I used to be a weed. Still am sometimes. But I was born one. And all the different weeds in me need to be discovered in order to take away the iniquity so only good fruit remains. We discover carnal thoughts by being given pure thoughts. Pure thoughts shine a light on carnal ways. Once we know, we are then no longer ignorant, and we can change. It’s the reason no man is condemned. We are made ignorant (Forgive them for they know not what they do.) No man is made in the image of God until the sixth day. Before this we are made ignorant for the purpose of knowing how the Lord works and WHO he is. This is what’s called taking captivity captive. For example, let’s say my iniquity is expressing unkindness. Unkindness has me captive, bound in the prison house of an unkind spirit. Yet when Kindness is revealed to me, the Lord is showing me who he. And when we learn who he is, and follow, then kindness has taken unkindness captive. I repeat, when we follow, captivity is led captive. Kindness has bound unkindness.
Matt 13:24 …when the blade sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
You’ll never see the tares, and you’ll never be able to pluck them up, until the fruit makes his appearance first.
