JPMorgan Quickly Fires 1000 First Republic Bankers

Earlier this week, JPMorgan confirmed cynical observations that it was almost as if the regional bank crisis was designed to make JPMorgan bigger and billionaire CEO Jamie Dimon even richer, when the bank reveled during its investor day that the failure of First Republic Bank would boost JPM's top line - in this case the Net Interest Income - by at least 3 billion, as the bank generously accepted the bulk of FRC's viable loans while the FDIC was stuck holding on to the toxic (and worthless) leftovers.

But while JPM was more than happy to accept the free gift of FRC's loan book, it was far less excited about inheriting the expense side of the ledger, and sure enough, less than a month after JPM "acquired" First Republic (at a risk-free IRR of 20%+) with US taxpayer funding, JPMorgan has notified 1,000 First Republic Bank employees that they aren’t being given jobs — even temporarily — following its takeover of the failed lender.

According to Bloomberg, the biggest US bank on Thursday offered full-time or transitional roles to 85% of the nearly 7,000 employees still working at First Republic when it collapsed, while the rest were told they wouldn’t get offers. Those getting temporary offers would be offered jobs for three, six, nine or 12 months, depending on the position.

“Since our acquisition of First Republic on May 1, we’ve been transparent with their employees and kept our promise to update them on their employment status within 30 days,” a spokesperson for New York-based JPMorgan said in a statement. “We recognize that they have been under stress and uncertainty since March and hope that today will bring clarity and closure.”

First Republic employees who weren’t offered jobs at JPMorgan “will receive pay and benefits covering 60 days and will be offered a package that includes an additional lump-sum payment and continuing benefits coverage,” the spokesperson said; it wasn't clear if the FDIC would be footing those costs as well.

JPMorgan, which has 296,877 employees, beat out rivals in a "government-led auction" for First Republic, which was just another fund transfer from taxpayers to JPM, and which immediately boosted the company's top line by $3 billion. As part of its winning bid, JPMorgan "acquired" about $173 billion of First Republic’s best loans, $30 billion of securities and $92 billion in deposits, not to mention a peculiar, little $50 billion "term-financing" from the FDIC whose terms nobody has yet disclosed .

... and would then then decide what to do about its employees, dozens of whom had been paid more than $10 million a year, Bloomberg News reported earlier Thursday; needless to say, all those highly paid FRC bankers are now among the ranks of the unemployed, as JPM no longer needs the now defunct loan origination platform, and instead it will simply milk the existing loan portfolio for the next decade or so.

The Russian services protecting the head of state know their job well, the president's spokesman has said

Ukraine’s leadership has again demonstrated its “terrorist” nature by threatening to assassinate President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has said, while giving assurances that the Russian leader is well protected.

“A terrorist regime talks about its terrorist aspirations,” Peskov told the Rossiya 24 broadcaster on Thursday.

The spokesman was commenting on an acknowledgement by Vadim Skibitsky, deputy head of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), who told the German outlet Die Welt on Wednesday that Putin was on his agency’s kill list.

Peskov said such statements show that the military operation, launched by Russia in Ukraine in February 2022, was “more than justified, more than necessary and that it must be completed.”

Experts claim ‘mitigating’ Beijing’s surveillance could be ‘challenging’

A group of state-sponsored Chinese hackers have been conducting asophisticated surveillance operation on key US infrastructure assets, tech giant Microsoft claimed on Wednesday, warning that similar practices could be happening elsewhere in the world.

In a statement, Microsoft claimed that the group – which has been dubbed ‘Volt Typhoon’ – has been surveillingUS infrastructure organizations, including in thetelecommunications and transportation sectors, since mid-2021.It has also, the tech company said, conducted operations tospy on United States facilities in Guam, where key US military assets are housed in the Pacific Ocean. (Do SAT Phones for senators make sense now. Question why did they start in 2021, and not under Trump? Could it be Bidan cancels kicking out Chinese spys from America and the Universities? If you were China would you disable Guam, our communication and logistics hub, before you invaded Taiwan, so our Navy was disabled?)

Microsoft said that “mitigating this attack could be challenging” and that Beijing was makingefforts to reduce Washington’s abilities to communicate with the “Asian region.”

The tech company also claimed to have assessed with “moderate confidence” that this Volt Typhoon campaign was “pursuing the development of capabilities that could disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and the Asia region during future crises.”

Microsoft added that it believed the Volt Typhoon campaign to be targeting arange of US infrastructure sectors, including communications, manufacturing, utility, transportation, construction, maritime, government, information technology and education.

Beijing described the Microsoft report as “highly unprofessional” and dismissed it as “disinformation.”

