I know a couple people who have played through the story modes, and their consensus is that it's extremely dumb and makes no sense. There's also a fucking tonne of it, since BB is a multimedia series these days.

The KLK game looks less like an arena fighter from the trailer and more like a 3D fighter like Tekken. Plus even though the website says APlus is developing it, they keep insisting that ArcSys is making it as well. So maybe it's a joint effort. Now that's not a sign that it'll be good, since the last time Studio Trigger was involved in a joint effort with another company (A-1 Productions) we got Darling in the FRANXX, but if ArcSys is there to make sure it's actually good and not garbage like the LWA game, it might be worthwhile. And it's being demoed at EVO, so we'll have more info there.

Now that is rather interesting. You do have a point in that it really doesn't seem like a typical animu arena fightan. That snippet of movement early on when the camera was top down for a second as well as the perspective locking to a typical 2D fightan game angle when doing chains and an outright Dust attack launcher straight outta GGXrd and the way that air juggle looked are giving me the impression that it's an attempt of translating ArcSys's style of fightan if you can call it that into 3D.

Silhouette makes me think it's gonna be something in this style. Whatever it is, I think it was a poor choice by them, if they're making a character from scratch why not Kasumi, Jenet, Fio etc.? Kukri in a dress as a final boss would have been a lot more amusing IMHO, an actual successor to Miss X.

Another thing that's still a headscratcher is the select screen because it looks like it's been deliberately designed to accommodate a much larger roster.

Relatively subdued appearance with a simple costume that doesn't have much color and fights unarmed but is extremely expressive in every little thing he does whether it's just crouching or blocking. His moves also feel very impactful and IMHO that's saying a lot for a GG character; one of my favorite things about the gseries is how moves have a lot of weight behind them and Slayer's punches look like they must hit like a train probably because a lot of his moves are single hits.

That's my understanding of it too though only the fireball and dp are consistent, Morrigan is a good example as she doesn't really have a tatsu and most of her supers aren't just beefed specials. SNK's shotos (Kyokugenryuu characters come to mind) also have a few extra tools.

I love fighting games but don't play much online anything, let alone online fighting. In fact, I am practically pathologically incapable of enjoying online multiplayer because it's so alien to my sensibilities. While I have dabbled with FightCade and online matchmaking I often just avoid it all together out of an odd brand of online social anxiety. Something about microphones and the idea of being recorded freaks me out, but also just hearing the voice of a stranger trying to directly talk to me also gives me the creeps.

My investment in Fighting games fell off after college and after the Arcades died when I could no longer get people to play IRL. If I play fighting now its often against the CPU opponents. My favorite fighting game ever is a toss up between Tekken 3 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

this leads to a few questions bearing in mind I am likely to play them as single player games,

I don't really need a solid single-player mode as long as there is a competent CPU AI that has a fair difficulty curve and maybes few unlockables to motivate consecutive playthroughs of a bog standard tournament mode. It is the highest fidelity in the series, which is not the same thing. Almost every idle animation has something lacking compared to previous iterations of the character, or is lacking in detail due to the truly insane levels of detail they committed to. The weird animu faces on certain characters don't help. Billy at 3:00 is the epitome of this, as is Kula at 2:25.

XIII is also an autistic combo mess, with a bunch of TODs and dirty mixups to complement them. Even a scrub like me can see and feel how XIV was intentionally made to be more interactive.

Can't speak to the AI of any game, since I don't find playing CPUs rewarding.

The sprite work caused so many problems with the game. The roster was smaller because of it, the roster was filled with head swaps because of it and so many character's movesets were gutted to save on animation costs leaving a small hand full of actual viable/complete characters. The only thing XIII had going for it is the sprites and it was great if you loved autismal long combos filled with max cancelling

XIV is actually complete, works off 98/02 as it's base, everyone on the fucking huge roster has all their moves and even the lowest tier characters are actually viable to a certain extent.

Like other anons said, XIII is more known for its graphics and questionable art design by many fans than its gameplay or roster. Stuff that XIV excels compared to its previous iteration.

Yeah, don't say that next to mexicans, brazilians or chineses. XIII is like the other anon said, the most "anime" take on KOF probably before SNK Heroines but that's a borderline party game but after 2002, KOF took a change in its core to be more "hop friendly" by making worse anti air options. You can see the difference here on hitboxes the philosophy had changed.

