Tor is a low-latency anonymity network. The downloads/uploads with Tor are just as fast as using the clearnet or a normal web browser (like Firefox), meaning Tor does NOT slow down your Internet connection. Meaning Tor is just an illusion of privacy/anonymity. Using Whonix might offer a bit more anonymity/privacy than Tor, but again it isn't that difficult for a three-letter agency to track down/trace. In my opinion, Whonix offers the best anonymity/privacy, but then again, it can get compromised fairly easily by law enforcement agencies.

I fail to understand why people still think Tor is relevant for anonymity in any shape or form in the great '26. It isnt. It hasnt been for ten fucking years. Some of the biggest hackers and criminals in town are using the clearnet because it provides more network level anonymity than Tor. Literal murderers, like cartel executioners, use messenger apps to coordinate crime. Pedos use fucking discord.

It is, in fact, common knowledge that agencies such as government agencies are able to break Tor's anonymity

No dude. They literally read your network's or vpn's packets, make a profile on you and trace your loco. They're gonna do this to millions of people in 2029 after the first supercomputers are built.