Separately, on Wednesday, the Five Eyes intelligence network, comprised of agencies in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, issued a Cybersecurity Advisory (CSA), in which it highlighted a “recently discovered cluster of activity of interest” from what it said was the state-sponsored Volt Typhoon cyber actor in China.

The UK intelligence services also warned that methods used by Chinese hackers to infiltrate US systemscould be applied to other nations, according to The Guardian on Thursday.

In response, Beijing’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning, dismissed the Five Eyes hacking claims as a “collective disinformation campaign” that proved Washington was expanding its spread of disinformation outside of government agencies.(So will lefties regret pushing the words disinformation, misinformation and malinformation since Chinese is using it as a weapon? “But no matter what varied methods are used, none of this can change the fact that the United States is the empire of hacking,” Mao said.

Tensions between Beijing and Washington have increased in recent months, principally due to China’s claims that the United States is backing “secessionist forces” on the self-governing island of Taiwan – which Beijing claims as its territory. Washington, meanwhile, has also expressed concern at China’s military activities in the Indo-Pacific region.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) claimed Thursday that the U.S. government doesn’t financially support illegal immigrants, while federal dollars continue to fund nonprofits helping illegal migrants.

CBP asserted that “the U.S. government does not provide help or financial support for noncitizens.” However, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) runs the Emergency Food and Shelter program, which provides tens of millions of dollars every year to fund nongovernmental groups helping migrants, according to FEMA’s website.

Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott, who testified to Congress Tuesday that the U.S. government is using tax dollars to aid illegal immigrants, called the program “basically money being laundered to the NGOs.”

On FEMA’s website, there is a page that specifically outlines “funds for organizations assisting migrants,” which includes $350 million in already used funds in fiscal year 2023. The program has also provided more than $300 million to organizations helping migrants between fiscal 2019 and 2022.

Border Patrol releases illegal migrants to nonprofit organizations that help connect them with transportation as they await adjudication of their asylum claims. Nonprofit organizations such as the United Way, American Red Cross, Catholic Charities USA, The Jewish Federations of North America, National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, The Salvation Army and United Way Worldwide all lead FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter program and receive funding to help illegal immigrants through the program, according to the program’s website.

Moreover, an April report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that the Department of Homeland Security coordinates with and funds nonprofit organizations that help illegal migrants.

“DHS’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Emergency Food and Shelter Program provided more than $282 million in humanitarian relief grant funding to nonprofit and governmental organizations,” the report reads. “This grant funding covered services provided to noncitizens in fiscal years 2019, 2021, and 2022.”

FBI searches home linked to multiple Memphis politicians

The home of a Memphis City Council member and Shelby County commissioner was searched Thursday by the FBI in Tennessee.

A spokesperson for the FBI told Fox News Digital that the search was conducted at the Memphis home, which property records show is owned by Memphis City Council member Edmund Ford, Sr.

The home is also associated with his son, Edmund Ford, Jr., who is a Shelby County commissioner, a campaign filing from March indicates.

The US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland told an audience in Kiev on Thursday thatWashingtonhas beenhelping plan the Ukrainian ‘counteroffensive’ against Russia for almost half a year.

“Even as you plan for the counteroffensive, whichwe have been working on with you for some 4-5 months, we are already beginning our discussions with [the] Ukrainian government and with friends in Kiev – both on the civilian side and on the military side –about Ukraine’s long-term future,” Nuland told the Kiev Security Forum via video-link from the State Department.

She added that the attackwill be “likely starting and moving concurrently” with events such as the NATO summit in Lithuania, scheduled for July 11.

According to Nuland, the US is also planning for Ukraine’s future military to deter Russia, so “wherever and however this ends – one year, six years, 16 years – we are not doing this again.” She also painted a rosy picture of a future in which Ukraine would be the “engine of Europe’s revitalization” and “setting the democratic example… for the whole world.”

The forum was organized by the Open Ukraine Foundation, established by former Ukrainian PM Arseny Yatseniuk, who moderated the panel at which Nuland spoke. Another panel was co-sponsored by the Atlantic Council, whose officials argued that “transatlantic unity and robust support can help Ukraine defeat Russia and renew European security.”

The government in Kiev had been heralding a major “counteroffensive” for months. President Vladimir Zelensky and other Ukrainian officialshave argued that they didn’t have quite enough weapons, ammunition and equipment and needed the West to send more. As of Thursday, two of Zelensky’s advisers gave public statements implying the offensive hasn’t started yet, while a third insisted it was already underway along the 1,500-kilometer long frontline.

Nuland famously traveled to Kiev to support the Maidan protests in December 2013, handing out pastries to the crowds demanding a pact with the EU. In a February 2014 phone call, she discussed the composition of the future Ukrainian government with US ambassador to Kiev Geoffrey Pyatt. Three weeks later, the nationalists would violently seize power from President Viktor Yanukovich, triggering events that would lead to Crimea rejoining Russia and clashes in the Donbass.

