to be honest, parts of 8chin always sucked.
but man, during GG, fresh bread every 6 hours, happenings and wins,
but all the non gg boards were great and active and it felt like a real exodus that had founded some kind of New Atlantis. HWNDU was awesome fun, cheers to the NYC milk drinkers, Mark, S. Hyde, the Liverpool's closed, the triangulators. 8chan felt like America to 4chan's britain. We were rivals and had fundamental disagreements but also worked together.
tears in the rain. that group fragmented after the site was shut down and it was hard to get everyone back together. V and TG and TV maybe went to .moe I don't know, others probably do
8chan was the cream of 4chan. Was it Time magazine who said, "Too Extreme for 4chan" in regard to 8chan?
There is definitely a movie to be made of the story.
Ricky Berwick as ol Ostegenia Imperfecta Navigator,
steve buscemi as B. Wu(not even a dig, Buscemi has the range to do the role justice.)
Bobby Lee as Mr. Wu(playing the role straight ala A. Sandler in Punch Drunk Love),
Jesse Eisenberg as Moot(physical similarities but also range) , Amber Heard as Z. Q.(easier for audience to accept character actions given actor's past plus attractiveness of actor makes other character's action more believable)
Ice T and Richard Belzer as Popular TV Show Detectives. (Ice T can ever make a joke about Belzer trying to rush to a buffet while they are on a case, "Who are you Detective Munch? We got a witness to question before we can eat. If you didn't spend so much time treating your glaucomo maybe you could twenty minutes without eating.")
The cast of Workaholics as the game journos.
Giovanni Ribisi as David Pakman
Ryan Gosling as "Red Anon"
Chris Hemsworth as "GG poster 1"
Adam Baldwin as Adam Baldwin
