Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation Of Russian Orthodox Seminary & Monastery In New York

Holy Trinity Monastery and Seminary in Jordanville, New York, the spiritual center of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), had to be evacuated on Thursday afternoon, September 28 due to a bomb threat.

The threat was called in due to the perpetrators' belief that Jordanville supports the war in Ukraine. This was reported to OrthoChristian by multiple sources.

While OrthoChristian is unaware of any statements about the war coming from Holy Trinity Monastery and Seminary in particular, the monastery site does have a page entitled, "Concerning the War in Ukraine," which hosts links to the Archpastoral Epistle of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, the recently deceased First Hierarch of ROCOR, from February 24, 2022, the day the war started, in which he called all to fervently pray for peace, and the address of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, also from the first day of the war, in which he condemned and called for an end to what he called the "fratricidal war."

The threat comes two weeks after the publication of the article, "Putin’s Useful Priests: The Russian Orthodox Church and the Kremlin’s Hidden Influence Campaign in the West," by Andrei Soldatov and Irina Borogan, in Foreign Affairs, the official magazine of the Council on Foreign Relations.

An American Orthodox priest, Fr. John Whiteford, who serves in ROCOR, reacted as follows:

"Those who stoke Russia Hoaxes have an impact on innocent people in the real world. Next time it may be more than just a theat."

Coming full circle: Subpoena demands FBI return Hunter Biden laptop to Delaware repair shop owner

Legal actions follow after Hunter Biden’s lawyers question whether there even was a laptop. This is the same laptop that Biden sued a repair shop owner for disclosing "private information" the repairman says it contained, and more recently sued Rudy Giuliani for computer intrusion and disclosing "private information." Now Team Hunter is back to denying the existence of the laptop.

It’s been called a device “from hell.” Intelligence experts once falsely insinuated it was Russian disinformation. And lawyers for the president's son this month even questioned if it really even exists.

Remarkably, the Hunter Biden laptop saga begun four years ago is turning the tables on the FBI, which now is being asked to return the now infamous device and its data to the origin point of a scandal that prompted an impeachment inquiry against the 46th president.

Lawyers for Delaware computer shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac this week subpoenaed America’s most famous law enforcement agency, demanding the bureau return the laptop, an associated hard drive and other data that it seized from him in December 2019, according to a copy of the subpoena obtained by Just the News.

The subpoena, dated Sept. 25, from the Superior Court of Delaware says Mac Isaac needs the device as evidence in his lawsuit against CNN, Politico and Hunter Biden alleging he has been defamed.

Specifically, the evidence demand requests the return of “Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Computer (“MacBook”); Serial Number FVFXC2MMHV29 obtained from John Paul Mac Isaac via grand jury subpoena on December 9, 2019” as well as “Western Digital (external hard drive) (“External Hard Drive”); Serial Number WX21A19ATFF3 obtained from John Paul Mac Isaac via grand jury subpoena on December 9, 2019.”

It also asks for some of the paperwork showing his dealings with Hunter Biden when the first son dropped of the laptop in spring 2019 to his shop seeking data recovery and repair services.

And the subpoena also asks the FBI to turn over “any and all documents and communications relating to the authentication” of the laptop and associated hard drive.

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) aiding border crossers and illegal aliens are raking in millions in American taxpayer cash from President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS), an accounting of public records shows.

This week, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that the administration was sending more than $12.2 million to NGOs like Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army, United Way, Annunciation House, a Baptist Church association, an Episcopal Diocese, and Lawyers for Good Government Foundation, among others, for their facilitating illegal immigration.

Likewise, the taxpayer money is going to jurisdictions like Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brownsville, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; McAllen, Texas; Riverside County, California; El Paso, Texas; and Pima County, Arizona.

“SSP grants have provided critical support to communities receiving migrants and the need for this support is ongoing,” Mayorkas said in a statement:

With this announcement, DHS has completed allocating all available FY23 SSP funding authorized by Congress. We urge lawmakers to act on DHS’s request for an additional $600 million for SSP in the FY23 budget supplemental to continue supporting border and interior communities receiving migrants. The additional millions announced this week are on top of $290 million previously announced in June of this year as well as another $77 million announced last month. In total, the Biden administration has awarded NGOs and sanctuary jurisdictions close to $800 million through the SSP grants route.

As sanctuary cities like New York City and Chicago have quickly learned, illegal immigration imposes an enormous burden on American taxpayers.

Annually, the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. cost American taxpayers $163 billion. That amount does not include any of the social and economic costs — such as higher housing prices, depleted wages, lost jobs, increased crime, and strained public resources at hospitals and schools.

