I was browsing UberEats and, wanting breakfast food, wound up at the nearest IHOP location. I am in suburban New York. Close to the city. This is what I found in the “Shakes” section. I put it in my cart to see if it was an error that would correct itself. As you can see, it did not.
By this point, I wasn’t interested in ordering anything. I was just infinitely curious about this, most likely, error on the menu. I decided I would call the restaurant and let them know about the issue. They seemed eager to brush me off and send me to talk to Uber eats rather than them. When I finally did reach a representative at Uber eats, they said that these things happen often and not to worry about it. The problem would resolve itself. I don’t know what to make of it. It reminds me of the Wayfare stuff, which I really don’t put much merit into. Nonetheless, this is just bizarre. So were the responses I received both from the restaurant and Uber.
Two days later, the error remains on the menu. I might have a friend call the restaurant and complain about it. I will check back in.
