Lynda Zamora Wilson is a retired US Air Force officer with a PhD in Economics, an MS in Mathematics, MA in International Economics, and an MA in Education.

Political newcomer and retired Air Force Lt. Col. Lynda Zamora Wilson is taking on the district’s incumbent and a GOP leader, Minority Whip Sen. Paul Lundeen, R-Monument.

This is the first time Lundeen — who is a favorite to become Senate president if Republicans flip the chamber — has faced a primary challenge during his nearly eight-year career in the Colorado legislature. Lundeen ran unopposed in the Republican primaries for the 2014 and 2016 House elections, as well as in his most recent 2018 Senate election.

Even more surprisingly, Wilson won more votes than Lundeen during the Colorado Republican Party’s state assembly on April 9. Though both candidates received more than 30% of the votes and, therefore, made it to the ballot, Wilson secured 52% compared to Lundeen’s 48%, the Glendale Cherry Creek Chronicle reported.

This victory came less than two weeks after Wilson entered the race, while standing at a significant fundraising disadvantage. As of Friday, her campaign raised just over $870 in contributions, while Lundeen’s campaign hauled in more than $73,000, according to data from the Secretary of State’s Office.

The winner of this Republican primary will likely go on to win the general election, given the dominance of Republican voters in the district — though the GOP victor will still need to defeat Democratic candidate Arik Dougherty, who is running uncontested in his party’s primary, in November.

The primary elections in Colorado were held on June 28, 2022.

It was a big night for Lynda Zamora Wilson.

At 8:12 she held a significant lead over incumbent Paul Ledeen.

Wilson was at 15,385 votes to Lundeen’s 6,675 votes — more than twice his total!

First, it’s been alleged that the FBI developed information in 2020 about Hunter Biden’s criminal financial and related activity. It is further alleged that in August 2020, FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an assessment which was used by a FBI Headquarters(“FBI HQ”) team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease.

Senator Grassley released his letter today to the FBI stating that multiple whistleblowers have given him documentary evidence to buttress their allegations of criminal misconduct by the specific FBI personnel identified in his letter.

These two dirty cops working for dirty cop Chris Wray, Director of the FBI, have horrible track records. Thibault likely broke the Hatch Act and Auten was involved in the Russia collusion scam.

After years of digging, Auten conceded that the only material in the dossier that he could verify was information that was already publicly available, such as names, entities, and positions held by persons mentioned in the document.

Russia Will Now Help Ukrainians "Get Rid Of Regime," Lavrov Says

Russia has for the first time stated as among its ultimate war aims achieving regime change in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in Sunday remarks which were publicized Monday that Moscow will help the Ukrainian people "get rid of the regime" in Kiev.

Going into early summer, the Russian military had focused its battlefield goals on "liberating" the Donbas, but this latest Lavrov comment on removing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky represents the most expansive war aim yet.

"We are determined to help the people of eastern Ukraine to liberate themselves from the burden of this absolutely unacceptable regime," Lavrov said while meeting with Arab League officials in Egypt.

He added for emphasis, "We will certainly help the Ukrainian people to get rid of the regime, which is absolutely anti-people and anti-historical," according to The Associated Press.

Though as yet unclear if Lavrov's provocative statements represent a change in official Kremlin policy, they do represent an about-face for the Russian top diplomat, given he early on in the invasion said that Russia was not looking to depose Zelensky.

The AP's reporting notes that "His remarks contrasted with the Kremlin’s line early in the war, when it repeatedly emphasized that Russia wasn’t seeking to overthrow Zelenskyy’s government, even as Moscow’s troops closed in on Kyiv. Russia later retreated from around the capital and turned its attention to capturing the Donbas."

A week ago Lavrov announced that Moscow has expanded its war aims, as FT recorded of his prior statement:

Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday that Russia’s goals were more ambitious than Moscow had declared at the start of the war in February, when it claimed its goal was to "liberate" the eastern Donbas border region. Moscow’s war aims now extend to the provinces of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine, which are mostly occupied by Russian forces, Lavrov said.

