By the video I've seen it seem pretty small, usually most people recommend use bigger tablet, for better stroke and prevent hurting your wrist.
Also its better to just buy tablet function only just for drawing, all those extra apps will distract you, but depend on your usage I guess.

I have several screens and pads. Used to have a 24in HD cintiq till it died. Got a few XP-Pens instead as they are a Japanese company not a chink one. About 4 years ago anything other than Wacom was automatically worse. Now though outside of companies Wacom is losing out as the compitition is very close at a fraction of the price. Given how low you can get a good screen display now I'm not sure I would recomend an old pad at all now. Drawing on the screen is MUCH easier than on a pad. I would take a look at the new XP-Pen Artist Display 15.6 Pro. It might seem expensive but compared to wacom it's pretty cheap. Wacoms $3000 top of the line cintiq does not even come with a stand.

It was… Insufecent for me, specially for lineart. I suppose it would be ok for painting tho, but I didn't test the thing too much before returning it. Maybe this newer version is better. Modelling work does have better feedback, making it easier to do iterations on an idea. A bit like sketching, except there's less effort in shuffling things around and changes are more prone to staying clean and consistent.
Then again, you lose most of your ability to use ambiguity and lack of detail. You don't get to imply forms in 3D without jumping through a load of hoops and restricting yourself in some way. If you're trying to create a new character or idea, it might be hard to see too far beyond whatever boilerplate shapes you picked as a basis.
And then animation, if you're into that, is a whole other beast. Designing models in a way that is animation-friendly, rigging them up, and then applying just about everything there is to know from regular cinematography and traditional animation will take serious time even if you know what you're doing.
Just fuck around with 3D for a while, see if it sticks. Maybe you're stressing over nothing and will love or hate it enough that you'll make your mind up immediately.
