Lately, my car started shifting gears a bit roughly, especially when going from 2nd to 3rd. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s definitely noticeable. A buddy of mine said it might be the transmission fluid or something more serious. I haven’t done any transmission service since I bought the car three years ago, so I’m starting to think maybe it’s overdue. How do you know when it’s time to get it checked, and what’s the usual maintenance interval for transmission service?

I had a similar issue a while ago — my car hesitated when shifting, and then one day the Check engine light came on. I took it to https://www.vip-servicecenter.com/ where they explained that dirty or low transmission fluid can cause all sorts of shifting problems. They flushed the system and checked for leaks, and honestly, it made a huge difference. Now I try to get the fluid replaced every 30,000–40,000 miles just to avoid any surprises.

Interesting topic! I always thought transmission issues only happen with old cars, but I’ve seen newer ones have problems too if they’re not serviced regularly. It’s one of those parts people don’t think about until it’s too late. Preventive maintenance definitely saves money in the long run.
