Who are the Nazis in Ukraine?

They call themselves Svoboda meaning "Freedom" and they are a lot like the GOP in the USA.. The Social-National Party of Ukraine (SNPU) was registered as a party on 16 October 1995;[1][26] the constituent congress of the party took place on 13 October 1991, in Lviv. The party was established by the Soviet Afghan War veterans organization, the youth organization "Spadshchyna" (Heritage, headed by Andriy Parubiy), the Lviv Student Fraternity (headed by Oleh Tyahnybok), the Rukh Guard (headed by Yaroslav Andrushkiv and Yuriy Kryvoruchko).[27] Dr. Yaroslav Andrushkiv was elected leader of the party. Svoboda supports conservative values, and opposes abortion and gay rights.

Statements by political scientists

Political scientist Tadeusz A. Olszański writes that the social-nationalist ideology which Svoboda formerly adhered to has included "openly racist rhetoric" concerning 'white supremacy' since its establishment, and that comparisons with National Socialism are legitimized by its history.[2]

Andreas Umland, a political scientist at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy,[55] has asserted in 2010 that "Svoboda was a racist party promoting explicitly ethnocentric and anti-Semitic ideas".[153] He also believes that internally, Svoboda "is much more radical and xenophobic than what we see".[65] However, Umland has also stated that he believes the party will continue to become more moderate over time, stating that "there's a belief that Svoboda will change, once in the Verkhovna Rada, and that they may become proper national democrats".[43]

Olexiy Haran, also a political science professor at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, says "There is a lot of misunderstanding surrounding Svoboda" and that the party is not fascist, but radical.[104]

Alexander J. Motyl contends that Svoboda is not fascist, neither in behaviour or in ideology, and that "they are far more like the Tea Party or right-wing Republicans than like fascists or neo-Nazis."[110][154]

According to Anton Shekhovtsov, expert on radical parties in Europe, "The main peculiarity of the Ukrainian far right is that its main enemy is not immigrants or national minorities, as often happens with the EU-based far right, but the Kremlin"

Stroman died February 22 of complications from Covid, according to a family spokesperson. He was 58.

Project Management Institute recognizes international team, including Bechtel

The international, 22-year effort to cover and seal off the damaged Chernobyl nuclear plant has been recognized as one of the 50 most influential projects of the past 50 years by the Project Management Institute, the global body for project management standards, certifications, and education.

The award came Monday at the organization’s 50th anniversary celebration in Philadelphia. [ 555 ]

“Completing the New Safe Confinement took an all-in effort by the whole team,” said Bechtel’s project manager, Oscar “Mac” McNeil. “It required international cooperation and ingenuity to overcome the challenges presented by radiation and the environment around the plant, not to mention the Ukrainian winters.”

Balthasar Lindauer, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) director of Nuclear Safety, said: “We are honored to receive this prestigious award. It is recognition of what the community of donors together with Ukraine was able to achieve in this unique display of international solidarity.”

EBRD is the only international financial institution with expertise in nuclear decommissioning and more than 30 years of expertise in managing donor-funded projects.

Bechtel led the consortium that performed an original design of the sports-stadium-sized arch that was slid over the reactor in 2016. NOVARKA, a joint venture of the French firms VINCI Construction and Bouygues Travaux Publics, performed the design and construction. The EBRD financed the project along with more than 40 donor nations.

Today, Bechtel is the project management unit, under contract to State Specialized Enterprise – Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Bechtel ensures that engineering and construction meet the plant owner’s strict quality requirements.

At a cost of $1.6 billion, the giant structure is the most prominent element of the Shelter Implementation Plan for Chernobyl, which involved more than 300 projects and activities. The $2.3 billion program is financed by the Chernobyl Shelter Fund. EBRD manages the fund and is its largest contributor, providing $785 million to support Chernobyl projects.

NOVARKA assembled the arch away from the damaged reactor and then slid it into its final place on two massive rails.

The project was handed over to the Ukrainian authorities in July of 2019.

Credit Suisse Rats On Morgan Stanley & Goldman In Federal "Block Trading" Probe

Last night, we reported that for the first time, Morgan Stanley acknowledged its involvement in the SEC/DoJ "block trading" investigation that has been discussed in the financial press these past few weeks.

But while Morgan Stanley looks set to take the fall for whatever misbehavior federal prosecutors manage to uncover, it looks like an interloper - Swiss giant Credit Suisse, which has been bogged down by plenty of its own legal issues as of lately - is reportedly trying to help the Feds build a case. We're sure their rivals appreciate it.

Credit Suisse Group AG, saddled with billions of dollars in losses from the collapse of Archegos Capital Management last year, is trying to help the U.S. Justice Department potentially build a case related to block trading against rivals Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. The Swiss firm’s push to provide assistance apparently goes beyond banks’ routine cooperation with requests for information, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential deliberations.

Last week, Credit Suisse’s representatives delivered a presentation to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, flagging potential issues with Archegos’s collapse in March. No bank was hurt more by the blowup of Bill Hwang’s highly leveraged family office than Credit Suisse, which was left nursing more than $5 billion in losses, a hit that triggered leadership and structural changes. Persuading authorities that other banks acted improperly could help the Zurich-based lender head off regulatory sanctions or even give it a legal edge in recouping some losses.

