HP and other American manufacturers of equipment are irrelevant because they sent all their manufacturing capacity to China 20 years ago. There will be new American manufacturing companies after this current government collapses under the weight of its own lies and debt.

From what I saw, their laptops are WAY more expensive than Lenovo's or even Dell's.

HP, Dell, Apple, and many other American manufacturers still make shit in the USA, retard. Just not cheap consumer shit. Apples several thousand dollar Mac Pros are made in Texas for example. Even Samsung has a chip fab in the USA making memory. For high end applications that don't require high volume manufacturing companies still go for the USA

I use to like Compaq and HP printers. The software they pre-install on their machines is enough reason to hate them.

My girlfriend has an HP Spectre, and I've had to replace the power connector 2 times in the past 3 years because of shit design. It's not a simple fix, it's a pain in the ass

MacPros are being moved to China again. They can't pay US workers enough to give monitor stands away for the low low price of $1,000.

Source? If Apple really is doing that then it makes no sense on paper, Mac Pros aren't made in the same volumes as their other products so they have little to gain from outsourcing to have them shipped to its larger customers anyways. I don't run Apple logistics though so maybe I'm wrong. I recall Tim Cook saying he'd move all manufacturing back to the USA if he could but the problem is that the USA lacks the same massive employment pools as China. He probably also meant American working wages are too high compared to China as well

>In the middle of a trade war
>With increased tarrifs
>Amid slowing market share in China
>In the middle of hiring new people to a new facility just down the road from the original manufacturing plant
<"Lets move manufacturing of our most expensive small volume product overseas to subject it to trade tarrifs since most of them will have to be shipped back to their core markets!"
Well Apple never was known for making good decisions

HP's UNIX Market is a zombie, and the only thing they're quasi-good at now is mainframe and printers. Their PC line is retarded

Mac Pro is a forcememe device and the important parts, the CPU, GPU and screen, aren't made by Apple, and most of them not in America. The only reason Tim Cook is moving manufacturing to China is he's gay and hates Trump. American high tech manufacturing, and the software industry, were destroyed not because it's actually cheaper or more effective to do it overseas but so the managers can say I have an international team of 40 highly credentialed people instead of having a team of 4 competent people who would compete with the manager for recognition.
