I can't exactly describe it, but something feels off in the remake. I was excited for the rerelease and yet I feel like I was shafted. I'm three playthroughs into the title by now. I know it was supposed to be easier but even besides that, Rehydrated feels so hollow by comparison. It's still not a bad game, far from it, but something just feels unpolished, rushed, absent, or any other adjective that'll describe what I'm feeling towards the title right now. You can't recreate the charm of a passion project, and I think that's my single issue with it.
