Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has revealed he manages stress through a strict diet and exercise regime as well as quirky lifestyle habits like hours of meditation each day.

The 42-year-old's only daily meal is dinner, but he won't eat at all on weekends, he has ditched warm showers altogether and he walks the distance between his home and the social media HQ in an effort to make sure his mind stays sharp.

Dorsey – whose net worth is $5.3billion – claims the routine makes his days feel longer and says he's able to switch off to get ample sleep every night

The tech boss, who is also the co-founder of Square, often posts moments from his day on his microblogging website profile but he shared more details in a March 15 podcast with Ben Greenfield Fitness.

'During the day, I feel so much more focused. … You have this very focused point of mind in terms of this drive,' Dorsey said about having his only meal between 6.30pm and 9pm.

Dorsey usually enjoys fish, chicken, or steak with a salad or a side of vegetables and has berries or dark chocolate for dessert.

The single man – who says he wants to have a family at some point and is trying to experiment with what has the best impact before he does - will allow himself red wine on occasion but notes it interrupts his sleep if he has too much.

But he ditches food altogether for two days of the week and reintroduces calories into his diet with bone broth to prepare for the new week.

'I'll go from Friday 'til Sunday. I won't have dinner on Friday. I won't have dinner or any meal on Saturday. And the first time I'll eat will be Sunday evening. I've done that three times now where I do [an] extended fast where I'm just drinking water,' Dorsey revealed.

'The first time I did it, like day three, I felt like I was hallucinating. It was a weird state to be in. But as I did it the next two times, it just became so apparent to me how much of our days are centered around meals and how — the experience I had was when I was fasting for much longer, how time really slowed down.'

He said the only supplements he takes are 'a multivitamin and a lot of vitamin C' at dinnertime and he first heard about the idea on a Wim Hof podcast two years ago.

'The time back from breakfast and lunch allowed me to focus more on what my day is,' he continued. 'I can go to bed and actually knock out in 10 minutes, if not sooner than that. It really changed how quickly I felt asleep and more so how deep I felt I was sleeping.'

Despite access to the top fitness experts being a possibility, Dorsey simply does seven minutes of exercise per day using the Seven app.

'I don't have a personal trainer. I don't go to a gym,' he admits.

But he gets additional exercise in by walking briskly for an hour and 15 minutes every day to work, allowing him to soak up some vitamin D through sun rays.

He added: 'I might look a little bit more like I'm jogging than I'm walking. It's refreshing … It's just this one of those take-back moments where you're like, 'Wow, I'm alive!''

Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar is facing backlash after her speech at a Muslim rights group’s event in which she described the September 11, 2001 terror attacks as “some people did something.”

Omar spoke at a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser last month, where she called upon other Muslim Americans to “make people uncomfortable” with their activism and presence in the society and criticized the Jewish state.

BREAKING: White House To TARGET Illegal Alien Money Transfers Out of U.S.

The White House is planning on targeting the tens of billions of dollars in “remittance payments” sent by illegal immigrants back to their home countries, in the wake of an ongoing migrant flood at the U.S. Southern border, a senior administration official told reporters Tuesday.

The plans to target remittance payments come amid a broader shakeup at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and future executive actions designed to curb illegal immigration. The situation at the southern border has escalated in recent weeks, with thousands of migrants arriving daily to claim asylum.

Officials say the illegal arrivals are spurred by loopholes in U.S. immigration law that allow family units claiming asylum to arrive illegally and still be released into the interior of the country with a work permit.

The migrants are then given a court date at some point in the future to adjudicate the asylum claim, with the vast majority failing to ultimately get a favorable asylum ruling. These migrants rarely show up for deportation, with the senior administration official calling the practice “backdoor illegal immigration.”

Potential plans against remittances could follow one or all of anti-illegal immigration group BorderPAC‘s recomendations:

15-25% tax on all cash remittances to targeted countries

Ban on any remittances to Mexico, other nations, if sender cannot prove they are a U.S. citizen or legal resident

Temporary halt to all remittances to Mexico until that government halts caravans and enforces border controls to U.S.

The White House plan to go after remittance payments falls in line with a proposal from former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who is being considered to replace outgoing DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.

