I used to enjoy occult and magic rituals, even tried some with minor success. I've dreamed of power and immortality for as long as I can remember, and though I haven't done nearly as much progress as I should have, I always thought I was destined for greatness. But lately it feels like all my passion evaporated. I don't feel satisfaction or misery like before. I stopped craving any sort of material or spiritual success, and spend all my free time playing video games like a neet. I used to feel euphoria knowing world is soon ending, now the only feeling I have is indifference. This isn't depression, I don't feel sad in any way. Did something similar ever happen to you? How did you deal with it? Is this just something every human goes through? Why didn't you kill yourself?

Burned out or maybe you reached the point where you realized that most things don't really matter. Magic can be exhausting on the body, mind, and soul so taking a video game vacation isn't bad, or something in the video game is required for you to experience which is why you're drawn to it.

It might be because I enjoy seeing violence and exploration. What scares me the most is the lack of any ambition or desire, which has never happened before.

Honestly, there may be many causes for this change in your emotional state. It could even be something as simple as a nutrient deficiency. Seriously, people underestimate how much their mood is influenced by what goes on in their body (food, sleep, hormones, etc). The lack of motivation and desire is a common symptom of low testosterone levels, for example. But age also plays a role: our goals and priorities often shift as we grow older.

For what it's worth, I share your dream of becoming immortal, though I've never performed a magic ritual. Were you an alchemist? I suggest that you search for Aubrey de Grey on Youtube, he's a scientist who's trying to make us all immortal (and there are others like him).

Not an alchemist, I'm far too disorganised and dynamic for steady work. My "rituals" were mostly spontaneous, never really did their exact purpose. I'm seriously rooting for scientists like Aubrey, alas I really don't think we will achieve immortality in this generation, and even if we do it won't be worth it. I'm more interested in the spiritual path to it, transcending this dull reality. It might be narcissism talking, but I feel like my ego is too strong to just die. What about you?
