No.87899
I recently had a long chat with my aunt, who has been struggling with advanced macular degeneration for several years. She mentioned that reading, watching TV, and even recognizing faces has become really difficult, and it’s starting to affect her independence. While discussing her options, someone suggested that there are specific programs designed to help people in her situation regain part of their vision or at least make daily tasks easier. I had no idea such programs existed, and it got me curious. I started searching online, but there’s so much medical terminology and fragmented information that it’s hard to understand what is actually available. I’m hoping someone here can share reliable resources or explain what kind of programs can help people with severe AMD regain some functional vision.
