I called a new plumber. It went to voicemail, I left a message saying what I needed done and asking for him to call me back. Maybe he will.

The plumber has not called back yet. Feeling anxious. Wish this had all been easier to get done.

After all this bullshit I have gone through with these unreliable cocksucker plumbers, I relented and called the plumber I have used in the past. He has always turned up on time, but I didn't mean to use him again because whoever he sent last time flooded my ceiling by not properly sealing a pipe he had cut. But I am desperate now.

I called and spoke to a lady and she has booked me in for between 1 and 2 this afternoon. I like that system where they have someone dedicated to handling bookings.

The handyman finally emailed me those quotes. They were quite reasonable. Just over $2000 work all up. I texted him saying that I wanted to go ahead with all the jobs. I hope it doesn't turn into more of an ordeal that it has already been.

The laundry drain is done. A rubber seal has been replaced on my toilet cistern. He has gone for a drive now to get a part he needs to fix my banging pipes issue. Apparently the water pressure is too high and he needs to put a valve onto the water meter to lower it. He says it will cost me $150.

I have finished watching From Dusk Till Dawn (1996). It was a bit of a mess. It started out as a serious sort of movie about a pair of criminals and a family of hostages and then suddenly turned into some schlock horror parody fest. It wasn't really my thing. It didn't know if it was a comedy or a drama. Not a great film.

I am watching Jackie Brown (1997) next. I have seen it a couple of times before. I remember liking it.

I went to take a chair out to the little shed in my backyard and the door wouldn't open. The key wouldn't turn. I grabbed the handle to put some force on the door to loosen up whatever might have been stuck and the handle ripped clean off. I can't get in there at all now.

The pressure was too low, I think I have it right now. It took about six trips down there and then coming back to the house to check. It was Ninja State of Origin, they did the course as a team. Each team had to have one woman and two of the teams did the smart thing and gave their woman the easy part of the course which is the start but the women were so shit they both fell off on the first opbstacle which even I would be able to do with no problems. So the boys didn't even get to go. It was funny but I felt bad for them.

I have finished watching Jackie Brown (1997). It is my favourite Tarantino movie. A quieter film than his others. Less shock stuff and blood and guts everywhere. Great understated acting. Excellent performances all around. Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Pam Grier, even Robert DeNiro. Great soundtrack. A great film. Not perfect though. I didn't like the ending. I am giving it 8.5/10. Next up is Kill Bill Volume 1 (2003)

I have finished Kill Bill Volume 1 (2003). It was watchable. It didn't drag. But it was all a bit ridiculous. Stupid choreographed fighting and women pretending to be sword fighters. It was not my cup of tea. I will give it 6.5/10. Watching Volume 2 next.

I have finished Kill Bill Volume 2. I think I will give it the same rating as Volume 1. They are really just halves of the same film. David Carradine was very good but the plot dragged in parts and I could never really care much about Uma Thurman's character.

Next up I am watching Sin City (2005). It is not really a Tarantino movie - apparently he just guest directed a small part of it - but I looked it up and it seems like a decent movie I might like. I haven't seen it before.

The week is over and no contact from the handyman, I think it is very unlikely I will ever hear from him again. That is for the best now. I do not want him to do the work any more. Fuck him. I am disappointed at what has happened. I cleaned the whole house and got over my anxiety and made all the phone calls and got this cunt in and he fucked me over. It has made me think I need to be more self reliant. All of the jobs I wanted him to do are ones I could do myself, although since I lack knowledge and skills there is a chance I could fuck them up and damage the house and materials by trying. I have finished watching Sin City (2005). It was better than I expected it to be at first. When I saw the black and white "artistic" style they were going with I was ready to dislike it but it turned out very watchable. It wasn't great, but it was okay. I will give it 6.5/10. I won't add it to the list with the Tarantino movies because his involvement in it was so small.

Next I am watching Grindhouse (2007) which is a weird thing where Tarantino and his friend both made different movies but put them together back to back and made trailers for fake coming attractions and shit like that for in-between. Tarantino wrote and directed the second movie Death Proof. I have not seen it before.

I have dusted and vacuumed the main bedroom, and vacuumed the entry hall. Those were the only parts of the house that were noticeably dirty. Doggo sheds so much hair in the bedroom, it gets on everything.

I did that then I ran out of steam. I have no energy. The rest of the house and the mopping of the floors is not going to get done. I will do the dishes tonight and tidy up a bit more tomorrow morning. Hopefully I remember to hide the things that need to be hidden.

I lost my temper yesterday when talking to my mother when I grew frustrated with her because she had phoned the termite man without telling me. The results of the termite inspection were extremely simple. There was a tree stump alongside the house that had termites in it and should be removed. There was another tree stump along the driveway that did not have termites in it but should also be removed as a precaution because it might attract them in the future. It was fucking simple and I explained it to her clearly so why did she have to phone the guy and then get her dumb self all confused? She misunderstood what he told her and then without consulting me she phoned the local council and told them there was a termite-infested tree stump on council land at the front of my house which they needed to come and remove (which is not the case).

I got angry when I heard all this out of the blue but it was not that bad I didn't even call her any names. I just told her to call the council and tell them not to come which she kept refusing to do. I don't even know if she's done it. Anyway today she sends me a thousand word text message about how she is getting a second termite inspection done for "clarity" and all this other shit. And at the end she says she is turning off her phone after sending the message so now I can't even phone the crazy bitch to try and reason with her.

She wrote about how disappointed she was at how I spoke to her, which is rich considering how I can barely stand to phone her or visit her at all because she is constantly nasty and abusive about everything. Since I live in a house she owns I have just had to take it. It has been the price I have had to pay to have some security about where doggo and I live. She is so difficult to deal with. I don't know what is mental illness and what is her just being a nasty piece of work.

I am disappointed at myself for being in this position. I am too old to be having "mother" problems like this. It is because I have not worked hard enough to become truly independent. I took the path of least resistance which was to allow her to buy this house for me to live in. And it has been too convenient to keep living here and too intimidating to try and get out.
