I did Math 1 and 2 in year 12 (the hardest available in 1997), bachelor of computer science, and a masters in infosec, and whenI tried to enrol in a pure mathematics degree they wanted me to do a bridging course simply because it had been 16 or 17 years since I did year 12. I wouldn't risk, if you dropped it some bullshit check if it exist might send out that email and they would have to fail you. It may also be a condition of enrollment in the subjects (fail that condition and you may fail the subjects). I once got into another degree based on the condition of successfully completing the first. University prerequisites are bullshit a lot of the time but are enforced.

At least at my uni you can just go in and they'll serve you pretty quick and sort out these kind of issues. Wouldn't hurt to call up anyway, but don't stress - in my experience they're generally pretty helpful and actually want to get you sorted and ready