Not only that but the game is really focused on combos to do damage and HD Mode is really prominent and can be activated from far normals with autorun so you see a lot of the same loops over and over to deplete the HP bar of the opponent while before in 2002 and specially in '98 it took fewer hits to do the same kind of damage. EX moves combined with how hitboxes worked in that game made regular specials and DMs almost useless.

XIV tried to "go back" to the old games with 2002-inspired hitboxes and toned down a lot of the combo stuff by locking EX moves behind MAX mode but with slower walkspeed and other beginner friendly changes like inputs (no more pretzels and more lenient input reader) and easier but shorter combos overall besides the useless autocombo feature. I'd say the worst things XIV "inherited" are from XIII like gutted movelists some characters like Clark and Kensou got stuff back but still poor Maxima, almost to no special intros like >>15133952 said and EX moves or these cancel stuff overall in spite low damage on regular normals/specials.

As for your answer, XIII probably has better experience as a single player game with special intros for every single character in Arcade Mode and a separated Story mode with a few branching paths (it has like 3 scenarios, I think?)It was a big letdown since previous games foreshadowing Adelheid playing a big part along with the cloaked villains who all ended up as NPC characters and the only new guy is a headswap of Ash. and the famous Trials that have quite absurd difficulty in later stages for everyone good luck clearing Leona and Beth whyle XIV has more trials for having more characters (38 against 58) but they are way easier. Honestly both don't hold a candle to Maximum Impact 2 or even other series during the PS2 era in terms of single player content like Soul Calibur III.

You'll like XIV more. Rock Howard is even in the game as DLC and it's by far the best animated character.

But I think SNK wants to improve on using 3D like Capcom did with SFIV to SFxT and now SFV art direction is another topic while ArcSys reached a ceiling with Blazblue. Just look how in BBTAG the RWBY characters compared to Blazblue ones makes the game look like CvS2 or MvC2. Unless your niche is pretty faithful, people will bitch about "6/10 Too pixelated". I don't know if it necessarily had a larger budget; the thing about DBFZ's graphics which enabled the team to make so many character on launch was the reuse of animations and assets (universal overhead is the same as j.M, everyone has the same fly-into-battle pose). Each character also has far fewer frames of animation on average than an Xrd character, even ones from Sign like Zato or Chipp.

For posterity, early in Xrd's life cycle, each character took about 1-2 months of work. Later on, I think they narrowed it down to about 1 month using better workflow and more precise tools. For a much simpler character in DBFZ, I think it's reasonable to say total work would be between 2-4 weeks, not counting cutscenes.

To be honest I don't know if the game will succeed outside of the niche that already backed and the fanbase reminds too much to the Skullgirls one but instead of furries, they have more literal homo. Well, I only did the "preorder tier" in the crowdfunding so it's not like I spent too much on it and I wanted more brazilian games that showed its own culture instead of copying american, european or japanese stuff.

Also, I'm concerned about the people who will play this beta won't be qualified to find stuff or show exploits in the system. An open beta with limited characters like the previous one would be a better idea. There are no large events here like EVO, CB, Revo that are focused on fighting games and top players all live in their own bubbles thinking they'll reach something in their lives by playing videogames here or trying to leave to USA.

We're talking about having quality beta tests for the game and the most qualified people to test and find unintended stuff or giving reasonable feedback besides actual professionals in the segment are high level players. Japan always had specific locketests before the release of an arcade game and even the feedback the arcade releases had were useful to the eventual to console version. I think it would be better to have an open beta for everyone but it's their right to keep in a closed/controlled state. But I still think they should do a better push to make things the best way possible.

So I just made the mistake of watching a SNKH panel with Ogura with the hopes of something interesting but it's basically a hour with a couple of translators that I'm fairly certain are there because they're somebody's nephew or wife's son or whatever. Two noteworthy things - "game boss Kukri" gets dropped which was probably a slip and they showed some of the cut designs. Shame Baseball Nakoruru and Nurse Shermie didn't make it. The only arguably controversial point was raised in this last part regard preschooler Kula, Ogura mentioned that the design was probably too niche/Japan-centric so it was discarded.

I would find it bad if the game really cared to add more interesting characters. So far the only new character is Shermie, probably because they already had her planned as DLC for KOF14. Where is Shiki, Hinako, Lien, Lenny, Yoshino, Kisarah, Rosa? This game is not really interesting yet.

