First private astronauts head back home from International Space Station

After17days of stay at the International Space Station, 4 private astronauts who paid $=55= million per seat are returning to earth today at 10:30 pm IST

The SpaceX Dragon Endeavour spacecraft was undocked from the space-facing port of the International Space Station’s Harmony module at 6:40 am IST today. This completed the 17-day stay of the first private astronaut mission to the ISS. The mission named Axiom Mission 1 (AX-1) comprised a crew of 4 astronauts, Michael López from Alegria, a former NASA astronaut commanding the mission. Alongside him are entrepreneurs Larry Connor and Mark Pathy and Israeli investor and philanthropist Eytan Stibbe.

It is reported that Conner, Pathy, and Stibbe paid $55million per seat to be on the first private mission to the ISS. The Dragon Spacecraft’s crew is slowly maneuvering away from the orbital laboratory into an orbital track that will return the astronaut crew and its cargo safely to Earth, targeting a splashdown off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida, targeted for 10:36 pm IST on Monday, April 25.

Ax-1 crew conducted work for more than 25 research projects with partners across the globe, including the Mayo Clinic, Montreal Children’s Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, and the Ramon Foundation. The astronauts also assisted in delivering Axiom-sponsored research and manufacturing investigations on self-assembling technology for future space habitats, devices to purify the air on space stations, and more.

The AX-1 mission will be returning to Earth with 90 kilograms of cargo, which includes science and supplies, NASA experiments, and hardware from the flying laboratory. The mission was earlier scheduled to undock after 10 days of stay, but after unfavorable weather at the landing the site off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida the mission was extended for 7 days.

The AX-1 mission is the first commercial astronaut team and marks the 6th human spaceflight from SpaceX in the last two years. Axiom Space will now work on the second private mission to the flying laboratory and has contracted SpaceX for three more missions to the ISS over the next 2 years.

Reckless Associations:The Ruling Class Creates New Legal Theory to Stifle Free Speech

In a forthcoming article at the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology, three law professors propose a novel, legal tort theory of liability. This liability is referred to as “reckless associations,” and it has the effect of allowing a victim to sue a third-party for assuming a leadership position in an association if a member of the association intentionally caused harm to the victim.

The professors proposed this secondary liability to crack down on social network agitators that have escaped legal punishment for their content, which they allege falls short of conspiracy and/or incitement. This theory’s immediate effect would be to flood the judicial system with lawsuits purporting to hold wrongdoers accountable. The secondary effect would be to pressure social networking platforms to maintain key network surveillance data readily available for plaintiffs’ attorneys.

The obvious flaw in this legal theory is that it attempts to fix a problem that only affects a very small fraction of all social network users. Though these users make up a fraction of the entire network, they were “central and active nodes in a dysfunctional network—one that has actually and foreseeably caused epistemic failure and resulted in conduct that harmed people outside the network” before the platform’s content moderators banned their accounts. For years, the platforms have maintained community standards and other policies to address content that may be illegal or objectionable. These policies exist to deter the types of content being addressed by the tort.

Progressives and many legal professionals claim that the existing social network environment is inadequate and does not address the real-world harms caused by a small fraction of highly engaged users. This secondary theory of tort liability was drafted to address this perspective and to work around the existing obstacles within the legal system. The First Amendment protects a wide range of speech and association, and section 230 of the Communications Decency Act protects platforms from civil liability.

While individuals may already be prosecuted for conspiracy and incitement, these legal theories “often fail when applied to group leaders who were not giving explicit orders in real time, or themselves committing crimes.” This tort similarly targets the inherent challenges of imposing civil liability on platforms rather than on individuals. Section 230 was implemented, in part, as a response to the challenges of content moderation on platforms. Congress’s intention was to “allow online services to moderate content on their platforms in good faith, removing harmful or illegal content while still providing a forum for free speech and a diversity of opinions.” Congress attempted to balance content moderation to deter civil liability and the fostering of an open, digital “public square.”

Pfizer is forced to recall drug used to treat hypertension after pills were found to be contaminated with cancer-causing compounds

Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is recalling five batches of its hypertension drug Accupril after it was found to contain chemicals that can cause cancer.

The recall comes after research found that batches of the drug contained increased levels of a cancer-causing agent, nitrosamine. It was announced on March 22 and involves five batches of pills, each containing 90 bottles.

