The US Attorney in Utah has given the anti-vax movement in America the greatest gift ever

Executive summary

The US Attorney in Utah issued a criminal indictment against Dr. Kirk Moore for “running a COVID-19 Vaccine Scheme to Defraud the Government and CDC.”

But what if Dr. Moore was actually saving lives instead and is a hero?

Since this is a criminal proceeding in federal court, Dr. Moore cannot be denied discovery to show that the vaccines are deadly.

This is relevant due to the opportunity for jury nullification where a jury has the right to issue a “not guilty” verdict if they believe the law is unjust.

If the judge denies Moore the discovery, he can appeal because there is no country in the world that has correlated the death-vax data and released the records for public analysis. They all keep it hidden behind closed doors and all attempts to get that data have been rebuffed.

A federal court has jurisdiction over all 50 states and can order the CDC and all states to turn over COVID vaccination records and death records. You know, the records that the states and CDC don’t want to be made public for some reason. Those records.

So Dr. Moore is now empowered to do something that nobody else in the world can do: access the secret public health records of every state in the US that will finally show to the entire world what everyone in power wants to hide from the public: the truth.

Kirk is one of my followers on Substack and I reached out to him today to suggest the records he should request to aid in his defense.

The judge can allow these records to be made public if they are in the public interest, which they will be.

Finally, it is the job of the courts to find the truth. And thanks to the US Attorney in Utah, we are finally going to find the truth!

China Stages A Second Day Of Military Exercises Around Taiwan

Bloomberg April 9, 2023

(Bloomberg) –China held a second day of military drills around Taiwan, with multiple exercises involving aircraft and ships, after the island’s president, Tsai Ing-wen, returned from a visit to the US.

Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that on Sunday it detected 58 aircraft from China’s People’s Liberation Army and nine warships near Taiwan as of midday, with 31 of the warplanes crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entering the southwestern part of the island’s air-defense identification zone.

Warships and warplanes passed over the median line in groups from the north, the center and the south of the strait, according to the statement.

The PLA said Saturday it will hold drills and patrols in airspace and waters on the north, south and east sides of Taiwan from April 8 to 10. Eastern Theater Command spokesman Senior Colonel Shi Yi said in a statement on Saturday that the drills are a “stern warning against Taiwan separatist forces’ collusion with foreign elements.” He didn’t mention Tsai’s visits to New York and Los Angeles, which included meetings with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and other US lawmakers.

“China’s drills only let the world see it destroys peace,” Taiwan’s vice premier Cheng Wen-tsan told reporters Sunday. “We don’t show weakness. We don’t evade, and we are not afraid. Our policies ensure security of territorial sea. This is our bottom line.”

In a statement late Saturday night, China’s Ministry of Defense said the PLA dispatched several conventional missile brigades, along with some army artillery brigades, under the command of the Eastern Theater. The units conducted simulated strikes on designated targets, according to the statement, with photos and video clips showing launching vehicles moving to positions and missiles being erected.

Beijing had pledged to respond to any meeting between Tsai and McCarthy, calling it a provocation that “damages China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.” The latest planned drills appear to be on a smaller scale than exercises held by China after then-US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan last year, and didn’t include any imposition of exclusive zones in its airspace and waters.

In August, China announced missile tests and military drills near Taiwan less than an hour after Pelosi landed in Taipei. The PLA also imposed six exclusive zones, banning ships and aircraft from entering.

Beijing’s latest announcement of the military exercises came after French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrapped up a three-day visit to China on Friday. Taiwan’s former leader Ma Ying-jeou also concluded on Friday a historic 12-day tour of China.

China earlier leveled largely symbolic sanctions on Taiwan’s envoy to the US, two think tanks, and the venue that hosted Tsai in California. The Taiwan leader had urged Beijing not to overreact before her departure from Los Angeles on Thursday.

Addressing the media shortly after her plane landed in Taipei on Friday, Tsai said: “We show the world that Taiwan will only be more united when facing pressure and threats. We will never give in because of suppression, and we will never stop exchanges.”

On Saturday, Tsai lauded Taiwan’s stronger relationship with the US in a joint press briefing with US House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Michael McCaul in Taipei. She said Taiwan is looking forward to advance trade ties with the US in addition to boosting security cooperation.

McCaul and his delegation had lunch with Tsai in Taipei, the last stop on their trip to the region. The US lawmakers also met with Vice President Lai Ching-te earlier this week while Tsai was flying back from Los Angeles. McCaul said the US congress is “doing everything we can” to speed up arms sales to Taiwan. “We will provide training for your military, not for war but for peace,” he said.