Well, she has 1.5 stances that radically change how she plays in the moment, so kind of. She's well-rounded in the way Zappa could be, and her gameplay does have a distant familiarity: grenade is kind of like dog for oki and pressure, rifle is kind of like sword for zoning, and her normal buttons are kind of like ghosts due to the sheer range she has.

I could see you enjoying her if you liked switching between different playstyle depending on the situation.

Pocket Rumble and Fantasy Strike both for the bill fairly well, though both are made by pretty questionable devs to support. They're at least worth a pirate imo.

Aside from those, it really depends on how far the people you're playing with are willing to go and what they're interested in, aesthetic-wise. Samurai Shodown 2/VSp are both simple enough despite the motions for some characters being really difficult but all of my friends hate it because of the atmosphere the game has is pretty grim. Koihime takes that same gameplay style and makes the inputs completely standardized with a good buffer and adds assists, but is ultra anime which I know can turn people off.

P4AU is great if you're playing with weebs that are willing to learn how to quarter circle, ditto with DBFZ if you can convince them that characters are homogeneous enough that you're not really learning 3 to play. P4AU is probably the better game but both are fun enough with wide appeal.

I had good success playing FEXL with one of my friends that wasn't all that into fightans, since it has chain combos and that progressive control scheme worked well enough. Other SF2-like games (or SF2 itself) may also be worth a consideration too, my brother quite liked Akatsuki Blitzkampf when I played it with him.

As >>15154709 mentioned, Soul Calibur is quite good and I'd extend that out to most 3d fightans. Since they don't have many motions a lot of casuals aren't as scared by them. You also can just press buttons and feel like you're "doing" things, even if it's a mental trick, not too unlike smash really.

If anyone you play with ends up being more interested in fighting games, both UNIST and GGXrdR2 have great, thorough tutorials that can be applied to many other games so those are pretty good ones to recommend, especially if they tried and liked something like P4AU.

Sometimes all it really takes though is showing them how cool fightans can be, I had a lot of people I know get into Guilty Gear after they saw me play it since it just looks fun, despite both its reputation and the genres itself off being difficult.

From my experience, that's by far the worst part. In the spirit of fairness I want people to know the most basic mechanics and at least get acquainted with the buttons maybe know a special or two, only to get a "dude, let's just play the game" and then they get steam rolled because even if I play at a much more leisurely pace, I don't lose on purpose and, naturally, the game is bullshit.

Now that I'm thinking about, I remember back in highschool I made one guy lose his shit but I admit that was deliberately mean.

Soul caliber was fun from the bit I played with an old roommate, but I don't know if they would have fun with it. We are talking about smash bros players. I'm talking about using the counter for 1/4 meter that then uses the card move for another 1/4 meter. If the opponent blocks the first part you are left wide open. Baiken also has a harder time doing the counter from low block. Really the game just becomed understanding how her counters work and you could do things around them.Matches with one guy I used to play were great as it would lead to him learning when to punish and I had to change up how I played often. Just because a character seems annoying to play against, doesn't mean the fun thing should be removed.

I don't begrudge you for feeling that way about Baiken in Xrd, but the game did the same thing to a lot of characters because Daisuke and Pachi wanted to go back to a simpler mechanical basis to ensure the game was less incomprehensible. I'm hardly an expert, but the core gameplay idea of "be careful, this character can act from blockstun" is still there in Rev2; any tournament set will show both players adapting to Azami opportunities and trying to bait/bluff them.

I'm not a baiken main or even a guy who put in any time with baiken during the XX years but the loss of her various Hanafuda Cards is something I miss even though she's both a rarely played character and those moves are equally rarely used whenever I watched footage. In general losing the alpha counter properties to her counter moves is a decision I'm not sure was the best overall.

I'll be honest, when Xrd first came out Ram was one of the reasons I never picked up the game (in addition to not having my then main Zappa present). I saw her design and felt like ArkSys was doubling down on blazblue in order to make more money. Ram is odd, since you control her moves with PPP and KKK chains like Tekken, but her swords are special moves that she can use to extend combos and play neutral. She was a god in Sign due to the swords being invuln at all times, weaker in Rev due to nerfs, but overall where she probably should be in Rev2 since she was given a couple of new special moves that recall her swords and generally make her pokes/combos slightly better.

