was. Accompanied by organ music and over acting we can connect the terms. The "Soaps" quickly took over such shows as Burns and Gracie, and other "staples' of radio. IN 1988 The Simpsons were a 2-3 minute "reprieve" featured on Fox's Tracy Ullman and soon took over the sketch comedy shows like MAD TV.
