Anons: imho it is every citizens’ duty to take every tax deduction that is legal and available, to ensure the government gets as little of your hard-earned $s as possible. This applies to Fed and State. In addition, a tax refund just means you didn’t plan properly and you gave the government an interest free loan for the year. Please plan better.
