Game of Thrones was legitimately very good at first. It was a show that focused more on grand political intrigue and interactions between kingdoms more than individual character behavior. They also were not afraid to kill off main characters (in two different points of the show, they build up and establish somebody as the main character, and later kill them). Very few long-running TV shows have had the balls to do that.
The show turned to shit when it started focusing primarily on three characters (Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Arya Stark), put on plot armor so no main character would ever die again until the very last episode, completely ignored all the kingdom politics, and started operating with kid gloves.
They spent season after season with these boring characters void of personality wandering for fucking years. They had full story arcs where a main character would sit on an island for half a season and learn about a strange and new religion only to leave the island with a single new ability and no change in perspective or character.
The pacing is the worst thing about the show. It's painfully and pitifully slow in many parts, with nothing important happening at all, and then it rushes through interesting bits leaving you underwhelmed. It's not as bad as other anons are putting it, but it's not really worth the time investment to watch it.

It was pretty bad far before the Hodor arc, but that was definitely a turning point. My issue is how often they recycled the same exact plot points with the same exact characters:
* Daenerys wants to rule everything and kill everybody who sits in her way, and convinces everybody around her that she's good. She does something stupid because she's bloodthirsty and stupid, and her advisors have to reel her in and force her to change her mind and do something less stupid. This happens like 10 separate times.
* Jon Snow is afraid of the Whitewalkers. He tries to convince people to fight against them. They don't want to listen to him, but he proves to them that they need to listen to him. Happens 3 or 4 times.
* Arya wants to kill all the people who she doesn't like. She goes to a new place full of bad people who don't like her, and miraculously instead of dying, she kills all the bad guys and learns a fancy new ability or something. Happens at least 3 times.
* Everybody hates and underestimates Tyrion. He says witty things and is a good person, but nobody else sees it that way. He runs away because somebody wants to kill him. Happens at least three times.
These characters spend more than half of the entire fucking show just doing the same thing over and over again on repeat. The show was interesting when it tracked interactions and intentions of characters, and characters having to work tactfully and intelligently to achieve their desires. After the third or fourth season, it completely abandoned all of this and became an anime, complete with awful plot armor and recycled stories.

I'm going to be real here, Ace Attorney doesn't work without a lot of changes. The names absolutely have to be English because the entire feel of the franchise is based around wordplay and the names are a big part of that wordplay. If everything was just 1:1 people who didn't speak Japanese would have an entirely different emotional experience to those who do. Which is the exact reason I railed against things like Treehouse's god awful Fates localization in the first place: because they were changing the entire tone of the work. In this case in order to keep the tone things have to be changed. The translators had to choose between preserving the accuracy or the tone. They chose tone, which is I think was the right choice. Did they go too far in some places? Yeah, for sure. I think with the benefit of hindsight, both sides of Capcom would have made different choices. For starters, I think the entire world would have been fictional instead of trying to be in "our world" like it was originally. As the series went along the original creators kept making more and more fake countries and things like that, basically like they realized the mistake. Japanifornia was short sided, but I get why they did it. To them it was either: have a bunch of people with English names and English business in Japan or try to pass it off as America, something which Shu Takumi even considered when making the first game (which is why the really Japanese stuff doesn't show up until the sequels, after Takumi figured Capcom wasn't interested in porting). The real solution would simply have been to never name the place at all, but again, that's with the gift of hindsight.

honestly PCs arent very good at jRPGs outside of emulation. there are some shiners though, last remnant, dragon quest, nep-neps, el minage, ninokuni, atelier, tales of, trails, Ys and so on. there's also lots of smaller scale stuff that gets lost in the cracks you never know if they are any good or not until you play it.
with emulation you have reliable and playable access to everything from around the ps2 and backwards and some more recent consoles/handhelds too. nice, upscaled, with nice filters, reshade compatablity, and even hires texture packs (if some autist is autistic enough) and what not. a few recs are last story (wii),legend of legacy (3ds), xenoblade (wii), radiant historia (ds/3ds). i've been waiting on xbox/360/ps3 emulation to get better before diving into those. ps3 has lots of neat stuff that would be great to see upscaled.

That's how I see most new games, there's so much visual clutter that you just get lost in it all. In old games, important things were always more detailed so it was always obvious at a glance what, where and how you had to do. But in a modern game, a tree has as much detail as the player character. Yooka-Laylee was the worst about this, a green character in green stages. The promotional art made it seem even worse.
That, and I've always liked sharper graphics. Antialiasing and especially CRTs make everything looked like my eyes are fucked.

As far as I know, Google withdrew their support to Huawei, so they have to make their own Android fork or their own OS entirely, one that does not use any Google features or apps.