Solomon Islands leader Manasseh Sogavare has explained that he had more important things to do than attend a White House meeting

Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has defended his decision to skip this week’s White House summit with the Pacific region’s leaders, saying he didn’t want to spend time hearing a “lecture” from President Joe Biden’s administration when he had more important concerns to deal with back home.

“I am not to go and sit down at the meeting and listen to them lecture me,” Sogavare told reporters after returning to Honiara from the US on Wednesday. He added that he saw no benefit from attending a similar meeting last year, saying the talks are arranged to give each Pacific Islands leader three minutes to talk, “and then you go and listen to them lecture you about how good they are.”

Sogavare traveled to the US to address the UN General Assembly last week in New York. Earlier this year, he shrugged off complaints from the US and Australia over his country’s deepening ties with China, saying the Solomons sought “honest cooperation” with all nations. He met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in July, signing multiple new agreements and memorandums, including a security pact that allows Beijing to deploy police to help maintain law and order on the islands.

Speaking at the UN, Sogavare praised China’s development cooperation with the Solomon Islands, saying Beijing was “less restrictive, more responsive and aligned to our national needs.” He added that China is now the leading infrastructure partner for the Solomon Islands.

A White House official issued a statement last week saying the Biden administration was disappointed that Sogavare had decided not to attend the 18-nation Pacific Islands summit. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has urged Pacific Islands leaders to be on guard against China’s “increasingly problematic behavior.” Washington reopened its embassy in the Solomons in January, ending a 30-year absence, and opened an embassy in Tonga in May.

Sogavare told reporters on Wednesday that he chose to prioritize domestic issues over attending the US forum. With just ten weeks remaining before the current parliamentary session in Honiara ends, he said he needs to work with lawmakers on the country’s legislative agenda.

During last year’s Pacific Islands summit at the White House, the Biden administration announced more than $800 million in economic aid to the region to counter growing Chinese influence.Sogavare said nothing has come of that pledge so far, and he claimed that other foreign leaders had shown more respect to heads of state in the Pacific Islands. “They treat us like leaders, not to put us in a classroom-like setting and lecture us,” he added.

How NYC gun arrest uncovered a huge pedophile Satanic cult

The arrest of a Queens man on gun charges two years ago has led federal authorities to the discovery of a Satanic pedophile extortion cult that targets minors over the internet, a report said Thursday.

Investigators uncovered the heinous group, named 764, while probing disturbing social media posts made by Angel Almeida, 23, who was busted in November 2021 and charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, according to court documents and a report from The Guardian.

When authorities searched Almeida’s home, they allegedly found hundreds of files containing child sex abuse material on four different devices — as well as books related to O9A and Satanism, according to court documents.

They also found a “blood covenant,” an O9A drawing of a hooded figure surrounded by the group’s symbols and smeared with what appears to be blood, the filings state.

On Sept. 12, the FBI issued a public notice about 764, a “violent online group” that is “deliberately targeting minor victims on publicly available messaging platforms to extort them into recording or livestreaming acts of self-harm and producing child sexual abuse material.”

Sources told the Guardian the cult is believed to be an offshoot of O9A — and that law enforcement discovered the group through the investigation in Almeida’s case

The FBI did not immediately return The Post’s request for a comment on Thursday.

Members of 764 are thought to “use threats, blackmail and manipulation” to get vulnerable youth — particularly LGBTQ+ minors, racial minorities and those with mental health issues — to record acts of self-harm, animal abuse, sex acts and suicide, the FBI warning states.

The group targets victims through platforms like Roblox, Discord and Twitch, as well as curated Soundcloud playlists and the encrypted messaging app Telegram, researchers told the Guardian.

There are likely thousands of 764 members, with hundreds more active members trawling these platforms regularly, they added.

Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has claimed his country is uniquely deserving to join the bloc and won’t bring problems with it

Ukraine deserves complete accession to the EU and will not accept any substitute proposed by incumbent member states who envision a tiered system of candidates. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal reiterated Kiev’s position in an interview published by Politico on Thursday.

“We want to be a fully-fledged member because Ukraine today is the unique country across the world that has paid such a huge price for its will to become a European Union member,” the senior official told the outlet.

Earlier this month, a report commissioned by France and Germany recommended breaking down the EU’s expansion process into more phases to “ensure a merit-based approach and to manage potential conflicts.” A four-tiered system ranking nations from “inner circle” down to a “European Political Community” was proposed.

Eight nations and the breakaway Serbian province of Kosovo currently have active talks with the EU about possible accession. National leaders will discuss enlargement and reform plans during a summit in Granada, Spain next week.

Shmygal emphasized that Ukraine is not aiming for a lower-tier status and anticipates full membership within two years. In explaining what sets Ukraine apart, he pointed to the significant and widespread public support for EU accession among its population.

