I remember a sketched comic I saw ages ago. Should have saved it. Still, I'll describe it, though I may mess up a few details.
It starts off with a large quadruped, I'll call him protag. His mom tries to get him to go get some prey with his fellow quadrupeds, tells protag it feels glorious.
Protag goes off by himself. It's fairly obvious he has little desire to eat the small fuzzy bipeds his fellows are after.
Some time later, he meets a female biped. They chat, she reveals she lacks a fear of death. He reveals he hates to kill, despite that he has to for food. She suggests he try a leaf. Protag hates the taste.
Out of the blue, they are attacked by a huge creature. Protag kills it, but is temporarily paralyzed by some of its bodily fluids. His biped pal looks after him, gets him some curative to assure that the fluid fails to kill him. They've basically saved each other's lives.
However, protag's mom shows up. She's pissed that he got buddy-buddy with prey. So she force feeds him the biped whole while he's paralyzed. She heads off afterwards.
As the biped digests, she tries to reassure protag, though it's clear he's very badly distressed, despite her words. The distress peaks as she dies.
Last page is of a quadruped after a biped. Protag ambushes the quadruped. He kills it fast. As protag takes bites of the quadruped, he says that his mother was right, it feels glorious.