Pfizer says those bottles may have been split into smaller prescriptions, and has urged any doctor or pharmacist who dealt with the shipments in question to contact them immediately.

The drugs were distributed in the United States and Puerto Rico between December 2019 and April 2022, a Pfizer news release said.

In the statement, Pfizer described the recall as 'voluntary.'

The bottles come with 90 pills and are prescribed in 10mg, 20mg and 40mg increments. The number of pills per bottle can be broken down into smaller amounts.

In Canada, Pfizer had already announced a similar recall after finding the same impurity to be above acceptable levels.

A statement from the Canadian government said that people ingesting nitrosamine at the acceptable level or below for 70 years are 'not expected to have an increased risk of cancer.'

The company said in announcing the recall that they received no reports of specific incidents related to the drug. The giant also stressed that there is no immediate risk to patients already taking the drug.

Nitrosamines are common in water, foods such as smoked and cured meats as well as dairy products. However, exposure above acceptable levels over long periods of time could increase the risk of cancer.

Accupril works by decreasing the chemicals that narrow blood vessels. This allows blood to flow more smoothly and for the heart to work more efficiently.

The common side effects of the drug include muscle and joint pain, sensitivity to light, a dry cough and dizziness.

In 2019, there were 1.3 million active Accupril prescriptions in the United States, according Clinical Calculators.

This is the second recall that Pfizer has faced in six weeks after the company recalled the blood pressure drug Accuretic in early March due to apparent accelerated levels of nitrosamine.

An FDA statement on the recall instructed patients who are taking this product to consult with their healthcare provider or pharmacy to determine if they have the affected product.

Patients with the affected product should contact Sedgwick at 888-345-0481 (Mon.-Fri. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET) for instructions on how to return their product and obtain reimbursement for their cost.

Biden Approves $713 Million in Weapons For Ukraine, Hopes War Will Leave Russia Weakened

On Sunday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin became the highest-ranking US officials to visit Ukraine since Russia invaded on February 24. During meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the officials promised more support for a war the White House hopes will weaken Moscow.

While in Kiev, Blinken informed Zelensky the White House authorized over $700 million in assistance to finance weapon sales and approved a sale of $165 million in “non-standard ammunition” for Ukraine.

A State Department press release explained the $700 million in arms financing includes grants for Ukraine and aid for NATO members to help backfill stockpiles donated to Kiev.

“The United States intends to obligate more than $713 million in Foreign Military Financing (FMF) for Ukraine and 15 other Allied and partner nations. More than $322 million in this obligation is for Ukraine and will provide support for the capabilities Ukraine needs as Russia’s forces train their focus on the Donbas; this assistance will also help Ukraine’s armed forces transition to more advanced weapons and air defense systems. This assistance will also help NATO Allies with backfilling capabilities they have donated to Ukraine from their own stockpiles.”

Since Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized “special military operations,” the US supported Ukraine with $3.7 billion in security assistance. The pace is accelerating, with $2.3 billion in military support approved within the past two weeks. The recent weapons packages include more advanced weapons such as Howitzers and drones.

On Monday, Blilken and Austin spoke with the press in Poland about their trip to Kiev. The Defense Secretary said the US goals stretch beyond defending Ukraine’s sovereignty. “We want to see Ukraine remain a sovereign country, a democratic country able to protect its sovereign territory. We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine,” Austin told reporters.

Last week, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told CNN Turk some NATO member states want the war in Ukraine to last longer because they believe it will weaken Russia. “There are countries within NATO who want the war to continue,” Cavusoglu said. “They want Russia to become weaker.”

The Washington Post has also highlighted this trend of NATO members that prefer war to peace. On April 5th, the Post reported, “for some in NATO, it’s better for the Ukrainians to keep fighting, and dying, than to achieve a peace that comes too early or at too high a cost to Kyiv and the rest of Europe.”

(Reuters) - Warren Buffett plans to hold his 21st, and final, charity lunch to raise money for Glide, a San Francisco nonprofit that serves the poor, homeless, and people battling substance abuse.

Glide said on Monday that the auction begins on June 12 on eBay and will conclude on June 17.

The winner and as many as seven guests will dine with Buffett at the Smith & Wollensky steakhouse in Manhattan.