Returning to the State Department in 2021as part of Joe Biden’s administration, Nuland wasonce again put in charge of Ukraine policy. Speaking at a Carnegie Foundation event in February, she said theconquest of Crimea and regime change in Moscow would be the ideal outcome of the current conflict. Hersister-in-law Kimberly Kagan runs the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), a Washington advocacy group frequently quoted by Western media about the situation on the Ukraine frontline.

Pentagon reveals value of military aid pumped into Ukraine

The US and its allies have poured $65 billion of weaponry into the country, according to US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin (Head Gorilla

The so-calledUkraine Defense Contact Grouphas committed almost $65 billion in military aid to prop up Kiev in the ongoing conflict with Moscow, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has revealed.

The Pentagon boss made the estimate during the 12th meeting of the group, which brings togetherall 31 NATO nations, as well as a handful of ‘non-aligned’ countries. Washington is “committed to standing with Ukraine for the long haul,” Austin announced.

“In total, the Contact Group has committed nearly $65 billion in security assistance,” he said, claiming that Ukraine’s backers remain “as united as ever.”

“And, last week, President Biden announced that the United States will support a joint effort with our allies and partners to train Ukrainian pilots on fourth-generation aircraft, including F-16s. We hope this training will begin in the coming weeks,” Austin declared.

Apart from supplying modern combat aircraft to Kiev, the US is now focusing onproviding Ukraine with “additional air-defense systems and munitions,” he said. The air defenses are “crucial” for “protecting Ukraine’s skies and civilian infrastructure from Russia’s assault,”he added.

Moscowhas consistently said it has been exclusivelytargeting military or dual-purpose targets in the country. It has also accused Kiev of subjecting the country’s cities near the frontlines to indiscriminate artillery and rocket attacks, which have resulted in multiple civilian casualties over the course of the ongoing conflict.

Russia has repeatedly warned Ukraine’s Western backers against pouring assorted weaponry into the country, as doing so would only prolong the conflict and inflict more suffering on Ukrainian civilians.

This stance was reiterated by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu on Thursday, as he accused Kiev’s supporters of “forcing” its troops into battle to show “tactical successes”no matter what.

“The West is forcing the Kiev regime, regardless of losses, to show tactical successes andwillingness to fight ‘to the last Ukrainian’and pumping it with weapons,”Shoigu stated at a meeting of the council of defense ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Minsk, Belarus.

Kiev regime must cease to exist – ex-Russian president

Otherwise, the conflict in Ukraine may last for decades, Dmitry Medvedev has claimed

There is no doubt that Ukraine has no future in its current form, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday, outlining three possible scenarios for the collapse of its statehood and assessing the risks of renewed conflict in Europe and a global war.

“This conflict will last for long. For decades, probably. This is a new reality,” the former Russian leader, now the vice-chair of the national security council, told journalists upon wrapping his visit to Vietnam earlier this week.

“It is necessary to destroy the very nature of the Nazi government in Kiev,” Medvedev added, claiming that otherwise the conflict could drag on perpetually, with “three years of truce, two years of conflict, rinse and repeat.”

In a Telegram post on Thursday evening, Medvedev elaborated that thecollapse of Ukraine’s statehood is inevitable, and could either happen quickly, or through a “relatively slow erosion, with the gradual loss of remaining elements of sovereignty.” He went even further to outline exactly how he believes the “Kiev regime” would cease to exist.

In the first scenario, parts of Western Ukrainewill come under control and eventually be annexedby the neighboringEuropean Unionstates, Medvedev claimed. The remaining “no man’s land” wedged between Russia and the EU protectorate will become the “new Ukraine,” still striving to join NATO and posing a threat to Russia. In that case, he believes, the armed conflict will shortly reignite, likely becoming permanent with a risk of quickly escalating into a full-blown world war.

In the second scenario,Ukraine would get a government-in-exilebut de-facto cease to exist, with control over its entire territory split between the EU and Russia. In that case, according to Medvedev, the risk of world war is “moderate,” but the “terrorist activity by Ukrainian neo-Nazis” on the territories annexed by the EU neighbors would drag on.

Medvedev said he wouldpreferthe third scenario, in whichUkraine’s Western territories voluntarily join their EU neighbors, while the Eastern and some central regions exercise their “right for self-determination sealed in Article 1 of the UN Charter.”

