Main Russian objective in Ukraine already achieved – Lukashenko

Moscow has ensured Kiev will never again be a threat, the Belarusian president has said

Russia has already reached the principal aim of its military operation in Ukraine, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview aired on Thursday.

“As of today, the goals of the special military operation have been met,” Lukashenko told Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko, during a two-hour interview posted on YouTube.

“Ukraine will never be so aggressive towards Russia after this war ends, as it was before. Ukraine will be different. People in power [there] will be more cautious, smart, more cunning if you will,” Lukashenko said.

His comments came in response to a question by Panchenko whether Russian President Vladimir Putin had ever revealed the conditions under which Moscow would consider that the operation had achieved its objectives.

“We never discussed that topic in that spirit,” Lukashenko replied, “but I can tell you what my position is.”

Belarus is part of the Union State with Russia, and has been sanctioned by the US and its allies over the Ukraine conflict. While Belarusian troops have not taken part in the hostilities, Russian forces had used the country’s territory for their initial deployment near Kiev.

In a speech in early June, Lukashenko noted that the conflict did not begin in February 2022, or even with the 2014 US-backed coup in Kiev, pointing instead to the 2004 “Orange Revolution” in Ukraine.

“Everything was leading up to this. Probably the only mistake we made was that we did not resolve this issue in 2014-2015, when Ukraine had neither an army nor resolve,” he said.

Instead, Russia chose the path of diplomacy with the Minsk Agreements, brokered by Germany and France. Former leaders of the two countries, Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande, admitted last fall that the purported roadmap for peace was a ploy to buy Kiev time for building up Ukrainian armed forces.

GOP Demands Biden Emails Using Pseudonym After Hunter CC'd On Ukraine Call

House Republican investigators have asked the National Archives to hand over any unredacted records in which then-VP Joe Biden used a pseudonym.

Previously released emails retrieved from Hunter's abandoned laptop reveal that Biden used a "Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov" email address while he was serving as Vice President of the United States. What's more, that Biden aide John Flynn cc'd Hunter on 10 emails which contained Joe's daily schedule between May 19 and June 15, 2016.

One of the emails details plans for a phone call with Ukraine's former president, Petro Poroshenko. Flynn copied Hunter at his email address at Rosemont Seneca Partners - while Hunter was serving on the board of Ukrainian energy giant, Burisma, which was deemed to be corrupt by the Obama-Biden State Department.

"Boss-8:45am prep for 9am phone call with Pres Poroshenko. Then we're off to Rhode Island for infrastructure event and then Wilmington for UDel commencement," Flynn wrote. "Nate will have your draft remarks delivered later tonight or with your press clips in the morning."

The House Oversight Committee request primarily is focused on Hunter’s $1 million per year position on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma, which hired the then-second son in early 2014 as his dad assumed control of the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy.

But the broad request for records involving the president’s pseudonyms could turn up a variety of content, including about other Biden family ventures in countries such as China. -NY Post

According to a letter from House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, "The Committee’s need for these Vice-Presidential records is specific and well- documented," adding "The Committee seeks to craft legislative solutions aimed at deficiencies it has identified in the current legal framework regarding ethics laws and disclosure of financial interests related to the immediate family members of Vice Presidents and Presidents— deficiencies that may place American national security and interests at risk."

"The Committee seeks unrestricted special access/ ... These records have been redacted for public release pursuant to the PRA and FOIA. For example, an email bearing the subject “Friday Schedule Card,” is withheld in part under a “P6” and “b(6)” restrictions, denoting personal information regarding the subject under the PRA and FOIA respectively," Comer wrote.

"Attached to this email, and made available on the NARA website, is a document that indicates at 9:00 a.m. on May 27, 2016, Vice President Biden took a call with the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko," he added. "It is concerning to the Committee, however, that this document was sent to “Robert L. Peters”—a pseudonym the Committee has identified as then Vice- President Biden. Additionally, the Committee questions why the then-Vice President’s son, Hunter Biden—and only Hunter Biden—was copied on this email to then-Vice President Biden."