She isn't as comfortable at all ranges as Zappa is (lol ghosts), but she's oppressive in the corner and frightening if not threatening elsewhere on the screen. I can't stand playing her myself, but that's probably just my awful execution.

That may have had something to do with it, frankly. Rev2's budget was so small the devs had to pare down three planned characters to two (one of the VA's secret messages mentions this), so Baiken's streamlining probably didn't completely have to do with her being "too good" in +R.

Fighting EX Layer has that and has the progressive control option which turns a bunch of command inputs into stuff somewhat close to smash. Alternatively you can go with the free option and emulating Street Fighter EX2+ but that has stuff like Excel Combos to deal with

SC1-2 are very fundamental heavy while being lite on execution (bar a few just frame moves and Ivy's grab) and on the matter of high damage, it does let you set a handicap for more HP which in turn can ease people into accepting a higher damage output. At least that was a epiphany I had along with my friend from college who played the SC1-3 with me, we both came to the conclusion that the handicap was making our play sloppy.

I won't say SC is the ultimate series for people completely green to the genre but it's flashy, doesn't demand much dexterity nor memory to understand at a basic level and almost every character is easy to pick, the most technical one (Maxi) will, ironically, feel like the braindead pick. That said, starting to with 3 the series gets more complicated - bigger emphasis on combos, more just frame crap and some characters get completely bloated move lists (5 tries to fix this but adds meter management for another set of complications).

There's also Darkstalkers. It's very technical on a competitive level but on the surface, it appears pretty straight forward; very fast (especially Savior) and combos are for the most part zig-zag chains and normal>special. I'm a bit partial to Nightwarriors, the second game but I think most prefer Savior. Capcom sucks fat gorilla dick for not having one damn version with every character playable (unless you can track down a copy of the Dreamcast port).

I've seen this come up a lot in the TF2 community when Valve was trying to support the game for better competitive play; people tended to think the "competitive community," such as it was, loved their decade-old meta of 2xScout/2xSoldier/Demo/Medic because that's all they enjoyed playing. They certainly do enjoy it in the same slightly masochistic way I'm sure Darkstalkers players love Sasquatch/Q-Bee's 9f aerial normals, but they don't hate change, either.

It's the same thing with 3S Online Edition; initially (according to some guy on YT who watches/plays tonnes of 3S), the people porting it had considered unfucking all the godawful balance problems that plague 3S and make OE a "4th Strike" game. No more meter gain on whiff, no more 2 stocks of Chun's SA2, no more 12 being unplayable, etc. I don't think anyone has a problem with this, but the people who screeched the loudest were the "arcade perfect" fags who enjoy their roster of viable characters ending at Oro.

Tournaments are cool. It's a shame they must all be populated by tournament players.

I'm mostly miffed because I probably prefer Savior 2; that version swaps out Sasquatch, Talbain and Rikuo with Pyron, Donovan and Huitzil. Pyron is crap, Huitzil is basically a new character as usual and Donovan as a few new moves that are a lot of fun and if I'm not mistaken it also changes some other characters, I don't remember specifics but I recall I preferred Savior 2's version of Victor. And there's also Hunter 2, it's a very confusing mess.

DC port and later the PSP one not only has all the characters, it even lets you pick a version like the ISMs in SFA3 allowing for things like a Vampire-style B.B. Hood with motions instead of charges.

Because their EX characters were the only ones to ever reach an international audience, plus the EX characters had more established stories to work into a new game. They've made the game out of their own pocket, it makes more sense from a business perspective to work on characters that have had far more international recognition than characters that only appeared in a single japanese only arcade game.

Bamco most likely just handled the distribution of the arcade release like how SNK did it for 3rd party games on the Neo Geo. Even the credits just point namco purely being in a distribution role, they're only mentioned in the special thanks and distribution portion at the end.

So far, still planned for KOFXIV from the X-Kira stuff discovered in the game. Mary, Oswald, Heidern, Jubei, Hinako and Shingo were found and three of those ended up as DLC this year along with Najd who was conceived months after the revealed stuff. If you guys are talking about the SF30th, it's just because it's a lot cheaper to use their own CPSI~III emulator and load ROMs than porting those PS2 or PSP games with online features. Simple as that. The "didn't want to trigger the arcade fidelity fags" is just a PR stunt to justify their cheapness and they even got exposed in that front since an emulator is still not the same thing as the arcade experience. As for 3SOE, IronGalaxy fucked up in some ways since they based their port in the DC release instead of the original arcade ROM and many bugs/QoL issues at launch. Since they struggled so much to just port the game and took almost 2 years to patch some bugs, I hardly believe they would be competent enough to do a whole balance update without any of the original staff of 3rdStrike working there.