Officials in Moscow have said repeatedly that the root cause of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine stems from decades of Western disregard of Russian national security. Back in 2021, the Kremlin made an attempt to push NATO to negotiate on long-standing political and defense grievances, but was ignored. In late February 2022, Russia launched its military operation to curb the threat, and now calls for a neutral, non-aligned status for a demilitarized and denazified Ukraine, insists Kiev drops its plans to join NATO and the EU and demands Kiev confirms its non-nuclear status.

Medvedevwas president of Russia between 2008 and 2012, and then prime minister until 2020. Currently, he serves as the deputy head of the national security council, which is formally chaired by President Vladimir Putin. Despite his prior reputation as a moderate liberal,he has been far more hawkish on Ukraine than the official Kremlin.

Up to 100,000 people in NL believe in “evil elite” theory: AIVD

An estimated 100,000 people in the Netherlands may believe the world is being ruled by an ‘evil elite’ “to some extent”, and the conspiracy theory is currently the most popular one among extremist groups, the AIVD security service says in a new report.

The idea that an elite wants world domination and to subordinate, enslave or even kill ordinary people is widespread and therefore potentially a long-term threat to democracy in the Netherlands, the AIVD said.

This view of the world is factually wrong, the AIVD said, but if a growing group keep repeating it, more people may lose their trust in the institutions on which the rule of law is based, and that will pressure democracy itself.

Although those spreading the theories do not explicitly encourage violence, the narrative could lead to violence against the so-called representatives of this “evil elite”, the report states.

It points out that threats against politicians, journalists, scientists and lawyers are all increasing, particularly since the coronavirus pandemic, and in some cases have involved physical intimidation.

At the same time, “increasing society’s resilience to the anti-institutional narrative is essential,” the AIVD said. “Trust in government and institutions is low and there is often a lot of justified criticism, but this can become a breeding ground for anti-institutional extremism.”

National statistics agency CBS said earlier this month that public trust in parliament and politicians has plunged to an all-time low but trust in the police, health service and legal system remains close to 80%.

The survey suggests 25% of the over-15s had trust in parliament in the final quarter of last year and just 21% had confidence in politicians. The figure is the lowest since the research was first carried out in 2012.

“People must be able to criticize the government in a healthy democracy and criticism, protest and demonstrations against policy are essential in a democracy,’ home affairs minister Hanke Bruins Slot said in a reaction to MPs.

At the same time, she said, ministers and MPs must look in the mirror and recognize where things have gone wrong, such as with the childcare benefits scandal and Groningen earthquakes.

Politicians must regain the trust of voters and “reconnect with society” by becoming more responsive and service-driven. The AIVD report, she said, is a reminder of the need to protect democracy, “not only against the potential threat of extremism, but also against the more insidious erosion of the trust and respect.”

A sign of a civilization in headlong decline is its embrace of absurdities. Unfortunately for the United States, we are witnessing an epidemic of nihilist nonsense. Here are a few examples:

Reparations

How could a dysfunctional state like California even contemplate $800 billion in reparations?

The state currently faces a $31 billion annual deficit—and it’s climbing. The state’s $100 billion high-speed rail project is inert, a veritable Stonehenge of concrete monoliths without a foot of track laid down.

California’s income tax rates are already the highest in the nation. Its sales taxes, electricity rates, and gas taxes and prices are among the steepest in the country. And for what?

Crime, homelessness, and medieval decay characterize the once great downtowns of San Francisco and Los Angeles. It is now not safe to walk alone in any major California city after dark.

Shoplifting and smash-and-grab theft are no longer treated as real crimes. The result is the mass flight of brand stores from our downtowns and inner cities, with all the accustomed cries of “racism,” even as racist public prosecutors pick and choose whether to indict the arrested on the basis of race.

California infrastructure, once the best in the county, is now among the worst. Decaying and crowded freeways, inadequate water storage, and pot-holed streets are the new norm. Once robust gas, oil, mining, and timber industries are nearly inert.

The state’s public schools are dysfunctional. Once premier public universities are spiraling headlong into decline—junking scholastic tests for admissions, using illegal racial quotas to warp admissions, and institutionalizing racialized dorms and graduation ceremonies.

Even if California enjoyed a huge surplus, even if 300,000 residents were not fleeing the state each year, even if California had a history of being a Confederate slave state, even if whites were the majority of the population, even if the black population was greater than its present 5-6 percent, it would be insane for the state to even contemplate racial reparations.

Twenty-seven percent of the state’s residents were born outside of the United States, and have no American ancestors. The state is the most racially diverse in America, and one in which every group could, in theory, lodge complaints against the dead of the past. Mexican-Americans, Armenians, Asians, and the descendants of the impoverished “Okie” diaspora could all cite legacies of bias—but from whom exactly? The long dead?