Some political analysts in the West - the University of Chicago's John Mearsheimer foremost among them - have stated their belief that Moscow initially sought to limit operations to the East, in defense of the pro-Russian breakaway republics; however, Mearsheimer has argued that many variables have likely caused Putin to expand beyond these initial goals. Chief among the battlefield variables remains Washington and the West's continually escalating involvement, especially in weapons shipments - including longer range missile systems. Both sides keep escalating, with no signs that negotiations will happen anytime soon until something more decisive on the battlefield.

The Israeli occupation forces over the past few months have been simulating various scenarios, including a missile attack on several targets in "Israel's" maritime economic zone, Israeli media reported on Tuesday, citing senior security sources.

The sources made the revelations this morning, following statements from Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who warned the Israeli occupation against committing any provocations against Lebanon, saying there were no Israeli targets in the sea or on land that are out of the reach of the resistance's precision missiles.

"The security and military establishment in Israel raised the level of alert and preparedness in light of the issues and stalling of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel regarding the demarcation of the maritime borders, as well as accessing the Karish gas field and extracting oil from it in September," Israeli media said.

"To defend the gas fields and Israel's interests in the maritime economic zone, a multi-arm forum was formed, and it includes the Ministry of Security, the Navy, the Operations Directorate, the Northern Command, and the intelligence services to prepare for the possibility that Hezbollah tries to carry out a military or provocative operation to provoke Israel or affect gas extraction," they added.

"The head of the Operations Directorate Aharon Haliva allocated manpower and resources for the threats posed on the maritime arena and to defend Israel's economic waters," the security sources said.

90% of wheat exported via sea

Over the past few months, several maneuvers were carried out by the Navy, led by the Navy Chief of Staff, the Israeli Walla! newspaper reported. During the exercise, the various units of the IOF dealt with cruise missile attacks, precision missile attacks, and conventional missiles, the outlet added.

"In the upcoming month, a large-scale exercise is supposed to take place, simulating an extreme scenario in the maritime arena, and it will include technological enhancements."

The ships the Israeli occupation is deploying to are compatible with all the "threats" emanating from Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, and Syriam the outlet continued, clarifying that the Navy is trying to avoid all criticism regarding their readiness and preparedness, and they are saying that the Sa'ar 5 ship to "defend the Karish platform against all threats, and they will remain in the rig's vicinity for as long as they need to be."

"The Americans distracted Lebanon with negotiations while Israel explored for gas and is preparing to extract it," Sayyed Nasrallah stressed. "The United States pressured the Lebanese state into agreeing to the Hoff line, i.e., the Israeli proposal for the maritime borders."

The issue is not about Karish and Qana, Sayyed Nasrallah said. "It is about all of the oil and gas fields looted by Israel in Palestine's waters in exchange for Lebanon's rights."

CCP Intelligence Recruits US Federal Reserve Economists, Congressional Investigators Reveal

Chinese intelligence has a systematic and well-funded campaign that successfully recruits U.S. Federal Reserve System economists and others to provide sensitive financial information and data in exchange for money and other benefits, according to Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio).

“This investigation makes clear that China’s malign efforts at influence and information theft are not limited to science and technology fields. American economic and monetary policy is also being targeted by the Chinese government,” Portman, the top Republican on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC), said in a statement in conjunction with the release of a new report by congressional investigators.

The investigative report Portman made public on July 26 was prepared by the Republican staff of the Senate panel. The document updates a report on Chinese subversion in the United States released in 2019, when Portman was the committee’s chairman.

“As our investigation reveals, the Chinese government is using every tool at its disposal to infiltrate and steal valuable information. We cannot let the American taxpayer continue to unwittingly fund China’s military and economic rise, which is why our report makes strong recommendations to enhance and protect our Federal Reserve,” Portman said.

“This report shows that we cannot make any American taxpayer-funded investment in science, technology, or economic policy without including safeguarding and security protections like my proposed ‘Safeguarding American Innovation Act.‘”

While Portman’s proposal has 17 co-sponsors, including a dozen Republicans and five Democrats, the Democratic-controlled HSGAC hasn’t held a hearing or otherwise moved to consider the proposal. Sen. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) succeeded Portman as committee chairman in 2021.

