Can you imagine being in 100% control of something and then complaining about it, activly blamming others and going on about how "Oh it was such a love letter to 8ch (generic shitty website just like all the other futaba imageboards) I did this all for the good of the people! I tried to save them! Oh I blush for them so!"

I told Josh a million times how to easily fix things, I know he read my posts I know he did. Josh seriously couldn't stop the initial 2 people trying to actively ruin the site. TWO PEOPLE. It's embarrassing. you can't stop two people from attacking your site, you yourself say that's what they're doing and what do you expect when you just let them roam free and leave the website for weeks and then come back and SHOCKED that it's all turned to cancer.

1. Delete the overboard (this is most important) Because the overboard is the main focus of the website and it turns the whole site into one giant /b/ board. You can bring back the overboard eventually in the future and tuck it away like 8kun but it needs to be deleted for now so people have to actually go look and find the boards they actually want to use.

2. Give BO's better ways to stop shitposters, they can't even block tor users, and they need way more optional abilities beyond that, because as it is one person can walk right in and absolutely decimate things if they want and I saw this happen. And it kills the motivation of the BO.

3.Delete /b/ and let whoever gets the letter first have it. The only official board should be the meta one if that. I would also personally say don't allow pure random boards at all but that's just my own thing.

4. Stop reserving board names. In the end what was the point of that, yeah just reserve all the good board names and only officially release /b/? of all the boards /b/ is the most important? and then the whole site turns to the worst of /b/ and you're surprised? Let people claim whatever board letter and if a board doesn't get used in such and such time someone else can claim it.

There's many other points but I'm writing them and, well whats' the point of writing this, no one cares, no one listens. In fact they'll argue against thesimple basic facts and 9chan and every other social media garbage place on the cyber hell hole desert will continue to tumble tumble. The point is, all Josh had to do was actually try if he really cared, but of course clearly he didn't and I don't blame him he's clearly done with the internet has his real friends and whatever.

This. I think I'm starting to see the reason why the altchans are losing to 4chan. The overboard feature alone while convenient is a double edged knife that rids of the element of surprise from the other boards and rids of their point.

I'm convinced 9chan was poorly managed from the start. Had Josh been serious about this, 9chan could had been a worthy successor to 8chan/8kun. Unfortunately it dropped the ball hard and whether it'll come back in due time or not is left to be seen.

Very poorly managed, Josh just didn't care enough when he faced the smallest amount of trouble, in the first few days he did, he fixed the mass spamming problem eventually which was easy really. He acts as if other image boards haven't faced and fought the exact same issues that he did. The shutdown message is one of the most pathetic baby-time whimperings of a dimwit I've ever read. It's perfectly understandable that he doesn't want to try to make things good and wants to give up, that's fine he's nearing his 30s. But the complaining. It's insulting to the people who tried to put some quality forward, which was the less vocal majority, and were met with all these problems that Josh would not fix and he left the site for weeks doing nothing and now this is what he has to say. The other boards, what little use they got, were fine. But no one is going to use them when you have this setup.

I don't care about /b/ culture shitposting if it's on /b/, that's great. Ban these kids who are posting the same images trying to make a name for themselves, every goddamn proxy they use if it takes days before they give up. If you have to force more verification I don't know. You let it get this bad in the first place. Give me a break with this "I don't have the budget and tools to solve these issues that every other image board solves" that's all on you.

Have you seen the state of the other image boards, you should have studied them well. Have you seen the kind of people posting on 4chan and 8ch for years now. You're naming your website 9chan for whatever reason, I don't know why you'd want to be associated with these other places but apparently you do out of some weird nostalgia for early 8ch. Call your website literally anything creative, but you didn't, you made 9chan and you made a /b/ - random board and you just did everything that every other futaba image board does, you have to do something different, and you have to reach out to different people because there is nothing left of the 4chan circle, it's finished and everyone's known that for years. How did Josh not know that.

That's it! I don't want to say anymore, it's just so depressing and I really don't even care about this stuff, but I do care about the social internet being reborn and someone at least trying to make the promise lands. And I'm really probably too optimistic, if you focused on quality for a social website, no one would come. There are no goodpostrers, so just let everything be either dead or terrible because the kids love it that way anyways and adults should be in the real world doing whatever one should do.