Kobach told Breitbart News on Tuesday that this will be an effective way for President Donald Trump to compel the Mexican government to take more enforcement action against Central Americans trafficking through their country.

Kobach told Breitbart:

“The threat I propose is one that actually helps us if we follow through on it. That is the threat of ending remittances from the majority of people in the United States from Mexico who are here illegally,” adding “they don’t want to risk losing that massive flow of foreign capital. In most years, it’s their second biggest source of foreign capital.”

How big is this flow? A stunning $30 billion annually to Mexico ALONE…

Mexico received the most, at a record $30 billion in 2018….and the three Northern Triangle nations targeted by President Trump’s funding threat over illegal immigration, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, received over $16 billion, according to an analysis by the Pew Research Center.

I spoke with a Senate staffer who said he is “stunned” that Trump is going after these cash outflows, and that is “signals a major hardening of enforcement” in the wake of his shakeup at DHS.

Moments after Warner Bros. Pictures announced that they would seek legal action against Donald Trump for his use of music from 'Dark Knight Rises,' Twitter removed the media from his tweet.

Soon after President Trump's tweet went live at around 4.45pm, Warner Brothers Pictures released a statement saying that they would file a copyright infringement suit against the White House.

'The use of Warner Bros.' score from 'The Dark Knight Rises' in the campaign video was unauthorized,' a Warner Brothers spokesperson said in a statement obtained by NBC News.

We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed.'

The video has since been removed from YouTube and Reddit channels, as well.

The campaign video featured Hans Zimmer's 'Why Do We Fall?' which was a highlighted song for the third-installment in the series.

Breaking Report: Western Journal Blacklisted by Google, Despite CEO’s Testimony to Congress

Google reportedly blacklists news sites by manipulating search results, contrary to congressional testimony offered by the tech giant’s CEO in December.

Among the conservative sites Google has blacklisted, according to The Daily Caller, is the Conservative Tribune, which is the commentary page for The Western Journal.

“The purpose of the blacklist will be to bar the sites from surfacing in any Search feature or news product. It will not cause a demotion in the organic search results or de-index them altogether,” reads the policy document obtained by The Daily Caller.

Cross-party talks and bloc focus on proofing deal against hard-Brexit government.

In London and Brussels, in talks that could determine Britain’s future, negotiators are homing in on a common goal: how to rein in the actions of a future pro-hard Brexit British government.

The focus in discussions between the UK’s Conservative and Labour parties is on providing assurances that a new Tory prime minister does not rip up any cross-party accord on future relations with the EU.

Diplomats in Brussels are concerned with a similar issue, as the EU’s 27 other member states consider Britain’s request to delay its departure from the bloc. A big preoccupation ahead of a crucial summit on Wednesday is how to prevent a more Eurosceptic UK government from disrupting the bloc’s affairs from within.

Both sets of concerns are personified by one politician in particular: Boris Johnson, the former UK foreign secretary who led the triumphant Leave campaign in the 2016 EU referendum and who hopes to succeed Theresa May as prime minister in the near future.

Labour is worried that a prime minister Johnson could discard any agreement by Mrs May that commits the UK to closer post-Brexit relations with the EU than the UK government currently seeks.

Other EU governments — notably France — fret that if the UK is granted a lengthy delay to its Brexit date, the country could wreak havoc with decisions in the European Commission, the European Council of member states and the European Parliament, particularly if a full-blooded Eurosceptic is in Downing Street.

Although Mrs May has said she would only resign once her Brexit deal is passed by parliament, most Conservative MPs believe she will leave office in the autumn. Others believe she will have been pushed out by the summer

Mr Johnson is the favoured candidate of the party’s grassroots, according to surveys by the ConservativeHome website.

He is also the favourite in the betting markets — followed by former Brexit secretary Dominic Raab and environment secretary Michael Gove.

All three are strong Brexit proponents, and Mr Johnson and Mr Raab are fierce critics of Mrs May’s exit deal with the EU, although they voted for it in the House of Commons at the third time of asking. Hence Labour’s fear that, without strong guarantees, any deal with Mrs May might fail to last out the year.

While Labour’s negotiating team acknowledges that a future parliament could renegotiate any agreement, it wishes to ensure that the next Conservative prime minister cannot change the deal before an election.