“This investigation of the U.S. Federal Reserve shows how China has used a variety of tactics to recruit U.S.-based economists to provide China with knowledge and intellectual capital in exchange for monetary gain and other benefits,” the report says.

The report says Fed investigators have identified at least 13 individuals within the financial system who represent “stark examples of the ways in which the Chinese government has attempted to gain access to sensitive internal information and influence the Federal Reserve.”

The Presidential Task Force on Missing and Murdered American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN) today released a status report detailing accomplishments during its first year and outlining its strategy for the next 12 months. The President’s Executive Order (E.O.) 13898, set forth a range of tasks to be completed over the two-year life of the Task Force, with required reports at the end of each year. Attorney General William P. Barr and Secretary of the Interior David L. Bernhardt transmitted the status report to President Trump, and notably characterized these accomplishments as, “a productive first year of Task Force operations.”

In its first year, the Task Force, also known as Operation Lady Justice (OLJ), held more than 15 in-person and remote meetings with tribes, individuals and stakeholder groups, and established and convened 10 working groups to address specific mandates of the executive order, including developing protocols, solving cold cases and expanding outreach and awareness. Readouts of the sessions can be found on the Operation Lady Justice website.

“American Indians and Alaska Natives experience some of the highest rates of violence in the country, a situation that is all the more tragic in light of the generations of trauma already suffered by indigenous people,” said Attorney General Barr. “Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the unprecedented challenges it posed, the Task Force continued to progress with appropriate urgency to diagnose the symptoms of this intractable problem. They sought the help and input from tribal leaders and tribal communities to develop sustainable protocols that will lead to long-term resolutions tribal communities need and deserve.”

Ireland Investigates Alleged Discovery of 800 Babies in Sewer Tank

Grim reports that nearly 800 dead babies were discovered in the septic tank of a home run by nuns has set off a round of soul-searching in Ireland and sparked calls for accountability from government and Catholic Church officials.

Fresh research suggests that some 796 children were secretly buried in the sewage tank of the home in Tuam, County Galway, where unmarried pregnant women were sent to give birth in an attempt to preserve the country's devout Catholic image.

Officials said they were "horrified" at the discovery and said it revealed "a darker past in Ireland," a country often haunted by its history of abuse within powerful church institutions.

The home was run by nuns from the Bon Secours Sisters congregation between 1925 and 1961. It was one of the "mother and baby" homes across Ireland, similar to the Sean Ross Abbey, in Tipperary, where Philomena Lee gave her child up for adoption in a story that was this year made into the eponymous Oscar-nominated film "Philomena."

People who lived near the home said they have known about the unmarked mass grave for decades, but a fresh investigation was sparked this week after research by local historian Catherine Corless purportedly showed that of the hundreds of children who died at the home, only one was buried at a cemetery.

Speaking to the Irish Mail, which first reported her research, she also said that health board records from the 1940s said conditions at the home were dire, with children suffering malnutrition and neglect and dying at a rate four times higher than in the rest of Ireland.

China tried to build a network of informants inside the Federal Reserve system, at one point threatening to imprison a Fed economist during a trip to Shanghai unless he agreed to provide nonpublic economic data, a congressional investigation found.

The investigation by Republican staff members of the Senate’s Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs found that over a decade Fed employees were offered contracts with Chinese talent recruitment programs, which often include cash payments, and asked to provide information on the U.S. economy, interest rate changes and policies, according to a report of the findings released on Tuesday.

Ireland Investigates Alleged Discovery of 800 Babies in Sewer Tank

Grim reports that nearly 800 dead babies were discovered in the septic tank of a home run by nuns has set off a round of soul-searching in Ireland and sparked calls for accountability from government and Catholic Church officials.

Fresh research suggests that some 796 children were secretly buried in the sewage tank of the home in Tuam, County Galway, where unmarried pregnant women were sent to give birth in an attempt to preserve the country's devout Catholic image.

