybe, seeing as you're on a youth disability sup. one could help you. Compared to how other NEETs say their work provider places are, the one I go to seems a lot better. Even though they are still shit at finding work.

The human interaction part of work, for me at least, is what has helped me a fair bit. At your age I was really fucked up, I didn't go outside except to get smokes, dope or food and I generally tried to find ways to get that to come to me.

I'm ok money wise tbh on dsp, like I could use more but I pay my bills and I dont buy stuff so I get by ok.
