Zasada używania maseczek w prywatnym samochodzie obowiązuje analogicznie do wspomnianej wyżej: nakaz dotyczy osób, które nie mieszkają razem oraz dzieci w wieku do 4 lat. Oznacza to, że jeśli jedziemy w gronie osób, z którymi mieszkamy razem, maseczki nie są obowiązkowe. Nie trzeba też ich zakładać, jeśli do auta zabieramy cudze dziecko w wieku do 4 lat. Ale uwaga – jeśli bierzemy na pokład babcię, która mieszka w innym mieszkaniu, teoretycznie wszyscy powinni założyć maseczki (z wyłączeniem dzieci do lat 4). Ewentualna kara zależy w praktyce od oświadczenia: mieszkamy razem albo nie mieszkamy razem…