Officials said they were "horrified" at the discovery and said it revealed "a darker past in Ireland," a country often haunted by its history of abuse within powerful church institutions.

The home was run by nuns from the Bon Secours Sisters congregation between 1925 and 1961. It was one of the "mother and baby" homes across Ireland, similar to the Sean Ross Abbey, in Tipperary, where Philomena Lee gave her child up for adoption in a story that was this year made into the eponymous Oscar-nominated film "Philomena."

People who lived near the home said they have known about the unmarked mass grave for decades, but a fresh investigation was sparked this week after research by local historian Catherine Corless purportedly showed that of the hundreds of children who died at the home, only one was buried at a cemetery.

Speaking to the Irish Mail, which first reported her research, she also said that health board records from the 1940s said conditions at the home were dire, with children suffering malnutrition and neglect and dying at a rate four times higher than in the rest of Ireland.

Zimbabwe debuts gold coins as legal tender to battle extreme inflation

Zimbabwe has been facing crippling levels of inflation in the past decade and over the years, they have tried a number of ways to get the situation in control.

On Monday, the nation came up with their latest attempt as gold coins were launched in a bid to stabilise the economy.

These coins will be sold to the public in order to boost the local currency that has been affected seriously by the inflation, according to the statement issued by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.

It has become common practice for people in Zimbabwe to acquire US Dollars from the black market as their currency struggle, but this move can finally put a roadblock in the illegal trade in the country.

The Reserve Bank has produced 2000 coins to begin with and they were given to the commercial banks. People will be able to buy it from the authorised banks and with a number of sellers not receiving the official currency anymore, the coins can become the new modes of transaction.

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe - John Mangudya – told Associated Press that the coins were minted outside the country but they are planning to eventually create them in the country.

“The government is trying to moderate the very high demand for the US dollar because this high demand is not being matched by supply,” said Zimbabwean economist Prosper Chitambara.

“The expectation is that … there will also be moderation in terms of the depreciation of the local currency, which should have some kind of stabilising effect in terms of pricing of goods."

W.H.O. Appoints Veteran Communist Party of Britain Member to Advisory Panel

A veteran Communist Party of Britain member has been appointed chair of a World Health Organisation (W.H.O.) lead advisory group.

Professor Susan Michie, director of the Centre for Behaviour Change at University College London (UCL), will head the W.H.O.’s Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Behavioural Insights and Sciences for Health.

The Times reports the UCL academic, who is a frequent contributor on the BBC and ITV, has been a member of the Communist Party of Britain for more than 40 years.

Michie was propelled to public attention in 2021 when she said wearing masks and social distancing should continue for the “long term” to suppress the Chinese coronavirus and other diseases, as Breitbart London reported.

The academic was a member of the influential Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) at the time which advised Downing Street on how to respond to the pandemic. She said “people’s behaviour” was key in controlling the pandemic.

Michie told Channel 5, according to the Daily Telegraph: “That is the behaviour of social distancing, of when you’re indoors, making sure there’s good ventilation or if it’s not, wearing face masks, of hands and surface hygiene.

“We will need to keep this going in the long term and that will be good not only for Covid, but also to reduce others [sic] diseases.”

Barak: Military action won't be effective against nuclear Iran

Former Israeli occupation Prime Minister Ehud Barak claimed in an article published Monday in Time that Iran is on the verge of being able to produce nuclear weapons, adding that military action will no longer be effective.

In his article, Barak claimed that "both Israel and (for sure) the U.S. can operate over the skies of Iran against this or that site or installation and destroy it. But once Iran is a de-facto threshold nuclear state this kind of attack simply cannot delay the Iranians from turning nuclear."

Barak, who served as "Israel's" Security Minister and IOF chief, considered that when Iran makes a decision "this summer", it will become a nuclear threshold state, claiming that it will take the Iranians "from 18 to 24 months to polish their skills treating metal uranium and packing it into a missile warhead."

"But these steps can be executed in a small lab or workshop and cannot be easily followed, never mind stopped," he added.

