Let me be real, I'm a neet and I don't know anything about surviving outside. I don't trust no one so I have no friend to turn to, and since I'm what you'd call a robot family is off the market too. I probably ain't gonna make it but at least I have no major addiction except computer which gonna be resolved by itself. I'm looking for some advices to live outside on my own. And more specifically about shelters, I have a condition that makes me feeling sick for hours at random days, I can move but I've barely have energy, it would be painful so I'd rather just stay somewhere safe for a day, it's usually what it take for me to get back up. Which is one of the reason why I'm a neet and not under employment.

Tl;dr:

So I know there aren't big fat chances someone here knows that kind of stuff but if you have any idea about how to survive in peace outside ? Like where to go for a shelter in middle of nothing to just gather strength ?

I'd rather not end up as a city bum for too long, I know it will come to this at some point even if just for food, but I don't like the city.

Somehow I feel like I knew this fucking day would come.

4ch's /out/ and /k/ boards have some good infographics floating around. But here's some of my thoughts.

I recommend you avoid cities unless you want to get beaten by junkies and nignogs. Hide your cash somewhere that it couldn't be easily picked off of your person should a ne'erdowell happen upon you while you're asleep. You're going to want a backpack, a knife, and a way to start fires. Always travel lightly. Get a water bottle with a filter so you can make usage of public fountains. Carbs are great energy for long walks. Luckily for you prepackaged food has never been cheaper. Basically every smartphone in existence now has a GPS in it. Get a portable solar panel USB charger. If you have any money to your name I recommend you purchase a decent pair ($200 minimum) of hiking boots before you have to hit the road. Whatever area you might find yourself in will probably have some manner of handouts for homeless.

Think of this time as a blessing, anon. You get to go wherever you want and exist outside the world of normies. To be honest I am jealous of your situation as I have oft daydreamed about leaving it all behind and wandering off into the wilderness.

That's some good thinking thanks for the reply. Really don't know how to make a fire apart from how a fire works (oxygen + energy + combustible) so I'll look into that first. But if I have got to go out I wanna go off the grid so I don't care about the smartphone.

I'll keep lurking as long as I can but since you've been good to me let me tell you that; your fantasy will not disappear. You are unsatisfied with your current lifestyle and even if you make progress and the feeling fade out a little, it will never completely stop. As least not if you're as lucky as me.

Do something for yourself.

Guess I'm off buying the most expensive pair of shoes of my life.