As Just the News further notes, The letter requested special access to specific documents, including any:

"Document or communication in which a pseudonym for Vice President Joe Biden was included either as a sender, recipient, copied or was included in the contents of the document or communication, including but not limited to Robert Peters, Robin Ware, and JRB Ware;

"Document or communication in which Hunter Biden, Eric Schwerin, or Devon Archer was included either as a sender, recipient, copied, or was included in the contents of the document or communication; and

"Drafts from November 1, 2015 to December 9, 2015 of then-Vice President Biden’s speech delivered to the Ukrainian Rada on December 9, 2015."

3 People Have Died After Infection With Rare Flesh-Eating Bacteria in Connecticut and New York

At least three people have died in Connecticut and New York after contracting a rare flesh-eating bacteria that can be found in warm, brackish waters, or raw shellfish, officials confirmed Wednesday.

Two people in Connecticut became infected with Vibrio vulnificus and died after swimming in two separate locations on Long Island Sound, according to Christopher Boyle, director of communications for the state’s Department of Public Health.

A third person was infected in July after eating raw oysters from an out-of-state establishment, according to the Department of Public Health. All three were between 60 and 80 years old, according to the department.

The virus has also been detected in an individual who died in Long Island, Gov. Kathy announced Wednesday. Officials are still investigating the death in Suffolk County to determine whether the bacteria was encountered in New York waters or elsewhere, according to the news release.

Vibrio vulnificus comes from the same family as the bacteria that causes cholera.

A mild case of the bacterial infection vibriosis can cause skin wounds, blisters, abscesses, and ulcers. It typically includes chills, fever, diarrhea, stomach pain, and possibly vomiting. In more severe cases, people can develop septicemia. This is more common for those with underlying health conditions, particularly liver disease, cancer, diabetes, HIV, or other diseases that suppress the immune system.

Anyone can get vibriosis, but people with an open wound, such as a cut or scrape, a recent piercing or a new tattoo, should avoid exposing skin to warm seawater in coastal environments or cover the area with a waterproof bandage, the news release says.

Doctors say it is important to seek treatment quickly if you develop a skin infection after possible exposure to the bacteria.

Vibrio vulnificus causes an estimated 80,000 illnesses and 100 deaths in the United States every year, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Officials Advising People to Be Cautious

Officials from Connecticut and New York are advising people to take precautions before consuming raw oysters or being exposed to salty or brackish water.

“People should consider the potential risk of consuming raw oysters and exposure to salt or brackish water and take appropriate precautions,” Dr. Manisha Juthani, commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Public Health, said in a news release on July 28. “Particularly during the hottest months of the summer, bacteria are more likely to overgrow and contaminate raw shellfish.”

New York’s governor echoed those sentiments Wednesday.

Alabama doctor claims males will be able to give birth using transplanted wombs

“I think that it is certainly medically possible. The future is wide open.”

A leading surgeon at the University of Alabama says that it will be medically possible for transgender women to give birth to their own children through the innovation of womb transplants in the near future.

Dr. Paige Porrett, the lead surgeon at the Comprehensive Transplant Institute at UAB, who specializes in womb transplants for women born without uteruses or have had hysterectomies, believes that doctors will be able to offer these same procedures to biological men that have transitioned into women, which would allow them to give birth, according to Daily Mail.

“I think there's a lot of providers, such as myself, who would envision that is the case,” Dr. Porrett told Daily Mail. “I think that it is certainly medically possible. The future is wide open.”

However, due to the high-risk nature of the procedure, Dr. Porrett warns that it is too early to perform these surgeries on men who believe themselves to be the opposite sex due to multiple factors that could cause serious complications, which include hormone replacement therapy and previous gender-affirming surgeries.

“I think it'll happen in the future, but there's going to be a lot more work that our community needs to do to be able to offer that safely,” Dr. Porrett told Daily Mail.

Dr. Porrett explained that the procedure is considered extremely high-risk for biological women already, and men have obvious anatomical differences in their reproductive systems. Males are unable to produce eggs or carry children, even if those men have had genital surgery to give their penises the appearance of a vagina.

