S2 easily had the best writing of any season. Even if you don't agree with the overall plot direction, the individual episodes were the gold standard of pone.

They were shit anon. And not only did Faust, Renzetti, Paul Rudish, Chris Savino and the rest left, but the actual creative team was no longer allowed to give input because they had a new guy in charge of the vision.

"Boast Busters" and "Stare Master" were nowhere near the best episodes of the season, and Renzetti left following Season Two. Honestly, I do not think that there is much doubt that Meghan McCarthy and Amy Keating Rogers were the best writers of the first season.

I cannot since I finished marathoning seasons 1 to 4 when inspiration manifestation was announced. All I can say is I watched the change happen gradually as a newfag, completely unbiased

Well unless you're Sethisto(dragon-fucking furfaggot) you would have been horribly bothered to wait 5 months of hiatus only to notice that Faust's involvement ended when she posts her message deviant art on.

Every episode was going to be in the same style of lol so randumb/parody/insulting.

And worse it wasn't something you could easily transition to and enjoy. If you came straight out of season 1 - full of subtlety, huge loads of decent dialogue, all 6 main characters contributing every episode, everyone acting normal in the head. Then it was absolutely impossible to love seasons 2+ for completely taking a shit on everything season 1 was doing.

Yet somehow. We ended up with a lot of people praising and loving season 2 for being G3 with memebait.

That"s because since day 1 (and especially during the summer 2011) the teenagers have grown to enjoy the obnoxious parody jokes and videos that spawned out of the fandom. So for them the transition felt much more natural and easier.

Most of them paid more attention to the fancreations instead of season 1's writing.

That is a steaming load of shit. Season One was not subtle, just quieter. The dialogue got much better in the second season, primarily because the voice actors were given direction and more than a quick take to record lines. The voice actors did not really know what to do with the characters in the first season. As for the characters behaving more normally, they acted like adult children.