How is "crouch forward" (meaning 2MK) more intuitive than "four ess" to refer to a command normal? If I were commentating an SFIV tournament and the Abel player did his 6MK6 normal into dash, should I describe it as "forward forward forward?" Because that's what SF notation is, and it's the "default" to many people.

Saying "medium punch" is hardly better because it's so clunky and many SF players still use the old terms - if you're using terms your players don't, what are you even doing?

Commentary is also about expressing ideas quickly. "two aitch ay ay" is four short syllable, whereas "crouching heavy anti-air" is six long ones. By the time I've said it, the player who landed the hit could have dropped the combo or done something else worth talking about.

I've never understood why you'd commentate a game for people who don't play it. If I'm watching a stream, I want to hear the commentators discuss things which they, presumably as professionals/knowledgeable players, would notice which I would not.

The issue here is that esport fags, even when they are good players, they still like to insert their ideas that the game must focus ONLY in balance and competitive. I doubt any of those player would care to play something like Chess Koimbat, Bonus Rounds or many editors too. That is why while they seem to be reliable sources of information, you must also be aware of their issues. And there is also the fact that professional players usually focus on only one or two types of characters, so, if your game is something crazy like Injustice or Blazblue, you might have even more issues, I think.

You're no fun anon. Ok, serious answer. There's few to no documentation about how to do those romhacks so you're basically on your own. All the KOF2002 hacks were done by chineses and (I THINK) SFIII4th Strike was done by some japanese but the project was abandoned. There was even a guy here in the general that tried to do something with KOF2003 but he ultimately gave up. I think it's easier to work with some engine like MUGEN, IKEMEN, UFE and so on.

There's nothing even remotely close here. The problem is most TOs and FGC guys here think they are like them. They don't want to attract more people to play fightans, they want to raise their e-sports shit in their own bubble.

Not really. I come from a heavy KOF background and even had some kind of competitive life during the 2002 days until XI. I played and met with Kleber Yagami and other KOF heads from SP but ironically, I know few next to no people in RJ where I live and slowly sat back until arcades completely died right after XIII was released but at the time, I mostly only played at the arcades after college and didn't enter or even followed any tournament scene anymore.

With XIV I started seeing how they were and saw how many moved on to SFV didimoKOF should ring a bell from where he came from and looked how that scene was. They are mostly "americanized" almost as if it was just a dub version of EVO commentators but with many english slangs making everything really unsetting. Even the KOF scene is depressing on how they just see themselves as lesser or even jealous of the support Capcom gives to their tournament scene compared to SNK who mostly send some shirts and merchs as prizes if you ask nicely. Just take a look at that Velberan interview with them after last TRETA. That was just sad.

I mean, I love KOF and I'm all to help people with tips and play with them. Right now me and some Dreamcancel users are trying to make the XIV run on toasters since the game is so poorly optmized >>15142599 Of course we do it in our free time but we'll at least try.

Funny since it's the only Street Figher game I actually like. SFII was too "clunky" to me at time when I could play Mortal Kombat II on the same SNES. Never got into the Alpha series custom combos and ISMs besides, the arcade machines for the VS series were right next to them so I always went to the one with Wolverine fighting Spiderman. SFIV and SFV are both clunky and fucked up really bad the SFIII characters.

As for 3rdStrike, you shouldn't care much about parries or tiers at the beginning. Yeah, high level you'll only see the same Chun, Yun, Makoto, Ken and the ocasional Dudley/Urien but it'll need a ton of dedication before you can get there. It's fast paced and highly techinical with different types of characters but still ground based instead of anime oriented. It can be so satisfiying to land what you actually trained.