"It's a big operation," Dr. Porrett said. "There's not many transplant surgeons like myself, either in the States or in the world, frankly, that can do this procedure."

The Daily Mail reported that "Doing this in a transgender woman, especially one who still has male sex organs, would be even more difficult due to those anatomical differences. Hormone replacement therapy and gender reassignment surgery could make it more difficult for a trans patient to produce enough eggs for IVF, which is part of the transplant protocol." The Daily Mail does not mention that males do not produce eggs and cannot produce eggs, never mind "enough" for IVF.

Men who have undergone penile inversion and vaginoplasty are still men, though contemporary parlance continues to refer to them as women, for fear of hurting their feelings. Men do not conceive or carry young.

The Uterus Transplant Program at University of Alabama is one of only four in the United States that conducts uterine transplants, and it is the first to do so outside of a clinical trial.

These transplants have only been done approximately 100 times worldwide and are a multilayered process that takes around 18 months to complete on average, according to the Mail.

Dr. Porrett and her team delivered a baby boy through UAB's program in May. His mother was born without a uterus due to a rare disease.

The comprehensive procedure is done by removing a uterus from a deceased or living donor who is of reproductive age, which the clinic defines as biological women between 18 to 40 years old. Surgeons then transplant the uterus into the recipient which takes up to ten hours to perform.

The procedure entails linking blood vessels in the donor's uterus to blood vessels in the recipient's uterus, the outlet reports.

Dr. Porrett describes the process of sewing a little piece of the donor's vaginal tissue to the recipient's vagina as a “major technical difficulty.” This is required to ensure that the donor uterus may be connected to the recipient's cervix and vagina. Men do not have a vagina or a cervix, since they are men, which would make the surgical process entirely different.

If the procedure is successful, the patient will start menstruating which is the first time for many of these women.

The judge has preemptively excluded all arguments that the defense might level related to the morality of abortion and its legality.

In a criminal trial I thought it was the job of the defense to argue in any way they thought reasonable to defend their client in court. I also thought it was the job of the jury to adjudicate the truth of the arguments offered by each side; and that it was the job of the judge to assure as much as possible that impartial jurors be selected to adjudicate whether the guilt of the defendants has been proven or not, and to impartially oversee the procedural progress of the trial.

Such, however, does not seem to have been the understanding of the judge in the present FACE Act trial in Washington D.C. in which charges of conspiracy and violations of a federal statute – a statute dependent upon the now-overturned Roe v. Wade and designed to assure at the federal level access to abortion facilities – are being leveled against nine pro-lifers, who sought to rescue the unborn from the untimely death of abortion.

Yesterday, while I watched Day One of the trial unfold in the courtroom, the prosecution and defense made their opening statements and heard the first several witnesses that the prosecution brought to the case. If the selection of a predominantly pro-abortion jury – in a case in which the defendants have said they acted out of their conviction that abortion is the murder of the baby – were not already an indication that the verdict is essentially predetermined in this trial, then the continual objections of the prosecution during the opening statement of the defense, and the full cooperation of the judge in sustaining them, should indicate the guided direction in which this trial is going.

This is the horrifying moment a private jet flying from a luxury holiday island crashed and exploded in a huge fireball on a busy Malaysian road, leaving ten people dead.

The plane nosedived onto the tarmac in the town of Elmina in Shah Alam, Selangor province, shortly before 3pm local time after departing from the holiday island of Langkawi, killing all eight people on board and two unfortunate motorists.

Shocking video of the crash showed how the plane immediately erupted into flames as it smashed into the concrete, while a clip of the aftermath saw the wreckage billowing black smoke after it veered off the road and onto the nearby grass verge.

Johari Harun, a state assemblyman in central Pahang state in charge of housing and the environment, was among the plane passengers killed, police said.

Shah Alam district police chief Mohamad Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed that all the passengers on the plane had perished, as well as a pair of motorists.