The U.S.Department of Defense has awarded nearly $1 billion in contracts to two companies for construction related to a wall along the southern border on 9 April.

According to Pentagon’s statement, SLSCO Ltd. from Galveston, was awarded a $789 million and Barnard Construction Co. Inc. from Bozeman was awarded a $187 million contract for border replacement wall construction.

Work will be performed in Santa Teresa, New Mexico and in Yuma, Arizona. Six companies submitted bids for the first contract, with three received for the second. Both projects are expected to be completed by fall of 2020.

The companies’ contract calls for the construction and installation of “tactical infrastructure,” which includes building a reinforced concrete levee wall to the height of the existing levee; installing 18-foot-tall steel bollards on top of the concrete wall; removing vegetation within the 150-foot enforcement zone along the path of the new levee wall; building an all-weather patrol road next to the wall and the installation of “detection technology,” lighting and a video surveillance system.

This marks the first new wall construction contract under President Donald Trump’s Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements executive order, which he issued back in January 2017, almost immediately after taking office.

I grew up on a steady diet of threat inflation. Before I was born, bomber and missile “gaps” had been falsely touted as showing the Soviet Union was ahead of the U.S. in developing nuclear-capable weaponry (the reverse was true). But those lies, which vastly exaggerated Soviet capabilities, perfectly served the needs of the military-industrial complex (hereafter, the Complex) in the USA. Another example of threat inflation, common when I was a kid, was the Domino Theory, the idea that, if South Vietnam fell to communism, the entire region of Southeast Asia would fall as well, including Thailand and perhaps even countries like the Philippines. Inflating the danger of communism was always a surefire method to promote US defense spending and the interests of the Pentagon.

When I was in college, one book that opened my eyes was Andrew Cockburn’s “The Threat: Inside the Soviet Military Machine.” James Fallows’s “National Defense” was another book I read in those days, together with Helen Caldicott’s “Missile Envy.” Early in the Reagan years, I recall those old charts that displayed Soviet ICBMs as being bigger than American ICBMs, as if missile size was everything. The message was clear: the Soviets have more missiles, and they’re bigger! Yet what really mattered was the accuracy and reliability of those missiles, areas where the US had a decisive edge. US nuclear forces were also far more survivable than their Soviet counterparts, but such details were lost on most Americans.

Throughout my life, the US“defense” establishment has consistently inflated the dangers presented by foreign powers, which brings me to the current Pentagon budget for 2020, which may reach $750 billion. How to justify such an immense sum? A large dollop of threat inflation might help…

With the Islamic State allegedly defeated in Syria and other terrorist forces more nuisances than existential threats, with the Afghan War apparently winding down (only 14,000 US troops are deployed there) and with Trump professing a “love” fest with Kim Jong-un, where are today’s (and tomorrow’s) big threats? Iran isn’t enough. The only threats that seem big enough to justify colossal military spending are Russia and China. Hence the new “cold war” we keep hearing about, which drives a “requirement” for big spending on lucrative weapons systems like new aircraft carriers, new fighters and bombers, newer and better nuclear warheads and missiles, and so forth.

Which brings me to the alleged Russian collusion story involving Trump. As we now know, the Mueller Report found no collusion, but was that really the main point of the investigation and all the media hysteria? The latter succeeded in painting Vladimir Putin and the Russians as enemies in pursuit of the death of American democracy. Meanwhile Trump, who’d campaigned with some idea of a rapprochement with Russia, was driven by the investigation to take harsher stances against Russia, if only to prove he wasn’t a “Putin puppet.” The result: most Americans today see Russia as a serious threat, even though the Russians spend far less on wars and weaponry than the US does.

Threat inflation is nothing new, of course. Dwight D. Eisenhower recognized it and did his best to control it in the 1950s, but even Ike had only limited success. Other presidents, lacking Ike’s military experience and gravitas, have most frequently surrendered to the Complex. The last president who tried with some consistency to control the Complex was Jimmy Carter, but the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the Iranian hostage crisis, and his own political fortunes drove him to launch a major military buildup, which was then accelerated by Reagan until the collapse of the Soviet Union.

In the early 1990s, I briefly heard about a peace dividend and America returning to being a normal country (i.e. anti-imperial) in normal times, but ambition and greed reared their ugly heads, and US leaders became enamored with military power. …