For those of increasingly mixed heritage—about a quarter of the state—did their own ancestors oppress their own ancestors? Are all blacks sure that eight generations ago their individual ancestors were slaves outside of California, and therefore they have monetary grievances against those in the state whose ancestors eight generations ago might have owned slaves outside of California? And can such writs be documented?

Do we really wish to go down this path of destroying individuality and insisting that superficial appearance damns us to a collective rooted in the past?

If so, are we to tally up the half-century role of racial quotas to calibrate all the impoverished whites of the last 50 years who were discriminated against in admissions and hiring? Have there not been existing reparations from the decades-long implementations of racial preferences and exemptions—or perhaps in some $20 trillion dollars in reparatory transferences during a half-century of Great Society entitlements?

If we are collectives and not individuals anymore, are all of us to be judged by adding up our group’s historical and current pluses and minuses?

If so, do we add or subtract reparatory charges based on group data? If one race is vastly overrepresented in hate crimes or interracial crime statistics, and other groups vastly underrepresented as perpetrators, is it the role of the state now to intervene and provide reparatory and collective “equity” from one collective for the relatives of the victims of another collective?

Are we really convinced that past institutional racial bias is all-determinative of present opportunity? If so, why do Asians nationally as a collective on average earn $20,000 a year more than non-Hispanic whites—despite past exclusionary immigration laws, forced government relocations, and zoning prohibitions? Was there some unknown university study that postulated that the Japanese-internment or early 20th century Yellow Peril exclusionary immigration statutes were irrelevant to Asian-American upward mobility?

Special counsel John Durham just issued his final report on wrongdoing within the FBI, CIA, and the Department of Justice.

The summary confirms that our premier investigatory and intelligence agencies interfered in the 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns.

Directors and high-ranking FBI officials lied under oath. They misled Congress. They altered court documents and deceived federal judges.

The FBI hired a foreign national to gather dirt on Donald Trump's 2016 campaign - while he was being paid by the rival Hillary Clinton campaign.

The FBI contracted Twitter to suppress news stories. It kept the Hunter Biden laptop under wraps, even as former intelligence officials flat-out lied it was likely "Russian disinformation." That was a blatant effort to aid the 2020 Biden campaign.

The IRS just conceded whistleblowers were correct and the agency fired its entire multi-year audit team responsible for investigating Hunter Biden's purported tax irregularities.

The agency claimed it was ordered to do so by the Department of Justice, headed by Biden's appointee Merrick Garland.

California is facing a crushing $32 billion deficit. Yet it flirts with an $800 billion-dollar "reparations" payout to the state's Black residents.

No one has any idea where the money for that would come from. No one can define who would qualify. No one can explain why a state that never allowed slavery eight generations ago now owes selected Californians billions of dollars it does not have.

One of the reparations board leaders asserts Blacks might be willing to accept an "installment" plan of payments.

The NAACP just issued a "travel alert" advising Blacks not to visit Florida. The announcement was timed to draw negative attention to conservative Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' announcement of a presidential bid.

Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and Indianapolis - all outside Florida - have the highest Black murder rates in the nation.

Florida by contrast, with a Black population of 3.3 million, has the second-largest number of Black businesses in the nation. The chairman of the NAACP's board of directors is himself a Florida resident!

Black Lives Matter has just announced it lost millions of dollars in investments and ran up huge deficits. The culprit was its former corrupt leadership.

I openly predicted last year, when Ron DeSantis announces his candidacy, we will have the most fun in a presidential primary in history. The last 24 hours have been absolutely hilarious. If you are not having fun at the expense of the DeSantis billionaire funders, you are doing it wrong.

Candidate Ron DeSantis cannot even hold a public event in the state of Florida because the only people who support him are the isolated group immediately around him and the Selfie-My-Lunch crowd who are disconnected from the average life of a Floridian.

Have you ever heard of a presidential candidate launching a campaign and NOT holding a public event in his/her home state to do it?

Most people are overlooking the obvious. His handlers could not run the risk of a public event for their principal. What does that tell you about the candidate?

Everything, and I do mean everything, about Ron DeSantis is manufactured, fake, and phony; especially the claimed support that you see pushed by national media and the right-wing alt-media that are placing their bets to be paid by the massive financial mechanism behind the DeSantis management team. Floridians can see through it, and the handlers are hoping the sunlight doesn’t spread to Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

In the state of Florida, support for Ron DeSantis 2024 is maybe in the 15 to 20% range (I’m being generous), beyond that he is not liked at all. I travel the state and talk to blue-collar ordinary people all the time, there is no grassroots support for the fraud that DeSantis has perpetrated on the state. This announcement has left him naked to the realization of his character as a raw political opportunist.