'For now, I can say at least 10 people were killed in the plane crash. Two passing motorists - one in a car and one on a motorcycle - also perished together with the eight on board the plane,' Ibrahim declared.

Disturbing photographs from the scene showed how the plane had partially disintegrated after the brutal impact, with the charred wreckage of the stricken motorcycle pictured lying in the street.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit has handed down a major victory for free speech against the District of Columbia. In Frederick Douglass Foundation v. District of Columbia, Judge Neomi Rao reversed district court judge James E. Boasberg who dismissed the challenge by pro-life protesters who alleged that they were treated differently from Black Lives Matter (BLM) protesters. The selective enforcement of city ordinances gave what Judge Rao called “a monopoly in expressing its views . . . the antithesis of constitutional guarantees.”

The contrast in these cases was raised by a few commentators and sites in prior years.

In the summer of 2020, the city allowed thousands of Black Lives Matter protesters to take over streets in D.C. without any permit. The police watched as protesters wrote slogans and slurs on stores, streets, and sidewalks with paint and chalk. No one was arrested.

However, later two pro-life advocates in a protest in front of a D.C. Planned Parenthood facility were immediately arrested when they chalked “Black Pre-Born Lives Matter” on a public sidewalk.

Chief Judge Boasberg previously held that they had no right to challenge the selective enforcement of the laws. They simply had to plead guilty and accept that their views were not given the same official tolerance.

Judge Rao reversed the trial court and said this is precisely what the First Amendment is meant to prevent. The D.C. Circuit noted that such selective prosecution cases are based on one of the hardest claims to prove: “Selective enforcement claims must clear a high hurdle. Because the lawful exercise of prosecutorial discretion does not violate the Constitution, disparate enforcement of a neutral ordinance based on viewpoint is unlawful only when the prosecutorial factors are similar, and ‘unlawful favoritism’ remains the predominant explanation for the government’s targets.”

US begins barring Chinese EV products with forced labor ties

A recently-enacted law to prevent incentivizing forced labor in China is beginning to affect electric car makers.

The U.S. government has been recently cracking down on electric vehicle batteries from China that are connected to forced labor in the communist country, according to a new report from Reuters.

Per the article, the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFPLA), enacted roughly a year ago, has been stalling the heavily-Biden-subsidized solar sector, but is now also being used to halt imports of EV products like lithium-ion batteries, as well as other products that could contain aluminum and steel.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has ramped up inspections on these products.

This could spell trouble for the EV industry in America, as manufacturers are having to increasingly show that their supply chains aren’t benefiting from China’s Uyghur labor camps pursuant to UFPLA.

The Chinese government has for years pursed policies amounting to genocide against the Muslim Uyghur population in northwestern China.

The Biden administration has relied on both solar and EVs dramatically for its green energy transition, putting hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to work funding it. A study published yesterday by Power the Future noted Biden’s choices have “enriched” Communist China, since it allegedly controls around 80% of the market share for energy minerals.

The International Chess Federation has barred transgender individuals who are biological men from competing in its women's only events pending "further analysis."

The decision will not affect the open play tournaments, CNN reported. The majority of FIDE's events are open play, while only a handful of events are exclusive to women.

"The absence of such regulations caused ambiguity and therefore an established order was needed to provide the right of the transgender players being properly represented on the official register of FIDE," the group told the outlet.

"FIDE recognizes that this is an evolving issue for chess and that besides technical regulations on transgender regulations further policy may need to be evolved in the future in line with research evidence," its handbook states.

The new guidelines drew flak from transgender advocates, while others questioned the need to divide the tournaments by sex in the first place. Women's sports advocate Riley Gaines, however, celebrated the decision, contending the dispute was more a matter of preserving women only spaces.

"You hear the argument about brain size and brain ability. That's missing the point. The women's category is meant for women," she said on Fox News.

The El Centro Planned Parenthood was reportedly on fire in the early morning hours on Tuesday, at approximately 2 a.m.

The clinic provided abortions to residents of Arizona, where it is banned after 15 weeks.

