(Xposted from 4ch)

I was browsing UberEats and, wanting breakfast food, wound up at the nearest IHOP location. I am in suburban New York. Close to the city. This is what I found in the “Shakes” section. I put it in my cart to see if it was an error that would correct itself. As you can see, it did not.

By this point, I wasn’t interested in ordering anything. I was just infinitely curious about this, most likely, error on the menu. I decided I would call the restaurant and let them know about the issue. They seemed eager to brush me off and send me to talk to Uber eats rather than them. When I finally did reach a representative at Uber eats, they said that these things happen often and not to worry about it. The problem would resolve itself. I don’t know what to make of it. It reminds me of the Wayfare stuff, which I really don’t put much merit into. Nonetheless, this is just bizarre. So were the responses I received both from the restaurant and Uber.

Two days later, the error remains on the menu. I might have a friend call the restaurant and complain about it. I will check back in.

Thoughts?

I also thought this was sketchy: The mall that this IHOP is located in has a bunch of space that has never been Used in the 20+ years it’s existed. Not to mention the underground parking garage that is basically a labyrinth with locked doors that go who the fuck knows where.

I’m just leaving this right the fuck here. I just googled “missing children” and “Palisades Center”. Was not expecting this.

There was a menu change less than a full day after my original post. It’s the way it was changed that is sketchy. The entire shake section is marked as “sold out“. And the Oreo Shake is nowhere to be seen. My reasoning is that if it was just a numerical error, they would change correct the price and move on, but SOLD OUT with the Oreo Shake erased from the section? Nah

Too many compounding factors for coincidence.