If Credit Suisse is still furious with its rivals for breaking a pact that led to the bank accumulating billions in losses during the Archegos debacle, well, that's understandable. Although it's not like the bank doesn't have legal problems of its own.

But cooperating with federal authorities to bust its rivals probably wasn't the reaction CS's rivals had anticipated.

Lower down in its report about Credit Suisse's involvement in the "block trading" investigation, Bloomberg offers up some interesting new details about the probe, including how exactly the Archegos collapse intersects with the rest of the investigation.

According to two of the people, Credit Suisse has sought to spotlight transactions involving ViacomCBS Inc., a major Archegos holding. The company – now known as Paramount Global - - planned a secondary stock offering, tapping Morgan Stanley to lead the deal.

But before the fundraising closed, the stock started sliding - as did other shares tied to Archegos. They included some U.S.-listed Chinese company stocks, such as GSX Techedu, now called Gaotu Techedu; Vipshop Holdings Ltd. and Tencent Holdings Ltd. Banks soon began demanding more collateral from Archegos to shore up positions, and eventually moved to pull the plug on its portfolio. Morgan Stanley got out with a $911 million loss. Goldman Sachs emerged largely unscathed.

Regulators have opened a wide range of inquiries into the family office’s rise and fall, examining, for example, whether any stock prices were manipulated or banks colluded in their response to the firm’s troubles, people with knowledge of the matter have said. Last week, Bloomberg reported that the incident also led authorities to ramp up an investigation of block trading, a probe that’s been looking in part at whether Wall Street firms have tipped favored clients to transactions big enough to move stock prices.

It looks like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs are finally going to pay for walking away practically unscathed when they were the first to dump those large blocks of Archegos's shares back in March 2021.

Putin Tells Trump, “We’re Burning the Trash.” Biolaboratories Destroyed

Vladimir Putin has kept frequent contact with Donald J. Trump as Russian soldiers, aircraft, and warships continue to bombard eastern Ukraine, targeting not civilians but Western-sponsored bioweapons laboratories that zigzag the countryside like a child’s connect-the-dots puzzle, a Mar-a-Lago source told Real Raw News.

Our source emphasizes he is reporting only what Putin has told Trump; he is not attesting to the veracity of Putin’s statements, and Trump, he said, has yet to independently verify Putin’s claims.

On Thursday Trump reportedly took a third telephone call from Putin and was told the Russian military had obliterated 13 bioweapon facilities across Ukraine. Some were subterranean and struck several times to ensure their destruction.

Putin contended the West—the American NIH, France’s Institute of Health and Medical Research, and Germany’s Center for Infection Research–had funneled billions of dollars into the labs under the pretense of research grants. He claimed to have evidence, which he would eventually make public “when the world is willing to listen.”

According to Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy knew about the laboratories and had received kickbacks in exchange for letting them operate clandestinely and without official oversight.

“Putin told Trump he gave Zelenskyy many warnings to dismantle the labs, as far back as February 2020, and warned he’d do it himself if Zelenskyy didn’t comply. He admitted to minor collateral damage, but told Trump that Zelenskyy had only himself to blame, for putting the people of the Ukraine in danger,” our source said.

Putin also namedropped Israel. He said the Israeli Health Ministry and the MOSSAD ran a biolab on Snake Island, a land mass that belonged to Ukraine, located in the Black Sea, near the Danube Delta, with an important role in delimiting Ukrainian territorial waters.

On Thursday, a Russian Slava-class cruiser approached Snake Island and warned the inhabitants to surrender at once or be fired upon. “We are a Russian warship, proposing you put down arms to avoid bloodshed and unjustified deaths. In worst case, you will be hit with bomb strike,” the Russian’s warning continued for five minutes. The occupants replied: “Fuck you, Russian warship.”

The Slava cruiser opened fire, pummeling and razing the island’s structures until only dust and rubble were left in the wake of the attack. There were no survivors.

Putin said to Trump that the biolab on Snake Island had been involved in researching a weaponized type of airborne rabies that, if aerosolized, could have ravaged the earth with nearly a 100% mortality rate.

“He assured Trump he’d taken precautions to guarantee all pathogens were hit hard and effective enough to render them inert. He wouldn’t say if he used thermobaric ordnance, but that seems a likely possibility,” our source said.

“Make no mistake, President Trump. We’re not hitting cities. If we were, more than one building in Kyiv would be hit, and there’d be no electricity, no water, no nothing. We’re burning the trash,” Putin purportedly told Trump.

Mark Stroman, the veteran Fox and Endeavor marketing executive who helped launch memorable global campaigns including “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and the “Nobody Better Lay a Finger On My Butterfinger!” campaign featuring The Simpsons‘ Bart Simpson, has died.

Stroman died February 22 of complications from Covid, according to a family spokesperson. He was 58.

Stroman, a San Francisco Bay Area native known for his fun-loving nature, was one of the original employees at a just-launched Fox Broadcasting and later helped create the marketing division at Endeavor along with his twin brother Erik. He and Erik also ran their own firm, Entertainment Marketing Partners.

Stroman, a winner of several Reggie Awards for excellence in brand activation marketing, also served twice as chairman of the board of directors of Promax, the promotion and marketing trade association.
