We need a hybrid system. One that can be shot out of some type of gun or cannot, but programmable like burst ahead ammo coupled with the ability to change coarse and make corrections like in sidewinder missiles. We need solutions for close, medium, and long range attacks and that combo has to include wings or nozzles that can be altered to chase down targets should they change their coarse. If shot from a cannon or gun the amount of energy needed to change direction under force would be minimal. We need on shot, one hit, that is the goal. This would save billions in damage and save countless lives.
