anybody here that likes to play obscure games?

i used to play alot of very obscure and unknown games made by amateurs when i was a child, like there was this game called EWOK, it was a jump n run game whose graphics for the most part were made in ms paint and on klik n play, pic related. there is also this mmorpg called "graalonline" an mmorpg made in 1999 i think that pretty much made my whole childhood, the servers are pretty much player-run. it had many different servers, each on was its own game pretty much. it didnt have many players though, the largest server had like 100 players at its peak 10 years ago.

does anybody else know games that were made about atleast 15 years ago, by amateurs and are pretty much forgotten? i think these are the ultimate comfy exp

If you decide to try axoru, be aware of funny but annoying parser bugs. Maybe I should compile a list, if I'm ever in the mood.

>Graal

Fuck wasn't that originally a Zelda clone until they got in trouble so they just made it it's own thing? I remember hearing about it fucking ages ago

Yeah my dad sometimes picked up the most random shit from his department store job. I played one of those "100 in one" games back when you basically had to live with what you were given. For some fucking reason I still remember the names of two of the better games: Cheesy Pursuit and Pimento Wars.

But even before then I had an Amiga, and my dad knew how to pirate shit, so we had maybe 100 random Amiga games that nobody here has probably ever played. A lot of them stick in my mind because there were some hugely ambitious games on that platform which were basically precursors to the huge open world games we play today. Back then a lot of devs knew what they wanted, they just didn't have the hardware to make it happen

I also had a friend who lived across the road. I envied him so much because his parents pirated PS1 games and he's get a fucking new game every week, whereas I was lucky to get a couple games for Christmas. We used to play Word Rescue a lot together. I thought the environments in that game were pretty comfy

>Stunt Car racer.

I had that on the C64. Was gud.

Unfortunately it wasn't playable with a friend's SuperCPU-- it ran okay, and you got >60 fps.. but the physics of the game thought it was still running at 1 MHz.
