If you were given a drug that could make you smarter, would you take it? Anonymous 04/18/25 (Fri) 21:41:29 ff2bf5 No. 13593910
If any of you have trouble learning you could start taking peptides and or nootropics (not meme ones that are glorified vitamins) like Cerebrolysin, Semax, Dihexa, Isrib, Epobis, Neboglamine, Tak 653, and Tropisetron to improve your memory, focus, creativity, motivation, mind clarity, and enhance your ability to understand problems. They also repair brain damage, including age related degradation, and increase reaction time + hand eye coordination.
You can take them intranasally as well to get more of it directly to your brain, which is especially beneficial for Cerebrolysin since the alternative is injecting it and the recommended dosing that way is 5ml a day which is a lot to inject.
-cosmicnootropic.com and rupharma.com have cerebrolysin + semax
-Science.bio has Dihexa and isrib
-pglchem.com and isrib.shop have isrib
-jennyschem.com has Epobis but it's not listed, you have to email them and ask about Epobis, I confirmed this with someone who bought it from there and posted pics of it + his experiences with it on r*ddit. Jennyschem also has much, much cheaper prices than the other companies here as they're the actual manufacturer of the substances they sell and not middlemen that buy raw peptides from China like all the others I've listed. Downside is the shipping takes longer since they're in China. Also, make sure to buy the lyophilized pre-vials, as the raw powder they sell is not ready for injection, although I have seen someone on reddit putting the raw powder up their ass to get around this. If you're doubting the legitimacy of this company since they're in China, I recommend you look up reviews of them on r*ddit
-everychem.com has Tak 653, Tropisetron, and Neboglamine
Other good sources include peptidesciences.com, umbrellalabs.is, and amino asylum

You need to get your account approved by the owners of science.bio to purchase things on there, just say you are researching the effects of UV light on degradation of chemicals and look up a bunch of lab and safety equipment on google and say you have that in the approval form.
If you're interested in reading more about these substances I'd recommend the nootopics, nootropics, and peptides subreddits
Another substance you should look into is called Emeramide. From what I've read it's some revolutionary drug that is very good at removing heavy metals from your body and is apparently quite safe, I've read no other metal chelator comes close to it in terms of effectiveness. It was developed by an anti vaxxer to remove mercury from your body that came from vaccines, which I've also read never leaves your body and instead just goes to a different part of it and causes problems there. Removing mercury and other heavy metals that may be in your brain would bring mental benefits to you.
This site was listed by the person I heard about emeramide from on here as a place that sells legit emeramide

I'm interested in things like this. I never believed any of this kind of stuff until I tried various mushrooms (are these glorified meme vitamins?) like Lions Mane and Reishi. Both had very slight effects day to day which were profound enough for me to buy into it for a while (focus, lack of brain fog, simple mental math becomes trivial etc). I don't take them often, but when I remember to I find myself much more alert, which allows me to math better. Also, Lions Mane taken at night gives me very intense dreams. This isn't a very productive use of the drug though imo, I just like to use it as an example to prove to non-believers that any of this stuff works.

> a drug that could make you smarter
You can't.
Your max intelligence is genetic. It's the number and connectivity of the neurons you've got.
What you can do though is sleep and dream. Dreaming is the act of your brain re-weighting the connections of your neurons. Dreaming is literally your brain learning. Day dreaming is good too but less effective than full dreaming.
If you want to learn new things fast, zone out after going over it and let your brain daydream for a bit. Make sure you get 8 hours sleep.
This isn't going to help with concepts which are simply beyond your brain's potential though.

Yeah but you can tap into existing potential for sure. I don't think anyone really means to imply these things will make you more intelligent, just that they allow your brain to function better. I haven't tried anything OP has talked about but wouldn't be opposed to trying something along those lines. Caffeine gets me super focused, but I don't like any of the other effects unfortunately. That's just another example of easy to replicate proof that there are substances out there that can help you perform mental tasks, bypassing fog, without stepping into the realm of substances that make you feel different/high. Same for nicotine, some say it's the white mans thinking drug of choice.

I am too smart as it is, and the more I learn the more pain I am in.
Being smarter doesn't make you wiser.
The wise man is the one who prospers, the one who increase knowledge increases sorrow.
You could learn everything about everything and the world would still suck.
I would rather disconnect from society and live a happy simple life with the people I love.
Just my 2cents.

You're conflating "smart" and "knowledge". Both are important, though.

I don't there's any drugs that can actually make you smarter. Sure some can make you more motivated in the short term, but long term its better to find something you're naturally good at and learning and progressing becomes much easier and fun
