Had anyone noticed the choice of very large door latch?
I know we are not familiar with such ancient door hardware but dig back if you watched old movies.
Even some Western movies might have a similar door latch. Ever hear the saying, “Bar the door?”
When they said that, were they on the inside? When you see a door-latch like that, it should be on the inside- to keep people out. Not keep people in.
