Good content always gets supported. I did support some games on kickstarter too. Some people always say that certain games are underrated or stay small because they don't have enough publicity. And it doesn't stop there. Back in the days I had pre ordered Grid 2 thinking that it couldn't suck because Grid 1 was such a lovely game. We found out that the game would not have cockpit view and I said that I would cancle my pre order. Upon hearing this one cuck bought 4 more copies of that game and started gifting it away because "dicks like me" are hurting the industry… I am not hurting the industry, I was ready to support a good game. Codemasters hurt themselves by releasing a bad game.

After being a patron for a couple of games during their beta times, I have learned that I'll give money after I see the product. Nothing pissed me off more than giving away hundreds of dollars to kick start a multiplayer game, quit it during its beginning, and come back later to see a different game, with the same skin and lesser graphics, and "balance" passes that I would have never agreed to.
Part of the reason why I stopped subbing to mmos honestly. I don't pay a sub for people to mess with my game play. I paid for subs because it's supposed to guarantee no cheats. Even then they'd fail on that front.
