>introduction to waifu-realism
my motive with this thread is to give those with a waifu/husbando a more psychologically healthy aproach to having one because isn't it better for them to be real in some form rather then just a figment of your imagination? this aproach to having a waifu/husbando as an added bonus will also make you a better person over all because say your waifu is in love with a character more physically fit then you, this should encourage you to work toward becoming as physically fit as that character, or say you're waifu is Fluttershy, if thats the case try to rework your personality to be more like Discord and so on.
>waifu-realism
Before I begin I want to ask if any of you remember the original 1947 version of Miracle on 34th Street, do you remember the means by which the lawyer was able to prove the existance of Santa Claus by sheer technicality alone and not in any way what so ever in the literal sense of what it means to prove something's existance? that's what I'm about to do here and I'm going start off my first example using my waifu Mai Shiranui, imagine this process like playing a game of hide and seek with your waifu and mine must be pretty good at this game because we cant seem to find her anywhere, you can look for her all day but you'll never find her as long as you're looking for her in the literal sense so where then is this elusive hiding spot? to find that we must go back to the root of who your waifu is, my waifu is the mascot of SNK and SNK is a video game company that actually physically exists in our reality and since Mai is their mascot then SNK itself is Mai Shiranui because that's the very concept of what a mascot is! a character representative of the organization that owns it.
Now lets use the main 6 from mlp fim as an example, is your pony waifu one of the main 6? then knowing where in our physical reality they can be located should be of valuable information to you and believe it or not episode 2 reveals their whereabouts
>Twilight Sparkle is the element of magic
>friendship is magic
>Twilight Sparkle is the concept of friendship itself
if you are someone who really cares about his friends and enjoys the times you've spent with your friends then that joy you feel everytime you're with them is Twilight Sparkle.
>Pinkie Pie = laughter
has there ever been a time you laughed so hard your sides hurt? prehaps a friend told you a really funny joke or maybe there was a Jim Carrey film you couldn't stop laughing at, that state of being itself is Pinkie Pie.
>Applejack = honesty
all trustworthy people as a whole that have earned other people's trust through years of reliability, these people as a whole collectively are Applejack.
>Fluttershy = kindness
when you see someone giving money or food to the homeless, that act in itself is Fluttershy, when a man pushes another out of the way of a speeding vehicle, that act in itself is Fluttershy, when my dog comprehending empathy came up and licked the tears off my face the day I lost my friends back on ponyville.us, that act in itself is Fluttershy, so if Fluttershy is your waifu then having her in your life is easier then you think.
>Rarity = generosity
simply the act of giving what you can to those less fortunate, that act in itself is Rarity.
>Rainbow Dash = loyalty
I'm loyal to my teachers and professors who stood by me when no one on Ponychan would, while those facilitating in my education encouraged me to give it my all to get a passing grade I was discouraged time and time again on Ponychan, so if you're looking for Rainbow Dash you wont find her there because Rainbow Dash is loyalty itself.
so now that we have located all our lost waifus in this game of hide and seek, it's now their tern to locate us and here's what I mean, whether you want to admit to it or not your waifu probably already has a romantic intrest within her story's world and no amout of lies you tell yourself will change that, believe it or not though this is actully a good thing because it provides us with a template of what to model ourselves after, rather then looking at the situation from the perspective of "she's in love with someone else" work toward becoming that someone else!
>conclusion
I have given you the tools to make yourself a better person over all and repurposed the concept of a waifu/husbando as a means of giving you those tools to work with, what you do now is up to you.
