Performance issues, especially when playing in English. Japanese has a different executable and runs a lot smoother. Never noticed any serious issues like crashes, but I didn't spend very much time on English so those issues might be present if you try to play the whole game that way, I don't know. Personally I've been playing the games as Japanese practice so I only switch to English if I'm completely lost or if I'm trying to look up items and traits online against their English names.

You'll probably have to NG+ to get all the endings, especially since you probably already missed a lot of triggers. Just make sure to craft Furniture, especially the Traveler's Shoes, Goddess Statue, Secret Bag, and Harvest Gloves. That all carries over into NG+ and helps a lot with time management.

Also keep in mind that reputation and friendship points from Esty's requests depends on the rank (E through S) of the items you turn in. It will save you a LOT of time filling requests if you try to turn in S rank items.

Doesn't matter. Quality and traits do nothing at all for furniture, only the effects (bars you fill up in crafting) matter. You cannot get the second tier effect for traveler's boots until the overtime dungeons, you only get the one world spirit from your parents prior to that.

when crafting for effects (the ones innate to the item), sort by category, then you can choose amongst your strongest ingredients in order to get the most powerful one

Meruru has so many dialog scenes it's not even funny, or maybe the problem is just around the beginning of year 2. I'm playing mainly to practice Japanese so the dialog is sort of the point, but it really taxes my patience at times. I'd like to get some gameplay now and then, but practically every spot in town is another scene, often multiple.

At least it's not like in Rorona where you would queue up 5 scenes in your atelier that would all play back to back. In Meruru you have to actually leave the atelier and return or craft something to trigger the second+ scene.

The True Ending supersedes all other endings and requires qualifying for all other (non-bad) endings first. Finished my second playthrough of Rorona and started first run of Overtime. Having only a vague idea what should I do next is frustrating and killing a significant of the fun I had a little earlier. I've also possibly ran into an issue - Iron Giant doesn't spawn in Orthogalaxen and the lift at the end of the level is inaccessible. I've tried (and failed) to fight Iron Giant before Overtime once and he spawned just fine then.

That said, both Totori and Meruru are very cute and I'm looking forward to playing their games.

You should have done Overtime on your first playthrough. That way you could get proper Overtime equipment (and fuckloads of money), and when you get back to overtime the second time around you actually have enough time to finish everything.

Not sure about the iron giant not spawning, but you don't go into the lowest level of Orthogalaxen until after you've made the fake dragon hourglass. Then some time later you get an event at the Atelier telling you it's opened up.