It took fire crews approximately three hours to put out the blaze.

According to a report from The Intercept, the fire began in a pile of items donated to the Salvation Army, which shares a fence line with the clinic.

No patients or staff were in the building, and no injuries were reported.

AFL requested records related to the cost of the office’s years-long investigation of President Trump and documents related to the rate at which the office declines to pursue felony charges in other cases. ABQ Journal reported:

The FBI shot and killed a person Tuesday morning in Albuquerque but released few details about the incident, including where it took place.

The agency’s Public Affairs Office said in a news release that the shooting occurred around 6 a.m.

“One subject is deceased and FBI personnel were unharmed,” according to the release. “The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously.”

The FBI did not say where in the city the shooting happened, if the person who was killed had a weapon or give any other details.

Bipartisan House group pushes for select committee, classified hearings into UFOs

The bipartisan group of representatives pushing for public information on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) is having difficulty continuing their effort after a blockbuster committee hearing last month.

The Hill hosted an event Thursday, The Truth Is Out There: UFOs & National Security, which was moderated by congressional reporter Mychael Schnell and featured three of the four members of Congress who have pushed for UAP transparency.

“I hear from people more on this subject than anything else,” Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) said. “Not the Trump indictments, not Hunter Biden. They are talking about the UAP hearing because there’s great interest in this government transparency issue.”

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn) said the group — comprising Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla), Moskowitz and himself — will likely not get another opportunity for a hearing unless Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) designates a select committee on UAPs as they have requested.

That select committee would give subpoena powers to force leaders in the Department of Defense and others to testify and push past the “roadblocks” the group has faced so far in seeing classified material and getting timely responses, Burchett said.

“We’re running into a lot of roadblocks there, and that’s the problem with this whole thing. It just creates more and more conspiracy theories because our federal government is so arrogant and so bloated, and they’ll just run out the clock,” Burchett said. “I’m guilty of this as well, but Americans want their pizzas in 30 minutes or less, and that’s about our dadgum attention span.”

Burchett and Luna haven’t heard back from the Speaker since they made the request, they said. The Hill has reached out to McCarthy’s office for comment.

The hearing last month featured three witnesses who have firsthand knowledge of UAP sightings. Former intelligence officer whistleblower David Grusch claimed the government has recovered “non-human biological pilots” from downed UAPs, which the Pentagon has denied.

In the hearing last month, Grusch said he couldn’t speak on much of his knowledge because it is classified. But the investigating members told The Hill they are being slowed by the Pentagon on getting a classified hearing with Grusch started.

“The excuse that the Department of Defense is using for us not being able to get a SCIF is that Grusch doesn’t have an active [security] clearance. So unless he has active clearance, they’re saying that he can’t divulge that information to us, which, one, I believe is false,” Luna said at The Hill event. “The Department of Defense is literally trying to stonewall us.”

Jeffrey Epstein referred Obama White House counsel to JPMorgan as potential customer

Sex predator Jeffrey Epstein was involved in establishing the client relationship between Obama White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler and JPMorgan Chase in February 2019, four months before he was arrested on federal child sex trafficking charges, a new court filing revealed.

Ruemmler, who is now general counsel for Goldman Sachs, was touted by Epstein’s personal assistant to JPMorgan as a would-be customer, the filing shows.

The suggestion that JPMorgan take Ruemmler on as a client — which the bank warmly embraced — came almost six years after JPMorgan said it had effectively fired Epstein as a client after repeated red flags being raised about him for years internally at the bank.

And it came five months before Epstein killed himself in August 2019 in a Manhattan federal jail, where he was being held without bail pending trial.

Texas grip operator ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) asked residents to reduce energy usage amid a sweltering heat wave to avoid rolling blackouts.

ERCOT manages electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers and represents 90% of the state’s electric load, according to the company.

How Did Big Pharma Buy So Many Governments?

Among the many alarming revelations from the "Facebook Files" is the discovery of a strange official policy that dominated the platform in the COVID-19 years.

“For content that doesn’t meet that threshold, we instituted borderline demotions,” the company wrote on July 16, 2021.