Once you realize all of this hype is manufactured and phony, you can have buckets of fun with it. All of the DeSantis Republican supporters are predictable like the Cruz Crew was in 2016. Their arguments and policy points are as shallow, false, and fake as their candidate. Call them out.

Look at DeSantis's history, he was the lockdown beach closer during COVID-19 and he had people arrested for opening their businesses. In 2021, long after President Trump was out of office, Ron DeSantis suspended the liquor licenses of non-compliant bars and restaurants. Don’t let the Ukraine management team (Pushaw Inc.) attempt to rewrite it.

WATCH: FRAUD! Maricopa County Signature Reviewer Approves 30 Signatures in 30 Seconds

Another video shows a level one Maricopa County signature review employee verifying 2022 ballot affidavit envelope signatures in about one second per signature.

In Lake’s December trial, Katie Hobbs’ attorneys claimed that ballots didn’t need to have chain of custody documentation because “every ballot received by Maricopa County is processed, checked against the voter registration record to make sure the person hasn’t already voted, and then verified by a multi-level signature review process.” However, their “multi-level” process clearly does not work.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported on video footage of the same Maricopa County signature reviewer clicking through signature checks and approving them in less than two seconds each. This footage was presented by Lake’s attorneys at trial.

Another video estimates that this individual approved over 5,600 signatures in one two-hour period alone.

Below, he can be seen verifying 30 signatures in 30 seconds after appearing to wake up from a nap.

The person in those videos — and the video below — “verified” almost 27,000 signatures alone, which is 10,000 more than the margin of victory. He is just one of many employees who verified tens of thousands of signatures in seconds each without comparing them to the signature on file.

Maricopa County Election Director Rey Valenzuela testified that this individual was “removed from the process,” and County attorney Tom Liddy also made this representation. However, the evidence proves that he was not removed from the process but continued in his role until the last day.

Kari Lake attorney Kurt Olsen told the Court, “11 of the signature verification workers approved 170k signatures at a rate of less than 0 and 2.99 seconds with a 99.97% approval rating.” additionally, Olsen stated, “there were approximately 274,000 ballot signatures compared and verified in less than three seconds.”

However, as The Gateway Pundit reported, on Monday, Thompson again ruled in favor of Defendants, claiming that “level one and level two signature review did take place in some fashion.”

In a Motion for Sanctions against Kari Lake on Wednesday, the findings of hundreds of thousands of signatures impossibly verified in mere seconds each went undisputed by Maricopa County because their own log file data proves this. They know it’s true!

The Gateway Pundit reported that Kari Lake announced during a press conference that she will appeal Thompson’s bogus ruling all the way to the US Supreme Court.

Elon Musk’s Brain-Computer Company “Neuralink” Receives FDA Approval to Launch Human Clinical Trial

Elon Musk’s brain-implant company Neuralink announced on Thursday that it has been granted official approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to launch its first-in-human clinical study.

“We are excited to share that we have received the FDA’s approval to launch our first-in-human clinical study!” Neuralink wrote on Twitter.

“This is the result of incredible work by the Neuralink team in close collaboration with the FDA and represents an important first step that will one day allow our technology to help many people,” it added.

The company said recruitment is not yet open for the clinical trial. However, anyone interested to participate in the clinical trial can register their information on Neuralink’s patient registry.

According to the website, “anyone within the United States who is at least 18 years old and the age of majority in their state, who is able to consent, and who has quadriplegia, paraplegia, vision loss, hearing loss, and/or the inability to speak, is invited to participate in the Patient Registry.”

Adding, “If you participate in the Patient Registry and we determine that you meet preliminary eligibility for future clinical trials, we may contact you to inform you of these trials once they become available.”

The goal of Neuralink is to develop a brain-machine interface technology, often referred to as a neural lace, that establishes a direct connection between the human brain and external computer.

The brain-implant interface developed by Neuralink involves the insertion of tiny, flexible electrode threads into the brain. These threads are thinner than human hair and are designed to minimize damage to brain tissue during the implantation process. The threads contain numerous electrodes that can detect and stimulate neural activity.

One of the primary objectives of Neuralink’s brain-implant interface is to address neurological conditions such as paralysis, spinal cord injuries, and various brain disorders.

"The taxpayer must render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, but no more," wrote Chief Justice John Roberts.

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled unanimously that states may not keep the excess proceeds from selling a property seized to satisfy delinquent taxes.

The justices ruled 9-0 in favor of Minnesota woman Geraldine Tyler, 94, who had owed roughly $15,000 in property taxes, Reuters reported. In 2016, Hennepin County foreclosed on her home and sold it for $40,000 but kept the excess. Minnesota state law requires that any remaining proceeds from such a sale go to local administrations. Lawyers for Tyler indicated that 13 other states have comparable statutes.

