But more importantly, if you want to go full drawfag, make sure to practice the basics; construction, anatomy, volume. Learn to see 2D drawings as 3D objects.
Drop any notion of 'style'. Style comes naturally, but will hinder you if you focus on it. Practice from reference, at least an hour a day. Find a site that has timed naked pose references, and use that too.
It's fun to draw the things you want to draw, like cute Vivians, but if you don't practice the basics every day you'll just get frustrated as to why you're not improving.

the thing about digital is that its a big learning curve even if you're a good hotshot analog artist (for example: the sudden drop in quality of the berserk manga when miura switched to digital inks). lotta newbies get discouraged by it. its not just learning to draw but learning the quirks of the tools you work with. it takes a while. a long while. i've been at it for years and i'm still learning things myself. just keep at it and you'll be fine. remember to practice your fundies.

It's great if you can get good at pencil and inking on real paper. You get good at that and it looks fantastic.
Personally I prefer tablets though, because I used to have a problem thinking paper was too precious. It's a real thing taking up real space, it was hard to draw on it in case I made a mistake, it felt wasteful, and it aided in that blank canvas syndrome I had. With digital it's just data, it doesn't matter. You can have as many layers as you want in photoshop. And you can just undo something if it's wrong. It felt good not to worry about paper, for me at least.
I do envy people who are good at real inking though, digital inking rarely looks as good.
