So I haven't read any of the IDW comics, what exactly makes them worse than this one? Also, do you have more information as to the production of this comic, and did they perhaps have to follow certain guidelines, like drawing the CMC with their supposed cutie marks or pushing panda-rings; was this done by fans with Hasbro's blessing or marketers YOU DECIDE!? Why does each page have a title? Will there be more?
Anyway, it was enjoyable, though I wish it was right-to-left for a more "authentic" feel, at the very least in the ninja part fuck Naruto. I feel that Celestia was a out of character/too loose (she definitely would NOT be acting like she does in the newer seasons; she was much more formal originally, and the fun she had was much more subtle), and I do miss when Twilight had to try to do magic. I mean, as an alicorn, it makes sense not to have difficulty conjuring up effort, but making sure that will is expressed in the right way should still take practice, I think. I also think that the stories are a bit too short, but it's not so bad. There are some minor nitpicks like certain word or spelling choices that seem odd or are outright wrong for the setting (and likely more---though relatively minor—character discrepancies I didn't quite pick up on; also, I still hate Discord post-Season 4), but otherwise I enjoyed the stories (paneling could be a bit better, in my opinion), though I enjoy the idea of Applejack having been in the Filly Scout's, and Star Dancer a cute.
Also, holy shit moe Rainbow Dash is extremely fuckable.