Tyler moved out of her condominium and into an apartment building for the elderly in 2010, at which point she ceased paying taxes on the condo. The county insisted that she had refused alternative options to secure the funds necessary to pay the taxes, such as selling the property or refinancing.

The justices, nonetheless, determined that the excess $25,000 did not rightfully belong to the county.

"The taxpayer must render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, but no more," wrote Chief Justice John Roberts. The court determined that such a practice violated the 5th Amendment, which requires "just compensation" should "private property be taken for public use."

"A taxpayer who loses her $40,000 house to the state to fulfill a $15,000 tax debt has made a far greater contribution to the public fisc than she owed," Roberts added.

Hennepin County Assistant County Administrator Dan Rogan indicated that the county "will work closely with the Minnesota Legislature to create a process that is consistent with the Supreme Court's decision."

Tyler had also argued that the fines the county imposed were excessive and in violation of the Eighth Amendment, but the court did not address that claim. She owed $2,300 in back taxes, but fines and penalties had swollen the amount to $15,000, USA Today reported.

Biden plan to combat antisemitism calls for online reforms, more security funding

Strategy aims to streamline reporting of hate crimes, boost education in rural areas, hold social media companies more accountable; hedges on embracing IHRA definition

US President Joe Biden unveiled a multifaceted and broad strategy to combat antisemitism in the United States that reaches from basketball courts to farming communities, from college campuses to police departments.

“We must say clearly and forcefully that antisemitism and all forms of hate and violence have no place in America,” Biden said in a prerecorded video. “Silence is complicity.”

The 60-page document and its list of more than 100 recommendations stretches across the government, requiring reforms in virtually every sector of the executive branch within a year. It was formulated after consultations with over a thousand experts, and covers a range of tactics, from increased security funding to a range of educational efforts.

The plan has been in the works since December, and the White House has consulted with large Jewish organizations throughout the process. The finished document embraces proposals that Jewish groups have long advocated, as well as initiatives that pleasantly surprised Jewish organizational leaders, most of whom praised it upon its release.

Among the proposals that Jewish leaders have called for were recommendations to streamline reporting of hate crimes across local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, which will enable the government to accurately assess the breadth of hate crimes. The proposal also recommends that Congress double the funds available to nonprofits for security measures, from $180 million to $360 million.

One proposal that, if enacted, could be particularly far-reaching — and controversial — is a call for Congress to pass “fundamental reforms” to a provision that shields social media platforms from liability for the content users post on their sites. The plan says social media companies should have a “zero tolerance policy for hate speech on their platforms.”

In addition, the plan calls for action in partnership with a range of government agencies and private entities. It says the government will work with professional sports leagues to educate fans about antisemitism and hold athletes accountable for it, following instances of antisemitic speech by figures such as NBA star Kyrie Irving or NFL player DeSean Jackson.

The government will also partner with rural museums and libraries to educate their visitors about Jewish heritage and antisemitism. And the plan includes actions to be taken by a number of cabinet departments, from the Department of Veterans Affairs to the USDA.

“It’s really producing a whole-of-government approach that stretches from what you might consider the obvious things like more [security] grants and more resources for the Justice Department and the FBI,” said Nathan Diament, the Washington director of the Orthodox Union. “But it stretches all the way across things that the Department of Labor and the Small Business Administration can do with regard to educating about antisemitism, that the National Endowment of the Humanities and the President’s Council on Sports and Fitness can do with regard to the institutions that they deal with.”

An array of Jewish organizations from the left to the center-right echoed those sentiments in welcoming the plan with enthusiasm, marking a change from recent weeks in which they had been split over how the plan should define antisemitism. Still, a handful of right-wing groups blasted the strategy, saying that its chosen definition of antisemitism diluted the term.

The Biden administration is set to end familial DNA testing at the US-Mexico border, which has been key to preventing the fraudulent entry of many illegal immigrants and mitigating child trafficking, according to a memo obtained by Just The News.

The DNA testing was originally implemented in the Trump-era and utilized by Customs Border Protection – following a court order related to the separation of migrant children from their families and evidence drug cartels were using children to create fake family units to sneak illegal immigrants across the border.

But over the weekend, a CBP memo sent to frontline border agents announced the testing will cease when its vendor contract expires this month.

"The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) familial DNA contract with BODE Technologies will end on May 31, 2023 and all familial DNA testing will conclude on that date," the memo reads.

The memo also states such collecting and testing of familial DNA is "separate" from "booking" DNA collection, which is done by the FBI, and that BODE’s expiring contract "does not impact collections as part of the CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) program," which is expected to proceed “uninterrupted.”