Previously, other senior Ukrainian officials asserted that their nation should be granted membershipdue to their perceived rolein defending the EU from potential Russian invasion. It’s worth noting, however, that Moscow has not indicated any intention to engage in armed conflict with any EU member state.

In a recent Politico interview, Shmygal provided insights ahead of a formal assessment by Brussels regarding Ukraine’s progress in implementing the required reforms as a candidate state last year. The European Commission is anticipated to make a recommendation next month regarding the commencement of formal accession talks.

The prime minister vowed that his country “would not be bringing problems” to the EU and, on the contrary, would help it tackle energy dependence, security, defense, and broader economic issues. Currently, Kiev relies on foreign aid to conduct its military campaign against Russia and pay government expenditures.

Joseph Borrell, the EU’s foreign policy chief, noted in an interview with The Guardian last week that Ukraine “would be the only country that would be a net beneficiary” should it be granted membership. He added, however, that Kiev’s inclusion in the bloc would also end a “sleeping siesta” period for enlargement.

Haley gained national attention Tuesday when she threw her hat into the ring as President Donald Trump’s first challenger for President in 2024. Less than 2,000 viewers tuned in to watch her first campaign rally.

As The Gateway Pundit reported yesterday, GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene held nothing back when the news about Haley’s White House bid broke, blasting Haley as “Bush in heels” for her weak positions on the border, immigration and protecting children from a radical trans agenda.

The younggloballeaders.org ‘Who We Are’ page states, “Aligned with the World Economic Forum’s mission, we seek to drive public-private co-operation in the global public interest. We are united by the belief that today’s pressing problems present an opportunity to build a better future across sectors and boundaries.”

According to ICT News, Haley was honored as a young global leader in 2011.

Higher gasoline prices forced Americans to spend more in August and pushed up the Federal Reserve’s main measure of inflation, providing more evidence that the path to lower inflation is unlikely to be a smooth one. The personal consumption expenditure price index, which the Fed uses in its official inflation target of two percent and the publicly released projections of policymakers, rose by 0.4 percent, twice the pace of the prior month. The increase was in line with economist expectations. Higher energy costs were the driver of inflation in August. Core prices, which exclude food and energy, rose by a more moderate 0.1 percent in August.

Spurred from several recent conversations, it becomes entirely necessary for this specific audience to understand a reality that is never discussed.

If you are reading this, wherever you are reading this, by self-associationyou are in a select group of high information people with a much larger understanding of the issuesthan your network. That means you know, comprehend, understand and have a level of insight and discernment that is far above average. Now, let me be brutally honest.

Factually speaking, all of the people within the mechanisms of DC; the people you associate with being key allies to fight back against the visible corruption;the people you assign hope toward; are not as smart as you.

Re-read that as needed.

One of the biggest shifts of thinking needed in order to change our dynamic to the abusive relationship with government, is to realize these people you consider important are just not that smart. They are not wiser; they are not more strategic; they are not as well versed in the details at the heart of the crisis; they are not as well informed; they do not have special access to information that makes them more capable; they do not understand the issues better than you.

Again, RE-READ that with new eyes to evaluate and understand the challenge.

It doesn’t matter what position they hold, or what access they have, or what groups, interests, networks or information resources are at their disposal.You know more than them, and you understand the material at a much higher level of comprehension than they do. It does not matter what their rank or importance is, YOU know more. Once you realize this, then you begin to change how you look at the challenge and at their functional capability within it.

The informational context you assign to them does not exist. The things you think they know, they don’t. The very specific information you believe they are aware of, does not exist in their mind. The people in Washington DC, those allies who you think might have the skills to fix issues, have no concept of what material you are aware of. You are light years ahead of them in the scale of information you understand, and the context it means.

I am not being hyperbolic.

Here’s the kicker…. They think they are more aware than you.

The system around them reinforces a belief that they hold some level of knowledge that you do not have. As a result, when they engage with you, they talk down to you, or talk in a manner of unintentional intellectual condescension that stems from a place where they cannot fathom your level of knowledge.…

While the DeSantis SuperPAC Never Back Down is the mechanics of the DeSantis election strategy, CfG is the well invested advising side, and DavidMcIntosh has been the source of DeSantis’ career guidance for a decade. That’s how intrinsically connected Club for Growth is to Ron and Casey DeSantis.

CfG has also opposed Donald Trump for his “America First” economic plan from the moment they realized Trump was serious about economic nationalism, control over immigration, a renewal of the American manufacturing sector, balanced trade and reciprocal tariffs. All of these policy points are against the interests of McIntosh and the larger Club for Growth agenda. The CfG has been working against Trump since 2016.

