There are different vtubers for whatever you're into, but I really only watch the comedians and the singers, rather than fall into the weirdly sexual side of it all (like ASMR).
And yeah, most vtubers are Japanese or chinese, but English vtubers are on the rise. I can understand a fair bit of Japanese, so I can usually make out bits and pieces of what they're saying, but Chinese is just absolutely fucked, so for my Chinese waifus, I rely on the many channels on YouTube that upload translations of moments from the girls streams.

gold mark, not papiermark, i.e. the currency Germany used before leaving the gold standard and devaluing it to fund the war

See above. The reason why it got devalued was because the government printed more money to buy foreign currency to pay back the debt. If you give government control of the printing press (the central bank) then they WILL abuse it eventually, thats the reason why most central banks are independent and why inflation rates are so much lower nowadays
