Hello /v/. I am currently in the market for a new gaming mouse, as my old one, a Z-7900 that served me faithfully for 3 years, has started to double click on me. Any suggestions? I'm probably just going to get another Z-7900 if I can't find something better.

Pros of the Z-7900, which I would like to keep:

>Has some weight to it

>Lots of freely programmable buttons

>DPI switcher

>Ergonomic shape

>$25 price point

Cons that I would consider buying a different mouse if they corrected:

>Thumb button configuration is somewhat awkward, meaning it's easy to fat-finger or miss some of them

>No free-scrolling wheel option

>Middle click occasionally causes accidental scroll

>Setting switcher is on the bottom for some reason

Not sure why you're asking this faggy shit here but

Just don't get a logitech, all their new switches are known to be faulty so they develop double clicking. Mine only took four days until it started double clicking it's fucking pathetic.

Not in my experience. The deathadder I bought back in 2014 didn't even last 6 months before it started fucking up.

Corsair Scimitar if you find it on sale. Got it for around 2 years and has yet to double click on me.

The thumb buttons alternate the texture between rows so you don't need to look to know if your finger is on thumb button 5 or 8, for example.

I use it for daily work as well for web browsing, as this conveniently allows me to use a single hand to save pictures during COOMING sessions.

>MFW I never used it for it's intended purpose of shitty MMO and MOBA games.

Not even trying to meme but razer is terrible unless something has changed in the last few years I've used a razer product. Cheap quality plastic and components that will break only a couple of months after for way too much money, might as well just buy a cheap 5 dollar off brand mouse.

I have to ask, why the fuck does the DeathAdder end up on every goddamn piece of shit "best mice for gaming" list ever? Do they just pay off reviewers really well?

When my mouse started to double click I just swap the buttons.

Eventually I found an autohotkey script to use the mouse through the keyboard, it's surprisingly comfy.

Personally I have owned A Razer Ouroboros since 2013 And it's still working fine to this day. One of its side buttons is wobbly as fuck, but it still registers.

Damn shame the discontinued the bastard. They were like one of those Madcatz transformer mouse but actually good.

How is it to have that many buttons on a mouse? I always thought when I looked at mice with extra buttons that they were stupid gimmicks, but then I got a mouse with page back and forward buttons on the side and realised how useful it was to have them bound to things like specific weapon keys.

With twelve extra buttons though, I'm not sure what you could possibly use those for even in games let alone general use.