I really like that game and I still regularly play but it's not without faults. Yeah they did all that but also they kept the stepbacks from XIII like absence of special intros during versus matches (besides two or three) and if I complained about how "tacked on" taunts were in XIII with mostly reused animation, XIV completely removed them. Only 4 out of the 16 teams have specific cutscenes before the boss fight and some teams like Fatal Fury are just shoved in other team's cutscenes. The DLC characters have almost to no story besides few intros that leaves some things implied like Whip and Vanessa chasing Yamazaki. That wouldn't be a problem for old characters but Najd is completely new and doesn't have anything for her besides her profile on the webpage. I mean, I would be fine with just a few special artworks for endings like they did in XI and have in XIV for certain combinations. Could even be fanarts like Blazblue and Skullgirls did in their games.

That said, I still wish they could patch a few of little things into XIV like a option to switch the character select CGs with 2D art, ideally the same with the win screen, make a transition to 2D once the pose freezes like in Persona 5. The abundance of art assets is just something I sorely miss from FGs, part of why Darkstalkers is my favorite in the genre.

Not exactly. XII was made to earn a few bucks to finance what would be XIII. That game ended being really expensive and the reports from ex-devs for the console ports were a nightmare even by your typical japanese working conditions. As I showed in the last post, the best games in the series managed to add plenty of new characters, with completely new fighting styles without sacrificing the ones that existed. The more I see this new SC 6 the more I can only see a cash grab and not a game that looks as good as the first four in the franchise.

Well, both BBTAG and DBFZ are new games and both Smash games have actually less entrants than before. Tekken is the impressive one here but we'll have SoulCalibur VI next year so I expect so I guess this will be the peak of that game. Well 2002UM have 4 playable Kyos, one alternate version for each of the Orochi trio along with the same for Robert, Takuma, Kensou and Geese both Boss-tier so not elegible to serious play. For DBFZ, technically, only SSJ, Blue and now the regular one can be considered clones since Black and Bardock have all different stances, normals, specials Black's Kamehameha is just as different as Kuririn and Yamcha and supers. They do have some variety by being based on KOF with said characters but they are filled with infinites and so many broken stuff that makes '97 look balanced. Never played Pocket Rumble for being in Early Access but it looks finished missing only one character, right? For the "direction + button" type of fighters I guess I'm more interested in TRAF and SNK Heroines. Fantasy Strike is just plain boring.

Well, I started my "journey" with Mortal Kombat 2 but I only got more "serious" with KOF98 because of the arcade culture of "win or pay another coin". Maybe oldschool games are too much for the new generation but I'll always recommend KOF98 as a good 2D fightan starter XIV is the most beginner friendly though. Samurai Shodown is another simple fighter where a precision is much more important than memorizing a string of inputs. But in the end, it's all about how much you like said game.

I have a friend who is just a casual at the genre. To him, fighting games where just like party games. But he's a big Dragon Ball fan so when FighterZ was released, he bought and actually took his time to learn with a bit of my help to where find info to improve himself. Now even if he's no tierfag, he plays Vegetto/#21/Kid Buu because he like those characters and have fun playing the game.

Wasn't some of these fixed in the new release?

I wish they had done a SC 3 online, so we could have the Arcade balances with the PS2 additions. But it never happened.

Indeed it had plenty of different versions, but, first, they were not DLC, and second, they came from many different games, not from the cartoon missing moves that would be add to a new version later for reasons. And 2002 was a "side game" not a new series of games. They should had waited to do this in the second or third game.

Well, both MK X and Injustice 2 had plenty ox exclusive dialogue for the intros, very unique ones. MvsC 3 also had some special intro and outro dialogues but that was it. Seems like a dying art I guess.

Why not indeed but it çikely won't happen, if you look at the very first reveals (Sophitia and Mitsurugi) it seems they changed their minds mid-process, those two look very similar to their original counterparts but right after that they went for the overdone tackiness of SC4-5 and it's been like that since.

Part of the problem is the armor break feature because it seems to be the thing making them have the characters bloated with needless details. Personally, I think the feature as is is a bad idea, IMHO it would have been better to give each character a unique breakable part or two, like Mitsurugi losing his shoulder pad or Sophitia having her hair undone and the strings on her top cut. That way they could have kept the designs simple and avoid dumb shit like blowing up Nightmare's pants.

Unless it's a rerererererererelease, it won't happen because a) it's not a cashcow and b) quite simply, they can't pull it off. It's esports haram and they can't sell alternate costumes because most character move sets are intrinsically connected to their appearance. It's also no feasible in its totality - the characters that appear in Marvel 3 were the simplest to translate into 3D and even then were missing shitloads of details from the original games.