CBP has identified numerous family fraud attempts by illegals over the years. In 2022, a government accountability office report found that roughly 1 in 10 (8.5%) of children tested turned out not to be related to the illegal aliens who were crossing with them.

Other reports have found as many as 30% of suspected migrant fraud families shared no familial relation whatsoever.

No injuries have been reported after two UAVs crashed, Veniamin Kondratyev says

Two drones hit a residential area in the city of Krasnodar in southern Russia, local governor Veniamin Kondratyev has said, confirming earlier media reports.

The UAVs crashed on Morskaya Street in the center of the city, Kondratyev wrote on Telegram on Friday, adding that no injuries have been reported.

“There is damage to buildings, but critical infrastructure remained unharmed,” he stated.

An investigation has been launched and the local authorities will provide assistance to anyone whose home was damaged in the incident, the governor added.

(The US, EU and NATO supposedly gave Zelensky a mandate that Ukraine cannot use the weapons sent to them, to be used inside of Russia’s territories. I suspect Russia will hit locations where drones are kept. Russia has carefully targeted military and not civilian targets, Ukraine want to kill any and all Russian’s; and they have targeted civilians since at least the Maidan Color Revolution. This against international law to attack civilians but the UN refuses to get involved, just like they did with Biolabs discovery.)

Kiev won’t achieve its military objectives in the near term, Joint Chiefs chair Milley has said

No military solution to the fighting in Ukraine will arise in the near future, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, told reporters at the Pentagon on Thursday.

Milley spoke alongside Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin after a virtual meeting of the‘Ukrainian Defense Contact Group’, a collection of Western countries pledging to supply Kiev with weapons, equipment and ammunition to use against Russia –while insisting they are not a party to the conflict.

Ukraine’s strategic objectives are to take all the territory “occupied” by Russia, where “a couple hundred thousand” Russian troops are currently positioned, Milley told reporters. “That might be achievablemilitarily, but probably not in the near term.”

“That means fighting is going to continue. It's gonna be bloody. It's gonna be hard. And at some point both sides will either negotiate a settlement or they will come to a military conclusion,” he said. Meanwhile, the US will continue supporting Ukraine.

Austin and Milley insisted throughout that Kiev was not losing.They painted the months-long battle for Bakhmut, which Ukraine lost, as a triumph of defense. They also claimed that the Ukrainians were using the US-supplied Patriot air defense systems “very effectively.” The Russian Defense Ministry said it had used Kinzhal hypersonic missiles to destroy a Patriot battery in the Ukrainian capital earlier this month. (We have fools as military leaders. Ukraine sent conscripts to Bakhmut to die, they knew it was a lost cause and a vanity operation for Zelensky.)

Milley also defended the decision not to send F-16 fighters to Ukraine sooner, arguing that the US was not ramping up weapons deliveries as a result of public pressure, but always sending Kiev precisely what it needed at any given moment, using “hardcore military analysis” of cost, benefit and risk.

Deploying just ten F-16 fighters would cost $2 billion, including operations and maintenance, Milley explained, while Russia has over 1,000 modern jets. So the decision was made to supply Kiev with air defenses first, and send the F-16s as a more long-term solution.

“It's going to take a considerable length of time to build up an air force that's the size and scope and scale that'll be necessary,” Milley said. He also cautioned reporters to curb their enthusiasm, as “there are no magic weapons. An F-16 is not, and neither is anything else.”

It has been known since February that Milley would retire at some point this year. On Thursday, US President Joe Biden nominated as his replacement the current Air Force chief of staff, General Charles Q. Brown Jr.

A German national has beensentenced to three years in prisonfor expressing online support for the Russian side in the Ukraine conflict

A Hamburg court has sentenced a local man to three years behind bars, finding him guilty of justifying “Russian aggression” against Ukraine and possessing an illegal weapon.

The 32-year-old defendant, identified only as Marcel J., ran a pro-Russian Telegram channel, with its logo and name based on the unregistered ultranationalist Russian Drugaya Rossiya (Other Russia) party, Die Welt reported, citing the indictment.

Apart from sharing “pro-Russian national-Bolshevik ideas,” thedefendant openly branded Ukraine a “terrorist state” and used the ‘Z’ symbol– commonly associated with Moscow’s special military operation in the country – which had been partially banned in Germany. Moreover, Marcel J. was found in possession of an illegally large knife, deemed to be a bladed weapon.

His co-defendant, identified only as a 35-year-old man, was accused of being an accomplice but received only six months in jail. A court spokesman explained that the lengthy term for Marcel J. was largely due to his previous criminal record and, in particular, a recent conviction for assaulting a reporter at a public event in late 2021.

The man was convicted for the assault in April by a Berlin court and sentenced to two years and four months in prison. Now, the two convictions will be combined, as required by German law.