The former Israeli official wondered why the US or "Israel" hadn't prepared attack plans against Iran when former US President Donald Trump withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal.

Barak said that "it’s time to face reality," and to "start to think and prepare for the real new phase" with Iran as a nuclear state.

According to Barak, the desired course of action would be regional diplomacy, "independent Israeli attack plans," and awaiting the "collapse of the Iranian regime."

Last week, IOF chief Aviv Kochavi stressed that “preparing a military option against the Iranian nuclear program is a moral necessity and a national security imperative.”

Although Rabbi Baruch Lanner, a convicted sex offender, was not allowed into "Israel", advocate groups say that about 100 rabbis, teachers, and other figures accused or convicted of sexual abuse have found refuge in "Israel".

Israeli Interior Minister, Ayelet Shaked, revealed that the Rabbi would not be granted "Israeli citizenship", sparking a wave of relief among women who have been formerly abused by Lanner in the United States.

However, Lanner, who was convicted of abusing a student in 2002, has an Israeli "residency visa" that allows him to remain in "Israel" and that can be repeatedly extended.

"Withholding citizenship is an important statement but it is mostly symbolic, since Lanner will still be able to live and work here. Without a registry of sexual predators in Israel, how will people know to be careful around him?" she wondered.

Shana Aaronson, who was working to prevent Lanner's "immigration" in her capacity as executive director at "Magen for Jewish Communities," described the rabbi as only the "tip of the iceberg."

She revealed that around 100 rabbis, teachers, and figures who were accused and convicted of sexual abuse abroad found refuge in "Israel".

According to Aaronson, even if they are convicted offenders, there is no mechanism in place in "Israel" to monitor their movements or alert the public.

Another woman, P., said, "I'm not comfortable with Lanner living in Israel and that we won't be notified where he lives, with the possibility that he could move into my neighborhood."

She is concerned that "the next government will grant him citizenship or extend his visa - that could too easily happen. It is unsettling."

P. highlighted a major flaw in the occupation ministry's thinking on Lanner, who is still able to retain his residency status despite being prevented from Israeli citizenship.

Many people petitioned the Interior Ministry not to award the "Israeli citizenship" to Lanner who is able to retain his "residency status".

Burns said Wednesday during an Aspen Security Forum discussion that he was “very proud … of the analysis, with all of its imperfections, that we tried to provide to policymakers over the six months leading up to the withdrawal.”

The CIA director prefaced this by admitting the agency had not predicted the Taliban would take over the country as fast as they did and that “all of us have lessons to learn from experiences like that.” He suggested that the CIA had at least gotten it less wrong than other parts of the U.S. government.

“As the president has said publicly, none of us anticipated that the Afghan government was going to flee as quickly as it did, that the Afghan military was going to collapse as fast as it did,” Burns said.

“Having said that, I think CIA at least was always on the more pessimistic end of the spectrum in terms of highlighting, you know, over the course of the spring and the summer, the obvious ways in which the Taliban were advancing rapidly and how this was hollowing out in many ways, not just the political leadership but also the military.”

Burns shared the CIA’s assessment in July 2021, when he did not say he believed the country would fall in half a year, let alone in less than a month.

IOF officers warn ground forces unprepared for war: Israeli media

Israeli media reported Tuesday that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) officers warned that the Ground Forces are "ill-prepared" for a war.

In a report, Israel Hayom pointed out that since the July 2006 war on Lebanon, the IOF "has made a calculated choice to reduce the deployment of its Ground Forces, favoring the Israeli Air Force instead, mostly with the aim of minimizing casualties."

The newspaper indicated that when IOF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi took office in 2019, "he set out to improve the Ground Forces' operational capabilities, but with only a few months left on his term, senior officers warn that despite his best intentions, the reality on the ground is far different from the vision he introduced."

According to the report, some IOF commanders feel that "military brass and the political echelon have little faith in their abilities," adding that these claims "grew following the decision not to deploy any ground troops" during the Israeli so-called "Operation Guardian of the Walls" in May 2021.