“For example, someone sharing negative side effect posts. Similarly, posts questioning whether you get a vaccine under a mandate, whether it’s government overreach. We demote those. That’s not false information but it leads to a vaccine-negative environment.”

This formerly trusted platform had become a major source of news for millions. Users believed it to be an authentic expression of what their friends were thinking and doing. It turns out that, regarding any injury caused by the vaccine, people were silenced. Meanwhile, major media was screaming at everyone that these shots are necessary, safe, and effective—none of which was true. But users didn't know that this was occurring.

The policy was pushed by the federal government on all major social media platforms, which massively distorted public debate. Anyone who spoke about the downsides of the vaccine was treated as a crank and a public danger. All claims that contradicted the government and pharmaceutical line were demoted or deleted for creating a “vaccine-negative environment.”

I was personally denounced in many articles for raising questions about the shots.

It’s no wonder, then, why it has been so incredibly difficult to gain any real clarity about the risk profile of these shots. The age gradient of risk was widely obscured throughout the entire period, all in the interest of imposing universal lockdowns and then shots for everyone, even those who were at zero risk from the virus.

To this day, there's no honest discussion of this topic in official circles. No major media or tech company has apologized. We only have the above policy documentation because the House of Representatives under Republican control forced Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to cough it up. Now, we know that the official policy of government and its allied tech companies was to keep the public in the dark.

The extent of the damage and death caused by the vaccine is left to independent researchers who are working from a tsunami of anecdotes and hard-to-find data. There's a concerted effort to cover it all up, no doubt. It's all done on behalf of the winning pharmaceutical companies and their deployment of a new platform technology for what they call vaccines, even though mRNA shots would never have been called that a few years ago.

One of the biggest mysteries in Solano County may be one step closer to being solved.

Since 2018, a shadowy company called Flannery Associates has been buying up land around Travis Air Force Base — so much land, in fact, that it is now the biggest property owner in the county. Its land now surrounds the military base on three sides, said Congressman John Garamendi, who represents California’s 8th District.

In July, the story went public when the Wall Street Journal published a report about how Flannery Associates has spent nearly $1 billion in land acquisitions in the county. Because the group incorporated in Delaware, state regulations mean there is no public paper trail of who is behind the limited liability company. Even government officials are stumped, prompting Garamendi to publicly voice his concerns that it could be a national security issue.

If Flannery Associates is to be believed, its investors are spending mind-boggling amounts of money to own the dry, rolling hills between Fairfield and Dixon and the marshlands south to Rio Vista. In a lawsuit the group filed in May, it accused a number of Solano County landowners of illegally colluding to drive up prices when Flannery came calling. In the suit, Flannery Associates said it was already offering over $15,000 per acre for properties around Jepson Prairie and Montezuma Hills.

For reasons not explained by Flannery, it admits in the lawsuit to paying far above the market rate for its Solano County acquisitions. Since 2018, Flannery says it bought or was under contract with 140 separate properties to the tune of over $800 million. “Except for the initial few purchases, Flannery’s purchases have been at a substantial premium to fair market values,” the filing claims.

Despite its land grab, Flannery Associates has never made public what it intends to do with 52,000 acres of Solano County — an empire that is nearly double the size of the city of San Francisco. In the suit, Flannery only details the ways in which it won’t alter the land: It claims it told landowners that they could keep “existing income streams from wind energy and natural gas storage,” could “continue using these properties rent-free for decades,” and would receive “significant grants from Flannery for charitable giving, to be used at the [landowners’] discretion to support local schools and other non-profits.”

Now, a government probe into Flannery’s investors may be in the works.

CNN first reported that the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States may be looking into the secretive purchases. CFIUS, which falls under the Treasury Department’s purview, has the power to review certain real estate or investment transactions by foreign buyers to determine if there is a security risk to the United States.

When asked for comment, a spokesperson from the Treasury Department said CFIUS does not publicly comment on transactions it is reviewing.

