'92 here when you get a little older or are smart enough, you just start to appreciate the good things around you and ignore the trivial bad things (like most modern AAA garbage).
Ps2 had lots of bangers, but it had a lot of trash/garbage/filler titles too. It's just that those titles are less likely to be remembered as time passes.

Watching the ps5 and xbx showcase made me realize that consoles have been getting more shit since the 360 launched and we'll never get another console gen like the ps2 era. Even tho i got my ps2 slim in 05 im fucking glad i didn't grew up with the 7th gen because fuck do I despise dlc and all the pandering crap. With the ps2 being 20 yrs there's still a lot of games i haven't played yet so I'm going to begin my journey collecting ps2 stuff, we're at a point where is now considered nostalgic.