Buffett is also giving away most of his wealth, including more than $41.6 billion so far, to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and four family charities.

A high percentage of the data we receive is not only network delivered but network sourced, and a news story will contain generations of layered error and inherited assumptions. When unrecognized errors accumulate in our circulating information supply, (news and entertainment content) our ability to make good decisions is gradually degraded. We make social and economic decisions based on what we assume to be facts - and the unrecognized errors in that data produce errors of ever-increasing magnitude. This not a hypothesis, it’s an axiom, and is cited by John von Neumann in “Computation and the Brain” JvN’s never completed final work.

We know technologies exist which permit precise control of individual and group information environments. News feeds, display ads, forum topics and visible response; all can be individually curated to produce predictable effects on a targeted individual or group.

Civilization, community and commerce all rest on identity, and we have no assured anonymity (by design) on the spy-built internet. Nor would we give up our real anonymity (if we had it) for the sake of secure networking. We don’t have real anonymity on the internet, though people who use C_A’s TOR mix net and proton mail users think so.

There are righteous reasons for anonymity and for that reason assured elective anonymity must be integral to the information system of the future.

How do we get both – assured identity AND anonymity on the same network without compromising either?

We the People need trusted networking to reliably distribute information that is real and true and important, information every person needs to make informed decisions. We the People’s decisions can be no better that the information they are based on – and right now they are based on accumulated MSM deceptions and psychological operations whose objective is terror.

In order to be secure FOR all, the internet must be secure FROM all, including the people who build it.

That's why an open, international program is essential, and why an information distribution platform or network is a UTILITY. It can never belong to a private company or a nation state entity. In the first of two scenes, about a dozen men in combat gear stand, many of them with their faces covered.

“We want to give thanks to the people of Israel and the government of Israel for the help they give us. We are here fighting against the Russians in this very difficult war,” said one fighter in Hebrew.

He also thanked the main synagogue in Kyiv and Ukrainian Chief Rabbi Moshe Azman for providing the troops with kosher food and helping them celebrate Passover.

The site is just west of the Magic Kingdom itself, but to the trained eye is much more than a corporate backwater.

The site is perimetered by two moats, two perimeter patrol roads, one a soft graded (to see foot tracks) next to fencing within fencing.

The site has feedlines from two large powerplants, one of which is a many megawatt huge solar plant to the west. The solar plant distribution lines run directly to this site, not the neighborhoods nearby. Efforts have been taken obscure the HV distribution lines from the conventional powerplant to the east.

Inside the high security fences there are a number of structures, virtually all of which have what look like corner-fed HF loop antennas mounted over and around them. These are not average loop antennas, but heavy masted, guyed and supplied by masted feedlines.

The roads are cleverly named. Maple Rd. (maypole - a mast w lines) and Maple Loop (maypole loop antennas).

These are not just listening antennas, although they would be extremely good and low noise ones. These are designed to transmit and at very high power levels. Very, very high levels.

To hams and military signals personnel, the attention to wavelength awareness is obvious at every point. The loop circumferences, heights above ground, location of metal nearby (fences) all have proportionality common to antenna and transmission theory.

Rough calculations put the frequencies in the 2.8, 3.8, and 7 MHz range and their harmonics above that. These are not random frequencies. These are very special with special properties that take advantage of the ionosphere directly overhead. The are designed to transmit straight up and bounce the signal straight down over an area of hundreds of miles. Using NVIS (near vertical incident skywave) At the higher harmonics of these frequencies and estimated power levels, signals could essentially be global.

So, the question is: What is going on here? Why do they need an array of this size, supplied with power on this scale, and security FAR greater than used around nuclear missile silos?

Elon Musk Successful Deal to Purchase Twitter for $44 Billion Likely to be Announced After Stock Market Close at 4pm Today

According to multiple media sources Twitter has reached a deal with the representatives of Elon Musk for the tech billionaire to purchase the social media company. According to the Wall Street Journal, over the weekend the outlines of the deal were agreed and last night the final assembly of the purchase came together.

Keep in mind that Twitter is slated to report first-quarter earnings this Thursday, and originally the board was going to wait until after that earnings announcement to respond to the bid.

Something changed.

My suspicion is the financials of the Q1 earnings report will not support the $54.20 high end evaluation offer originally proposed by Musk.
