The whole point of right vs left, splitting people down the middle, is so they won't unite and attack the actual powers that be. This is easily thought of, the notion that it's all to placate the ignorant masses, but when they don't get their way tot the point they are okay with hating the other side so much they will risk actual war with them despite being equal in size, then the game gets more complicated so they no longer can even tell who was even on their side to begin with, so no army ever rises up due to the blurred ethics.

Also, the joker is a blatant anarchist, a libertarian. He's neither left nor right.

What i think is happening is the system is failing.

When that happens there will be violence and chaos.
