One of my favourite memories being a young teenager exploring the outside world on my own (i.e: going for walks to get out of the house), was discovering a local who was selling his own honey from the driveway.
The honey was unique, in a good way. It had 'contaminants' from the bees collecting from gardens, giving it a very slightly bitter taste (and probably very slightly poisonous..) It was /perfect/ for making Hot Milk + Honey with-- by comparison, Store-bought honey in hot milk tasted sweet, but otherwise had no flavour.
Boomer Pro-tip to the Younger Generations: buy honey from amateur apiarists and make hot-milk+honey with it, never do that with the supermarket crap.