Live-Fire Exercises

On Friday evening, China announced that it would hold live-fire exercises in the waters off Fujian province on April 10. The shooting drills were near Pingtan, a county about 130 kilometers (81 miles) from Hsinchu city across the strait in northwestern Taiwan.

Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said in a statement Saturday that China’s incursions in recent years have threatened the regional situation, and using the Taiwan president’s trip as an excuse for drills seriously affects regional peace and stability. The ministry will be on high alert and will defend national security, it said.

Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council urged China to exercise self-restraint and not misjudge the situation by escalating tension across the strait and in the region, sabotaging cross-strait ties, according to a statement.

Joy of Cooking were one of the earliest [some say THE earliest] female-led rock bands. Formed in Berkeley in 1967 by pianist and main songwriter Toni Brown, along with folk-singing guitarist Terry Garthwaite (also known as Ruby Green), their music was an ear-catching polyrhythmic amalgam of folk, rock, jazz, blues and gospel elements driven by the duo's interweaving vocal verve atop a freewheeling, innovative three-man rhythms section. The rest of the band consisted of bass guitarist David Garthwaite (Terry's brother), drummer Fritz Kasten and percussion player Ron Wilson. Keyboard player Stevie Roseman replaced Toni Brown for a time and bass players Happy Smith and eventually Jeff Neighbor replaced David Garthwaite on bass guitar. The music was a mix of "hippy"(sic) sensibility on blues and folk roots, and the lyrics often reflected feminist or environmental themes.

Joy of Cooking recorded three albums with Capitol Records. Brown and Garthwaite had solo careers afterwards and also released albums as a duo, mostly notably "Cross Country," "Midnight Blues" is, to our ears, one of the standout cuts from that fine album recorded in Nashville.

The San Francisco Chronicle's Jon Carroll described The Joy of Cooking as "a remarkable rock and roll band, half ballads and half boogie, with a driving rhythm section fronted by two swell women, Toni Brown (a smart, crafty songwriter who could evoke sentiment without sentimentality) and Terry Garthwaite (who sings like an angel with dirty wings.)"

Rather unusually (especially for the time) the members of the band were all over thirty when they cut their first record. According to some, it is for this reason that they and Frank Sinatra veteran John Palladino to produce their first record.

i lived in the bay area for a little over 6 years and terri garthwaite was my music teacher for 2 years and i got to work with both terri and toni in terri's recording studio in her home in san geronimo and i got to meet the other joy of cooking members during reunion shows and got to help set up the music equipment. very interesting time for me musically and terri was one of my very fave music teachers and she made learning fun and almost became like a 2nd mom for me. i miss her. will never forget my years of being able to work with such a talent when i was a teen from age 16 to 18 and terri and toni were 2 of the most sweetest and talented people i ever encountered and to this very day,even at 43(soon to be 44)-they both are still very much mentors for me and still depend on my music and my training for alot of things and it just always takes me back to my years with terri and how exciting it was and how special too it was. will always have a very special place for her in my heart and in my memories.

This is the "lost duo" between The McGarrigle Sisters and the Roches. Brilliant and beautiful. Joy of Cooking was a great band that never got its due. It's good some of us remember.

BBC ‘government-funded’ Twitter tag triggers journalists

The broadcaster insists that despite being financed by a mandatory fee, it’s not state-funded

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has ignited a feud with the BBC by labeling the British broadcaster a “government funded media” organization. The BBC denies taking state money and its defenders claim that being funded by the British government differs from being funded by the British public.

Twitter applied the label to the BBC’s main account earlier this week, after slapping US broadcaster NPR with a similar tag describing it as “US state-affiliated media.” While Twitter previously reserved such labels for foreign media outlets – like RT and China’s CGTN, Musk said that applying it to NPR “seems accurate.”

NPR’s tag was changed to read “government-funded media” after an outcry from US liberals.

The BBC bristled at receiving the tag. “We are speaking to Twitter to resolve this issue as soon as possible,” the broadcaster said in a statement on Sunday. “The BBC is, and always has been, independent. We are funded by the British public through the licence fee.”

Right…. sorting is one of the top arenas in the study of algorithms.

It sounds like you are stuck with bubble sort or something akin.

Different algos work better in different scenarios….

I remember Obumer trying to "front" on this issue (no sauce) but I think he said he knew the "quick sort" (not Big O more like Big Mike).

{I bet he gets "sorted" every night!)

Anyway… I think most current linux distros employ up to date sorting algos by default (checking data set for best option).

But really… it likely doesn't even matter unless you are trying to scrape all of twitter and are measuring hours vs days.