I swear, Warren Zevon wrote that song for Hunter Biden, even if he didn’t know it at the time. Which he didn’t. If Hunter has a Secret Service detail, one of his agents should play this on a boom box every time Hunter walks into a room. The breaks just keep on coming for America’s Fortunate Son.Judge Maryellen Noreika has given the go-ahead nod to a motion by the DOJ to file charges against Hunter Biden in a new district instead of Delaware. The Daily Caller reported:

Federal prosecutors filed a motion last week stating that Hunter Biden’s case will likely “not resolve short of a trial” and seeking to dismiss charges filed in Delaware, given the fact that plea negotiations were “at an impasse.” The prosecutors wrote that the proper venue for the tax charges “lies either in the Central District of California or in the District of Columbia.

Oh, thank God. California or the District of Columbia. Lady Justice, please pick up a white courtesy phone. Your car is being towed. This, of course, will allow Hunter’s case to be heard by a different judge. Not surprisingly, Noreika is a Trump appointee. Tom Cotton had this figured out last week when he tweeted:

The Daily Caller noted that Hunter’s original plea deal stated that he would plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and enter a diversion agreement to keep him out of the clink for the gun charge. That deal died on July 26, when Noreika found a section of the agreement that gave Hunter broad immunity against future charges.

According to the Caller, in the August 13 filing, Hunter’s lawyers asserted that the terms of the deal were “largely dictated” by DOJ prosecutors and that the diversion agreement is “valid and binding.” However, in a filing on August 15, Special Counsel David Weiss argued that the diversion agreement was not in effect and that Hunter’s interpretation of it, including that of enjoying “broad immunity,” was “a problem entirely of their own making.”

Well, if at first you don’t succeed, try court-shopping. Which is a snap for Joe Biden’s DOJ.

A former ICE official under Donald Trump is calling the Biden administration guilty of fueling illegal child labor through the border crisis.

Former Trump U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) chief of staff and current Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) director of investigations Jon Feere wrote an August 15 opinion piece for the New York Post. He argued that the “Biden administration is responsible for launching the largest explosion of illegal child labor in American history through lawless immigration policies” and urged Congress to take action.

”In just the past two years, investigators have found shocking instances of young children working at slaughterhouses in Nebraska and Hyundai suppliers in Alabama,” Feere wrote. “All because President Biden would rather see children working than actually enforce our immigration laws.” Feere has a solution, though — Congress can require ICE to step up its worksite investigations every month and file quarterly reports.

While ICE investigations often end “child labor, exploitation, identity theft, tax evasion and a host of other crimes,” Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas “gutted this effort the first year of the Biden administration,” Feere explained. Mayorkas issued a memo telling ICE to stop “cease mass worksite operations” and investigations into employers if it were likely that such investigations would lead to arrests of many illegal aliens. It’s insane what the Biden administration does to facilitate law-breaking.

Feere noted that Mayorkas’s “lawless memo” does not restrict Congress from funding more worksite investigations, however. “Congress could also require the Department of Labor to work with ICE and ensure that illegal immigrants identified during a DOL investigation aren’t allowed to move to a different employer,” he added. Democrats “quietly encourage” this problem, he insisted.

There is a practice of DOL effectively blocking ICE investigators from visiting problematic worksites until DOL wraps up its own investigations, which can go on for years.

By the time ICE shows up, the unlawful labor is gone and evidence of the employer’s crimes may be unavailable.

Congress can also choose to block a provision included in previous DHS funding bills that prohibits ICE from arresting most sponsors of illegal-alien children arriving at our borders.

These are the children being exploited at worksites across the country, but in 2019, language written by then-Sen. Kamala Harris stopped ICE’s efforts to vet and arrest most sponsors, potential sponsors and anyone living in the house of these sponsors.

Health and Human Services reports on abuse and trafficking more than doubled within a three-month timeframe after Harris’s problematic idea became law, Feere wrote.

Feere ended with the sobering statement that the Biden administration’s “zeal” to bring in illegal aliens and to overlook those hiring illegals has “dramatically expanded child labor” in America.
