It's a tendies shooter now… complete with tendiesmetal music, tendies toys collection, and breakfast cereal marshmallow pickups… It even has some mario gameplay now

Bethesda happened.

Bethesda never did, and never will understand Doom. The normalfags and critics dig this shit up and adore it, but it disappoints true Doom enthusiasts.

That's literally max settings. The only things turned off are chromatic aberration and film grain. Does not look nearly as good as Doom 2016

I mean it was never going to be as good as DOOM, 2 or 64. Those games could only exist in a time when gameplay was first, graphics second. You can't have a AAA game that doesn't look high-res or isn't 3D nowadays, especially an FPS, which means that it's impossible to run with the sheer hoarde numbers of the originals.

It was never going to happen.

For what they are, I like them though. They're at least better than most modern shooters on the market nowaday. Not sure what you man by "mario gameplay" and being honest, I don't think you do either. If you mean the added movement tec, I mean I kind of see what you mean? Not a bad thing imo tho.

Reminder that the originals still exist and the custom WAD community is more alive than ever. Nothing forcing you to pick the new ones over the old.
