I am deeply concerned about the future of technology, studies say that Nano-bots could be living inside the human body as soon as 2030, microscopic robots that can be remote controlled by whatever corporation manufactured them living inside of your own body. You may make the argument "just don't sign up for getting Nanobots injected into your body" but what happens when these bots are engineered to be airborne, now consent is no longer required and everyone can be infected. The flu virus have proved to us that a microscopic airborne organism can enter the body without detection (you only know you have the flu once you start experiencing an elevated temperature, cough, runny nose etc), the Cordycep fungus have proven to us that organisms can take full control of the brain and muscles of another organism. What if both of these traits were to combine? I believe this is the future of nano bots. Think of all the incentives governments and corporations would have to deploy these bots to enslave us all, we would no longer demand wages, we would no longer show hostility towards them, we wouldn't even have the ability to negotiate these things with them or any other things as they could just tell the nano bots to switch those parts of our brains off, reducing us to oversized worker ants, deaf, dumb and blind but are still able to work for our masters. The largest reason why such technologies would come into existence is simply because they theoretically can, we live in a world where there is next to no regulation on the development of technology, this oversight has given us the mustard gas, nerve agents, the atom bomb, and will give us intelligent AI and nanobots. I am convinced that the tensions surrounding race, sexuality, gender, the wars in Ukraine and Palestine, are all "bread and circuses" designed by the higher ups to distract us from what they are developing because they know we would oppose their plans were we awake to see it. I am not saying that these problems are not serious because they are, i am instead saying the future of technology is more problematic than all of our current predicaments as it spells the demise of all that lives on this planet. Technology has the ability to do absolutely anything so long as scientific laws are not broken, this may include positives like the curing of diseases, the enabling of the disabled, the ability to terraform planets and many others. But it also includes negatives like enslavement, torture and death. people talk about the Fermi-paradox and ponder to themselves "how could the universe be so big and contain so many habitable planets but there is no sign of life anywhere except on earth" i may have your answer, if a planet can sustain life it eventually will (such as earth), among these life forms one of them will eventually gain sentience and hyper intelligence (such as human beings), these sentient intelligent life forms will discover fire, tools, the wheel, agriculture, industrialization, electricity, digitization (such as us in the present day) but they will take it further and invest time and effort into harmful technologies that will end up wiping them out. This will be our future, earth will join the rest of the empty sterile exoplanets, and maybe some other stupid naive alien species across the universe will look upon it and think "why has life never existed here?, earth seems like the perfect place for life?". I feel like I'm the only person that is aware of this, but know so do you, please spread the word, please protest against this, technological progress must end now.