That is the appropriate context for a memo written by David McIntosh to those who fund Club for Growth, as reported by the New York Times. McIntosh writes a brutally honest letter to the professionally Republican donor class, saying all of their efforts against Trump have been futile, andthere is no effective strategy that will break the bond the American middle-class voter has with President Donald Trump.

(New York Times) – A well-funded group of anti-Trump conservatives has sent its donors a remarkably candid memo that reveals how resilient former President Donald J. Trump has been against millions of dollars of negative ads the group deployed against him in two early-voting states.

The political action committee, called Win It Back, has close ties to the influential fiscally conservative group Club for Growth. It has already spent more than $4 million trying to lower Mr. Trump’s support among Republican voters in Iowa and nearly $2 million more trying to damage him in South Carolina.

But in the memo — dated Thursday and obtained by The New York Times — the head of Win It Back PAC, David McIntosh, acknowledges to donors that after extensive testing ofmore than 40 anti-Trump television ads, “all attempts to undermine his conservative credentials on specific issues were ineffective.”

[…] “Even when you show video to Republican primary voters — with complete context — of President Trump saying something otherwise objectionable to primary voters, they find a way to rationalize and dismiss it,” Mr. McIntosh states in the “key learnings” section of the memo.

“Every traditional postproduction ad attacking President Trump either backfired or produced no impact on his ballot support and favorability,” Mr. McIntosh adds. “This includes ads that primarily feature video of him saying liberal or stupid comments from his own mouth.”

[…] The memo says this of Win It Back’s most promising pandemic-themed ad: “This ad was our best creative on the pandemic and vaccines that we tested in focus group settings, but it still produced a backlash in our online randomized controlled experiment — improving President Trump’s ballot support by four points and net favorability by 11 points.”

Win It Back did not bother running ads focused on Mr. Trump as an instigator of political violence or as a threat to democracy. The group tested in a focus group and online panel an ad called “Risk,” narrated by former Representative Liz Cheney, that focused on Mr. Trump’s actions on Jan. 6, 2021.But the group found that the Cheney ad helped Mr. Trump with the Republican voters, according to Mr. McIntosh. One of the last living witnesses to the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur has been arrested in the Las Vegas-area, a long-awaited breakthrough in a case that has frustrated investigators and fascinated the public ever since the hip-hop icon was gunned down on the Las Vegas Strip 27 years ago.

Duane “Keffe D” Davis was taken into custody early Friday morning, on suspicion of murder, according to two officials with first-hand knowledge of the arrest. They were not authorized to speak publicly ahead of an expected indictment later Friday.

It wasn’t immediately clear from court records if Davis has an attorney who can comment on his behalf. Davis hasn’t responded to multiple phone and text messages from The Associated Press seeking comment or an interview in the more than two months since police raided his wife’s home July 17 in nearby Henderson. Documents said police were looking for items “concerning the murder of Tupac Shakur.”

Police reported collecting multiple computers, a cellphone and hard drive, a Vibe magazine that featured Shakur, several .40-caliber bullets, two “tubs containing photographs” and a copy of Davis’ 2019 tell-all memoir, “Compton Street Legend.”

During the Republican presidential debate stage at the Ronald Reagan library in Simi Valley, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie continued spewing his unbecoming insults toward former President Trump.

Christie stands little chance of winning, but continues to debase the debate. Perhaps he’s auditioning for a show on “Looney Tunes” legacy media.

In a petulant, sophomoric quip, Christie labelled Trump as Donald Duck, for refusing to debate. The collective, disapproving sigh from the audience was palpable. Many pundits, and co-moderator Stuart Varney, say it fell flat.

But as long as we’re assigning the persona of cartoon characters to Republican presidential candidates, being Donald Duck is not the worst mantle to assume.

Indeed, some of Donald Duck’s characteristics might benefit dysfunctional Washington D.C. To wit: while a bit irascible, Donald Duck is a beloved character known for perseverance and determination. Sure, he’s a bit tempestuous, but Donald Duck always manages to overcome whatever challenges he faces. Overall, Donald Duck has some remarkable traits that do mimic the real Donald, enabling him to shake up the porky political establishment.

Contrast that to porky Christie. I’d rather not sink to his insult-hurling level, but in the spirit of assigning cartoon character characteristics to candidates Christie reminds me of Porky Pig though not as endearing. Unfortunately, there are already too many pigs in government touting their porky projects.

As Trump moves onwards and upwards, embodying Donald Duck’s resilience in overcoming problems, Christie’s “Loony Tunes” insults and cartoonish campaign will probably continue to flounder. Eventually, he’ll be imitating the essence, if not verbatim, of one of Porky the Pig’s memorable lines: “Eh Th-Th-Th …That’s All Folks.”