Israel Hayom pointed out that senior IOF officers argued that ground maneuvers must always be the last resort, stressing that the next war with Lebanon requires such deployment to ensure the IOF "has the upper hand."

The newspaper highlighted that Israeli Ground Forces officers "cautioned that the Armored Corps, which shoulders the bulk of ground maneuvers, has been eroded to the point where its operational capabilities have been jeopardized."

The report explained that the "Armored Corps has been plagued with budget cuts for years and its pivotal role in any military operations receives little media attention," and the IOF "shuttered several Armored Corps brigades – in regular service and in the reserves – over the past few decades."

Israel Hayom highlighted that the number of IOF tanks has diminished in 2022, revealing that the Israeli Armored Corps "now has only three armored brigades in regular service, one training brigade that joins the fighting forces in wartime, and only a handful of reserves brigades – all of which suffer from chronic personnel shortages."

The report concluded that if the IOF's "armored brigades are ill-prepared for the war, the military's maneuverability as a whole would face a challenge."

This come right after Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah related to Al Mayadeen, as part of the "Dialogue of the 40th Anniversary", the achievements of the Resistance over the past several decades.

Warning the Israeli occupation against committing any provocations against Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah said there were no Israeli targets in the sea or land out of the reach of the Resistance's precision missiles.

Sayyed Nasrallah underscored that the Israeli occupation realized, through the July war, that confrontation with the resistance was dangerous and that the resistance's capabilities were much more than just confrontations at the border.

"Since 2006, the enemy does not dare take any action against Lebanon," the Resistance leader said, noting that "Tel Aviv" was only resorting to run-of-the-mill operations that leave no mark in Lebanon.

Chabad’s approach to Israel’s government is: Don’t give the Russians control over the Jerusalem compound without demanding the return of the Schneerson library archives.

The Chabad Hasidic movement has begun legal proceedings against Russia and urged Israeli authorities to only give Russia control of the Alexander Courtyard church compound in Jerusalem - if they return the Schneerson library archives.

Russia’s intentions to close down the activities of the Jewish Agency throughout the country have brought about another crisis as well. The Chabad movement in the US has begun legal proceedings against Russia. Representatives of Chabad appealed to Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara, demanding that the process for the transfer of ownership of real estate in Jerusalem (and, particularly, the Alexander Courtyard church) to the Russian government be frozen.

Israeli attorney Uri Keidar, who is representing Chabad in this legal battle, sent a letter to Baharav-Miara on Sunday.

In the letter, it is explained that the “Schneerson Library” is a historical collection of the global Chabad movement and that the collection includes approximately 12,000 books and original writings, which were gradually collected and preserved since the end of the 18th century.

The Schneerson library is a unique collection of books that belonged to the dynasty of Lubavitch rabbis before the Russian Revolution and was nationalized by the Soviet Government in the 1920s.

The Democratic primary next week in Michigan’s newly redrawn 11th District could end a four-decade Jewish political dynasty — and spending by the country’s biggest pro-Israel lobby is playing a significant role.

Because of redistricting, the race pits two incumbent Democrats against each other: Representative Andy Levin, a Jewish Democrat who favors conditioning aid to Israel and counts some of Congress’s most outspoken Israel critics as his friends, and Representative Haley Stevens, a non-Jewish centrist whose Israel commitments lie mainly in assuring its military security.

Stevens has been the recipient of millions of dollars in outside funding far from United Democracy Project, the political action committee launched last year by AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. She is polling over 20 points ahead of Levin.

AIPAC broke from 70 years of studious avoidance of electoral politics when it launched the PAC, in a sign that the group no longer believed that its traditional activities were sufficient to guarantee that its vision of Israel support would prevail in Congress.

Now, the group is testing its theory in multiple primaries where progressive candidates are seen as vulnerable. Through Sunday, AIPAC’s PAC had spent $3,178,469 supporting Stevens’ candidacy and another $174,437 opposing Levin’s, according to federal election data collected by Open Secrets, a website that tracks political spending. AIPAC’s giving has made up nearly 60% of outside spending on behalf of Stevens, according to federal data.
