Turned 30 today /b/, living at home.
I dont have any friends who dont live with a gf/roommate, i seriously dont know how you can afford to get your own house. I cant afford to house and take care of myself, let alone a wife, let alone a wife and kids. I've saved almost $80,000 and was making $40k/year before martial law took my job. I know theres many others in my same boat, but seriously, im 30. Wtf?

SD, i just heard has 4% sales tax, no income tax, no property tax, no corporate tax.
no urban poor to support.
no idea of job prospects.
70k plus could buy some wood land in a rural ara. you pick what laws you like, buy a parcel of woodland that has good water for a well and boot strap your way to a house. if you could buy land for say 20k and then buy a sawmill for 5-8k, a chainsaw, axe, machete, sleepingbag, tent, water collection/purification and a few cases of MREs I think you could do a lot with what you already have.
costs are getting home for holidays/funerals
and internet connection could be an issue. but 8kun isnt much bandwidth and rural areas are getting high speed.
it is a big life change but ny resident are going to be carrying the people who cant work.
