The only thing is, don't ever let the liquor have full control over you, you do need to know when to cut it off. The liquor is a doubled edge sword. It is a powerful and a dangerous drug. Use it with absolute caution. Have fun with it, but do not let it consume your life! That's the risk all drinkers need to be aware of, it has made many lives much more fun as it has harming and killing people as well. It can be your friend, and it can stab you right in the back with no remorse if you are not careful. Knowing your own threshold & limits is key. There are two types of alcoholics: functional alcoholics and non-functional alcoholics.
I myself am a functional alcoholic. I drink about every other night, and lots of booze when I do.... but I know when to cut it off, or when my body is saying "enough already!" If I start to feel like absolute shit, I stop and give my body a break for a couple days before I'll indulge again.
The non-functional ones tend to need it and drink every single day, some even in the mornings. They're the ones that get so frail and weak they can hardly work or get by in life. Most end up bums, or end up on skid row at some point. The rest are forced to reform themselves, or they end up dead from serious health problems.
